Nice Upgrade to 25 year old Freezer

I am very happy with this freezer and with the delivery service, but there were a few things that surprised me: - No surprise, because I measured, this freezer is much larger that the one it replaced - not sure of its cu.ft, but it was shorter, more narrow and not as deep - The storage options, drawers and moveable shelves makes it much easier to organize frozen food - things will be much easier find, however with all its extra size, it does not hold a lot more than the old freezer. Considering the difference, I expected a fully empty shelf, but not so. It is almost full with the food I removed from the old freezer. - The power cable is very short. We keep the freezer on concrete blocks in the remote chance that we will get water in the basement. Because of the height of this freezer, we went down from 6" blocks to 2" blocks. It is a good thing we had them. When the freezer was installed on the blocks, the cord did not reach the outlet which was halfway up the wall. It seemed that the delivery people were going to leave it that way, saying that we needed to get an extension cord. Fortunately, they were persuaded to start over, move the blocks two inches closer to the outlet and then the cord did reach. All in all, we are very happy with all the new conveniences with this freezer, including the digital temperature indicator that is mounted on the front door, the very bright interior lights and the organizational options that I hope will make it less likely that I buy duplicates of things I have, but did not find,

I don't have a lot to say about this unit other than I am happy with it. Love the temperature gauge on the outside, as I walk past it and see the BIG 0 I know it is working properly. I left the last freezer open a little and did not realize it more than once. The other is Kenmore is such a great name and reliable product. I don't trust sears any longer buying it from Amazon was a nice surprise. delivery was organized and had no problems and the extended warranty was fairly priced. Glad I purchased this.

Well laid out and lit, spacious freezer

Arranging the shelves and baskets in the main compartment and door is simple, and makes organizing the contents very convenient. Interior lighting is exce;llent, holds temperature well. The delivery service was excellent, The truck arrived right on schedule, the delivery people unwrapped the unit, leveled it, and made sure everything was working before they left.

My freezer was working great but at 20 years old, I was getting nervous, Though we have insurance against food loss in case of an issue through our home owners, and an alarm to signal temperature increases above settings, we also travel. As it was getting older, the possibility potentially coming home to thawed, rotten food became more of a possibility. It was also not energy efficient. A replacement of my refrigerator last year dropped our power bill about $30 a month. I looked for a few months at local retailers f0r a nice freezer that had nice bins to organize the food, well lit, had an alarm, and was still comparable in size to my old freezer.. I could only find one brand, and basically various sizes of the same lower to mid end models at the major local retailers where I shopped. I decided to check Amazon, and am so glad I did. The freezer arrived today and on express chill was to -10 degrees in just a couple of hours. The delivery team was, friendly, professional, right on schedule and set everything up and took my old freezer out for us. this freezer has baskets, bins, and several features to allow good organization of the food, It is very well lit with LED lights, so easy to see contents. It even has an outside door temp gauge and a door ajar and temperature alert alarm. I am so happy with it.! I have had Kenmore products for years, so am comfortable that it will be durable and last well.

What a great deal!

Have had this freezer over a month now. What a wonderful item! Shipping company that delivered this freezer was polite, careful with delivery, explained product. This is the first time we have bought a large appliance from Amazon. We should not have worried and will not hesitate to do so again. Very, very impressed!
