Fixed my XUV Blower Motor Speed Control - Simple to Do!
Part came in a timely fashion. With the help of a youtube video this was a pretty easy repair. Ince I rounded up the tool it only too a half hour. Fiddling with the connectors took the most time. The part matched up and fit fine and had the proper plug styles. My repair did not require the splicing in of the supplied plug into the harness. Thankfully! Supplied plug pigtails are not color coded. Once the old was out it was simply a matter of replacing 2 screws in the resistor block and plugging it all back together. Only time can tell if this is a durable part. It did work properly right away, returning my missing #2 speed to my blower motor. Vehicle it was installed in was a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV with 4.2 L motor, 4WD.

Worked Great for My 2004 k1500 crew cab
So I suddenly lost the high position on my AC blower ( number 5). This fixed it. The End. These fellas also included a new pigtail connector which it turned out I also needed and they even stripped the insulation on the 7 wires (thanks guys!) Recommend use of blue Posi-Loc connectors for splicing this. She runs like new, even with a bit more pep it seems.

Great purchase since the part fit and worked perfectly.
The part was a perfect fit for my 2006 GMC 1500 Sierra. I did not have to use the additional wire harness but it was nice to have just in case I needed it. The part worked and acted just like the original part I replaced. Some of the other items mentioned you had to modify the part to fit the hold but not this one, the holds lined up and I used the old screws. Very easy to change and now the fan switch works on settings.

my cab filled with smoke and smelled horrible. Scared the crap out of me
I rreplaced this part back in 2011 or so on my 04 Silverado 2500HD LS because I lost speed 5 on the blower motor for some reason. About year later there was a recall from GM for this part so they reimbursed me the $40 or so I paid for that. So obviously they have issues with this design. In july this year, my cab filled with smoke and smelled horrible. Scared the crap out of me, thought my engine was on fire. Turned truck off and the HVAC blower wouldnt shut down, even with the keys out, so I knew it was an issue with the blower. Finally found the fuse and pulled it and it stopped. I knew where this part was and its not hard to get to. When I took it out, the old one was melted bad, and even the wires on the leads from the truck were melted. So its great that this new unit comes with a new wire harness and not just the module. Pretty easy swap if you handy. Havent had an issue in months. GM should have to do more to fix this issue though, could have easily turned into a fire!

Worked as advertised.
I usually wait to see how the parts perform before doing reviews. With the temps reaching 97 here and my crew cab needing to cool off fast with small children I installed this and with the included harness (mine had burned) it went together well and all 5 fan settings work! So 5 stars for the US owned company! Will update if anything changes.

Works well.
The item contained a replacement wiring harness which wasn't necessary because the old one was still in good shape but I was happy that it came that way in case it needed to be replaced. Replacing it took less than a half hour. It went in without a problem and worked to solve the problem of the fan only working on the highest setting.

Great product/Great customer service
Just installed my AC blower motor resistor kit today so I'm not sure how it will work in the long run. The kit was very easy to install (with the use of a youtube video. The only thing that I had an issue with is the connector on the actual fan motor (figuring out how to remove the connector). This was solved with the video. Overall the part looks well made and it was delivered on time with no issues. Price was more than fair and the company that sells the item has stayed in touch with me all the way, just in case I had any problems. I now have my 5-speeds like when the truck was new. I can only imagine what it would have cost to have a mechanic do the job. I am very satisfied with the part and the customer service & I would highly recommend it if you are having issues with your blower speed control.

Should have replaced this sooner! Perfect fit for 2004 Silverado
I feel a bit ashamed that I did not replace the failing resistor in my 2004 Silverado (1500 LS with manual dual zone climate control) sooner. I haven't been able to use 5 on the blower control for several years and 4 was starting to get a bit suspect. I stumbled across this part by accident when looking at other parts and I couldn't believe the price. It was a quick swap, just had to pull off the lower cover in the passengers foot well and pull a couple of screws and unplug the plugs. There are videos online of the process but its pretty easy to figure out, although a couple of picks come in handy for the connectors since its in a tight spot. The replacement is an upgraded design from what I had and the burnt marks on the original makes me question my sanity for getting by by sneaking up on 4 or 5 for all this time. I waited a few months of trouble free service before reviewing and I am very happy.

I purchased this for my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 and it worked great. I had the new wiring harness spliced to the factor harness and the new resistor kit installed in less than 30 minutes. The fan worked perfectly when I tested it. The wiring harness was a quality product with 12 or 14 gauge wire to handle the current requirements for the fan circuit. The fuse is rated at 40 amps so the proper size of wire is critical to the sustainability of this harness.

Needed to replace old one due to all the fan speed's not working so I was getting no air flow. Day 1: Works great install was a slight hassle due to my wire harness was burned/melted (image attached) so I had to replace it. If your not sure you need to replace the wire harness I recommend you keep some wire cutters and electrical tape close by just in case and disconnect your Negative side of your battery before cutting any wire . over all it was easy install about 15 min if you don't have to replace the harness otherwise may take about an hour to rewire. I will update after a while to let you all know if its still doing its job.
