Picks up lots of pet hair on rug

I don't bother with this sweeper on the hard floor because a broom just works better, but on the rug, the sweeper works very well. I use it to pick up cat hair and litter. It keeps the rug tidy between vacuuming so I don't have to lug out the heavy awkward vacuum. I've only had it a couple days, but used it multiple times. It folds flat for easy storage. Beware if you are tall, the handle isn't very long. I'm 5'7" and it is barely long enough for me. This little sweeper is actually fun to use.

The Most Anticipated Amazon Purchase

Ordered this little guy about a month ago. It was marked down so I'm sure that had a lot to do with it. I did not vacuum the living room rug for a week so I could test it. I remember mom having one of these in the 70s but hers was way bulkier and heavier. This one is nice and light. Easy to maneuver. Just roll it back and forth and watch it do its job. The hole on the handle is not quite large enough to hang from my utility bar but I fixed that by making a makeshift loop with hemp twine. It now hangs next to the broom and sweepers. It picked up every bit of dirt and hair - I have two cats and one of them is a coon. He sheds a lot of hair - very surprised. I think it does almost as good a job as the vacuum cleaner. It picked up a good 2 - 3 cups of dirt, cat kibble, little bits of paper, leaves and hair.. Only time I had some difficulties was over the bamboo flooring. I passed over it several times before it picked up all the bits but it eventually did so, I can't really complain. All in all, for quick pick ups without electricity or a broom and pan, I'm loving it. The color is also adorable. I ordered the blue, it has a retro look to it.

Easy-peasy

This carpet sweeper is light and easy to use for everyday quick cleaning. We use it mainly in the living room where the most traffic occurs. Our 4 yr old daughter enjoys being helpful and this is a tool she has taken charge of. The sweeper is also nice-looking, for what it is, so we've taken to just standing it in a corner behind a door rather than having one more thing stuffed in a closet & forgotten. We ordered this one because we couldn't find a local store that carried anything similar. Our choice was based on price, name and looks - we're very happy with the performance.

Easy to use manual sweeper

The Bissell Manual Sweeper is very easy to assemble and does a wonderful job!...I use it to clean up after my two messy parakeets... It works very well!...I would recommend this product...

An excellent purchase

I love this. I no longer have children at home ro sweep up after, but 3 rambunctious, playful dogs who shred napkins, and make messes. My little Bissell sweeper takes care of my area rugs. It's lightweight but picks up whatever is needed. I'm thinking of buying another to keep in another part of the house. Don't hesitate, the price is right, delivery and packages was great.

Easy and quick carpet sweeper.

I love this product. It is so much easier than dragging the vacuum out. It's lightweight and very easy to use. It picks up quite alot from my rugs. Harder to pick up on the laminate. My one problem is, cat fur has filled the rollers. Does anyone have any quick way to get it off the rollers??

Works good for light cleaning

Doesn’t pick up every single little spec but it helps keep the floor tidy in between large cleanings.

This thing is the bomb!

I have a black patterned rug in my living room and it has to be vacuumed daily, even though we don't wear our shoes in the house. I dreaded dragging out the heavy vacuum and dealing with the cord everyday. I remember these type of vacuums from my childhood classrooms. This Bissell vacuum is amazing. At first I thought you had to press down really hard and it made me tired. But you don't! It picks everything up cat hair dust dirt Little Things. My carpet is medium pile and half of it is low pile and it works great on both. I haven't tried it on the floor yet I hope it works there too.
