Great tape! If you are tired of the super thin, easily tangled tape that is the commonly available tape in your local stores, or even online...this tape is for you. It is thick enough that it doesn't tear or tangle easily. It rolls out nicely on my heavy duty handle roller and cuts cleanly. It is properly sticky and seals packages well. Shipping was prompt.

At least as good as Scotch HD Shipping tape!!!

We are packing a gazillion boxes to move so, because of the reviews, I ordered some of this Tape King as a "backup" tape hoping it was better than the cheap stuff from Harbor Freight. Our "go to" tape for important packing is the Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape. I immediately noted that the Tape King tape comes off the roll harder than the Scotch and is obviously stickier than the Scotch. It is of a quite similar weight and does NOT tear easily, just like the Scotch. The price tho is VASTLY better than the Scotch so I'm ordering a lot more and we'll be using this as our primary tape from now on. Great Stuff!!!

Tape That Works

Tape that works the way it should! It does stick to the box, you don't need invisible tape to tape your shipping tape. There is a chemical smell I didn't find it too overwhelming however it is noticable. Tape was easy to work with not a problem molding the tape to box to seal the corners. Overall good tape, the chemical smell could be a problem for some use in a well ventilated room.

Strong plus easy to use!

Just received this tape and continued with my packing to move. Had run out of the brand I had been buying from Costco and decided to try buying tape online instead of another shopping trip. What interested me in the reviews of this tape was the comment that it was thicker than the Scotch brand I had been using. Well not only is it thicker, which lets me use less tape to secure a heavy box, but it cuts much easier in my tape dispenser. I had actually thought the cutting edge had given out on that applicator but now I think it had just gotten gummed up with the thinner tape? Whatever the reason, it is now cutting fine once more. Plus a great price for the tape as well. I don't think I will run out of tape before all these boxes are packed for our move, but if I do, will definitely buy more of this brand for sure!

A Perfectly Acceptable Substitute for Scotch Packing Tape

We send out a lot of boxes. I'm always interested in reducing costs--but not at the expense of functionality. This tape is a little more flexible than the 3M, but only a little. It does have a bit of a smell (which doesn't persist), but optically it's just as clear as the Scotch brand tape-- and it's sufficiently strong enough to seal packing boxes. At half the price it's a no brainer. We'll be switching completely to this. If it were 95% of the cost, we'd stick with the Scotch brand. At half price, especially given the amount of tape we use, we're completely sold. Again-- if it were deficient in any way, we would not switch. This is a perfectly acceptable substitute.

Strong Tape! Low Cost!

I was in the packaging industry for 30 years and I know about tape. Do not get fooled purchasing the low cost tape with out knowing what your buying. Most tapes sold in the stores are 2 mil thick and the Tapeking I purchased is 3.2 mil thick. This means the 3.2 mil tape hold heavier loads without using twice the tape. Now that is a money saver. One other thing, you will pay more for a 3.2 mil thick tape in the stores so buy it on line from TapeKing it works! This is not an add, I use it and happy with it.

Tape King is the King of Tape!

GREAT STUFF FOR A GREAT PRICE! I've read a few mixed reviews of this tape, with the main "con" being that the tape is not completely opaque/clear. Well, it's true that if you look at the roll of tape is definitely has a yellow hue, but a single layer of tape is pretty much clear. It works perfectly fine to cover a shipping label. It's super sticky! I normally stick with Scotch or Duck brand tape because many other brands don't have a strong enough adhesive to keep boxes closed. However, Tape King has a really strong, durable adhesive. I kept a package in my car overnight before shipping and temperatures were in the low 20s. The Tape King tape held like a champ! The only drawbacks worth mentioning are that although this tape is listed as "super thick" it is rather thin. Much thinner than Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape. As such, I would guess Tape King would be more likely to rip/tear/cut than the more expensive brands. Also, the Tape King roll was a hair too large to fit into a Scotch brand tape dispenser because Tape King provides more tape per roll. After a few wraps of tape come off, it works fine. So, this is both a pro and a con. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tape King tape. It works very well for the money!

Better than expected, better than Scotch. Super Sticky:)

I was skeptical about using a knockoff tape brand because I primarily ship fire pits that weigh 50 lbs, but figured for the price difference I could use twice as much tape. This stuff is better than the Scotch brand shipping tape I had been using. Now my scotch tape is a couple years old, not sure if its less sticky as a result, but I can tell you that this stuff sticks to the boxes great, both new and old cardboard. Right off the bat, when I cut off a section, I could feel how much stickier it was on my fingers. Only time will tell how this holds up, ie if I have more packages come apart during shipping. But I can say with 99% certainty that this will be the shipping tape I will use from here on out.

Great quality product at an affordable price.

Quality tape at a reasonable price. This is much better than the Scotch brand ones and comparable to the Duck HP260. Heavy duty makes it stronger and easier to use. The only complaint really was that it was a somewhat strong odor for tape (at least upon first few days after opening). I assume this smell is the glue on the tape. I left it in my car and when I got in at the end of the day, there was a very noticeable smell. This will be my go to tape from now on.

One Less Big Headache!

Moving is STRESSFUL!!! Right now, I am up to my a** in (packing) alligators related to an impending move. I looked online for tape alternatives because the tape for sale at UHaul (yes, I decided to pack it all myself - what was I thinking?) is ridiculously expensive. I found this tape and some of the reviews were great. Let me tell you, I don't get the less than stellar reviews. This tape is great! It is strong, does NOT bunch up and most important, never slips from the end of the tape roller. Yep, there's a time-killer and a frustration-builder: trying to find the end of a roll of packing tape, while creating little splits in the tape as one picks trying to get the tape end going again. This tape is far superior than the tape I was using and makes my Herculean job more bearable. Let me tell you, when moving ANYTHING which facilitates is worth its weight in gold! And, this tape was so less expensive than many others I found on here. This stuff is the way to go!
