I bought this to replace my Dyson whose battery died and that pretty much does them in. I liked the fact that this has removable rechargeable batteries. Very easy to use. Everything on it is well married. The batteries have held up very well. One battery lasts longer than a single charge on The Dyson. The suction is very good. Easy to clean and store.

I bought this to replace one that was twice the price. This one is heads and tails above the other. It has two batteries so one is charging while you use the other so you don't run out of steam halfway through. Also, the batter lasts much longer than the expensive one I have. It also sits upright by itself. It folds over and becomes a shorter, balanced version that will sit. My more expensive one must hang in it's charger which is inconvenient if you only want to pause. It also has an on and off switch that stays where you put it. My expensive one must be held down to keep it going which is very tiring, especially on old fingers. It picks up very well and has good attachments. I'm very happy which says a lot on anything I buy presently - don't seem to make things very well anymore. This was done with some thought and it does a good job on my ceramic tile floors.

This vacuum is fantastic! Picks up what my previous other premium brand missed. It does get closer to walls, furniture, etc. plus has an attachment that will reach under furniture that is close to the carpet. I am elderly and find this easier to use than any other vacuum I have had AND I think it is better than any other vacuum I have had.

Excellent vacuum with great suction for a cordless vac. I have a Shark Rotator corded as my regular vacuum and it is a cleaning beast. It can suck a bowling ball through a garden hose. I was not expecting a cordless vac to have as much suction as a corded model, but this one does not disappoint. Having just returned a Tineco cordless vacuum for lack of suction and overheating issues, I really appreciated this one. The suction is good, the Duo Clean rollers grab every speck of dirt (except by the edges) and does a great job on everyday pick ups, which is what I bought it for. I don't understand the bad reviews over battery life. I have vacuumed my entire 1200 sq ft apartment with battery life to spare. I have birds and they are VERY messy. I vacuum up bird food the size of dry dog and cat food 3 times a day and have yet to need to do a second pass to pick any of it up. Not to mention copious amounts of bird dust and feather down. The dust cup has adequate capacity and is easy to clean. This Ion Flex is perfect for daily pick ups and was exactly what I was looking for. I love the flex wand that slides under furniture and cages and it folds nicely for storage. I was considering a Dyson V8 Animal but did not like the permanent battery because all Lithium ion Batteries have a lifespan and I would hate to get rid of a $500 vacuum cleaner when it needs a new battery when I can just buy a replacement battery in a couple of years. I purchased this model with 2 batteries, but one does the job on my tile floors and low - medium pile carpets. I love the brush roller cleaning garage with the slot for cutting hair off the roller. What a joy! Rarely have I been so impressed by a vacuum cleaner and both my Sharks exceeded my expectations. I love that the attachments fit both my shark vacuums interchangeably. I wasn't expecting that. Had I known, I would have gotten the cheaper model without attachments. Although this one comes with the allergy duster tool I didn't have. Live and learn. I vacuum 3 times per day and have yet to run the battery down completely. It doesn't have the suction of my large corded vac, but I save the big guns (the Rotator) for the big weekend clean. The cord is a huge pain in the butt so this fits my daily cleaning needs perfectly. And no, I am NOT a clean freak. I just walk barefoot all the time and hate having my feet impaled by bird food and splintered shards from chewed up wood toys. I will report back on this vacuum if I run into any issues down the line. So far I have only used for a week (21 times) and couldn't be happier about this purchase. It cleans like a champ! +++UPDATE++++ After a month of using this vacuum 3 times per day. I love it more and more. I haven't used my corded vac in over 2 weeks. 4 Month Update! I would marry this thing! Best purchase EVER!

This is AMAZING!! I have had LITERALLY almost every vacuum on the market, they would work great at first then poop out quickly! I was very nervous about getting a cordless vacuum but WOW I’m amazed!! My home has 5 dogs, 2 cats, 3 boys and a blue collar do everything himself husband.. so you can imagine the dirt, hair and sand living on the Gulf coast that gets brought in to my home! Not only does the Shark Duo Flex Ion X2 clean every crevice in my tile floors it truly cleans my area rugs like nothing I’ve ever seen! I’m telling ya this vacuum acts like it’s starving! Every time I vacuum my rugs they look cleaner and they feel softer, so I’m very pleased! I have arthritis in my back and this is a breeze to clean with, it’s not loud and it seems self propelled which is a huge plus in my book! This was some of the best money I’ve spent! I am attaching pictures of my favorite area rug that is in my mane living room that everyone is always walking on and the dogs eat bones and lay around on it all the time.. plus I’m attaching a photo of the dirt, hair and sand this vacuum gets up! I’ve been running it just about everyday and it is still getting the ground in junk from deep in my area rugs. I put the machine on carpet and put it on max power. I hope this review will help people who are worried about the price and quality of the Shark duo flex ion X2!!

My wife wanted a corded vacuum, I bought her one and she loved it. Then the cord became a hassle so I bought her this cordless vacuum. She loves this too........ however....... it shuts off on a whim and the console flashes, and the handle gets hot. My wife did some research and decided that it overheats and keeps shutting off, even after putting a fresh battery in. Four stars for ease of cleaning because....... like every other vacuum, my daughter’s long hair gets wrapped around everything. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great vacuum, just needs a little tweaking, not sure why it gets hot within a few minutes. After getting frustrated with the shut off problem, I took all the filters out, all the handles off and found a small piece of tin foil stuck inside the handle just before the dirt goes into the container. Now you can feel the air venting out the handle as it should.

I saw this on an infomercial and came to check out the reviews on Amazon. It looked so easy on TV, but really? Could it be? What did people "really" think? I read all the reviews here and the one that sold me was someone saying how it good it worked on their wood floor and how much time it saved them. I HATE sweeping our wood floor. It's a pain. And it's dark wood so it shows the dirt fast. It really needs at least a once a day sweep. But the way I was doing it (sweep into piles then use the handheld vac to suck up the piles...often having to stop to empty the dust cup multiple times because it's so small) was really time consuming and didn't inspire me to want to do it. So I didn't. Being more efficient with my time was part of my New Year's goals. So I figured I'd give this a shot. OMG I wish I had seen that infomercial sooner and hadn't hesitated to go ahead and just fork out the dough for this so much sooner. My cleaning time is easily cut in half. Because not only can I do a quick vac pass on the wood floor, I can also do the carpets with a push of the button...all at the same time. I don't have cords to monkey with, don't have to move the coffee table (which is super heavy) out of the way anymore. This flexes and passes right under. We have 3 cats so I do have to stop and empty the dust cup, maybe even twice if I do carpets and wood at the same time. And I have found that for a quick clean up I don't have to sweep first, but for a deeper clean before mopping it's best to make my piles then suck them up with this vac, which still makes my job faster because I (a) don't have to bend over and (b) can suck it up all at once with only one emptying stop at the trash can. It's also more substantial than I was expecting. I had a Shark product years ago. It worked fine for a year then quit. I bought another and it died in about a year too. Or broke. But I remembered liking them, just that they felt kind of cheap and couldn't take my abuse. I switched to Ergorapidos which have lasted me for years now. (I have two, one upstairs and one down.) This vac however is much sturdier than the previous Shark products I'd owned. It is a little heavier than I was expecting too, BUT compared to my 25+ year old Royal? Less heavy, I don't have to worry about, "Is this the day the belt breaks and I have to spend 20 minutes wrestling with it?" (Which inevitably happens at THE worst time-crunched moments.) And NO MORE CHANGING FILTER BAGS! Omg trying to fit a new bag back on the hose...I've had 2+ decades worth of practice and I still have to fight with it every time. Nope. Not now. I never thought I'd be excited about vacuuming or cleaning my wood floors but now I'm looking for excuses to clean, all just so I can play with my new "toy. Even the stairs, which, let's face it, is even worse than sweeping wood floors in my cleaning book, but, "Why not go ahead and do them quick too?" is my new thought process. Which if I could insert the mind blown emoji here I would! My house hasn't been this clean in the 13 years we've lived here. So, yeah, this earns 5 stars from me and my hub for sure!

I hate most vacuum cleaners. They are either bulky and heavy or limited by poor design. What I really REALLY HATE about vacuum cleaners are the cords. They tangle, get in the way, and never seem to be long enough. I wasn't sure that this particular vacuum cleaner would make me happy either but I must say that it has become my favorite vacuum cleaner. In my search for a likeable vacuum cleaner I have owned many from the ridiculously expensive to popular department store models. For me, it is very well balanced, comfortable to use, and maneuvers easily. I have cats and a dog that sheds terribly so I vacuum daily. I have hardwood floors in my common living areas and carpeted bedrooms. The vacuum cleaner performs well on all surfaces. Gets up all the pet hair and cat litter without having to make multiple passes. In fact, it actually picks up cat litter better than my corded vacuum cleaner. I love the lighted head and it moves around and between furniture well. Battery run time is pretty good. Of course, I would like it to be longer but it has proven to be adequate for my daily needs. I really like having the two batteries. No expensive bags to have to order. My cats don't find the sound obnoxious and it takes very little room to store. My only two complaints involve using it in the handheld mode. Due to the placement of the battery compartment, it is awkward to use on a flat surface. I also wish it had a way to adjust the amount of suction. I personally don't think that it can completely repalce my aggravating corded vacuum cleaner. The corded vacuum is still useful for extended vacuuming needs but I seldom use it anymore. I really enjoy using this vacuum cleaner on a daily basis. I no longer dread the chore of daily vacuuming and I don't curse while I'm doing it. I'm really very happy with this vacuum cleaner.

My wife and I just love this vaccum cleaner. Being cordless makes usage very quick and handy. Suction is more than adequate. We highly recommend this shark ninja

I LOVE this thing. It's worth every penny! It is super powerful, it picks up everything in one pass much better than our old Dyson city canister. i have not had to use the "turbo mode" yet because it never has a problem picking up anything. It is super easy to use, it unfolds in a second, no cords, no tangling, no wrapping the hose around your legs, no reaching for that last extra inch because you don't want to change outlets again. absolutely no hassle. it makes it easier to grab the vacuum than reach for the broom. I can grab it and turn it on fast enough to vacuum our NYC apartment's pests before they flee, not having to squash bugs equals extra brownie points! it turns into a hand-vac in one click for quick clean-ups, perfect on the counter for cereal explosions or coffee grinds everywhere (ask me how I know...) it's light enough for my 10 yo to use it, and fun enough that he actually wants too. I can quickly clean up our 2 bedroom duplex easily on one battery but even if I want to go bananas and dust the baseboards, the second battery will keep me covered. For us, it just make cleaning easier and more seamless in our life. Do yourself a favor and get one and you can give your old vac away to one of those weird mythical people who find chores soothing. 4.5 stars because for that price they could have included a double charger, or at least a double adapter to charge both batteries at the same time.
