I Light Up My Husband's World

Let me start this review by saying that I'm not really going to discuss the technical merits of these lights because...well, they work. They turn on and off with the TV (if we so choose), and they turn on and off with the remote. There are lots of fun "effects," but we tend to leave it on the "gently changing color mode" (so it won't distract us from Moonshiners, or Gold Rush or Curse of Oak Island.) Our TV is 65", so I needed an additional strand of lights, but we love the way it lights up only what we want (and ignores the pesky cables running down the middle.) Anyway, back to the review: Since "everyone knows" pictures speak volumes, I asked hubby to snap 1 or 2 that show the effect of the lights around the TV...and he sent me 30. I'm not kidding...he became a regular cinematographer in there, even going so far as to VIDEO the lights (so you can see them change!) That's just how much he loves these silly things. Call it Christmas for the other 11 months, but they are a super fun (and cheap) investment that will bring you hours of good clean fun. Really. Oh, and the customer service people are delightful and responsive. I had a question for them and they responded by email within a day. What that means is...there's actually someone on the other end of this product! In terms of brightness, the photos are unretouched, meaning the brightness is what you get when the lights are out and the TV is on. They aren't so bright that they compete with the television picture for your attention, but they add a very nice glow that kicks viewing up a notch. The remote requires a traditional 2032 round battery and is super easy to access/change (not that we've had to change it yet, but we inspected the remote so we'd know what we'd need to do when the time comes!) In terms of application...it's a no-brainer. You just peel and stick. Done. If you make a mistake, you can reposition (as long as you don't wait too long) and the adhesive won't ruin your television. Of course, these stick to the back, so does it really matter? The picture in the product description doesn't do these justice...I'll just say that. You really can't go wrong on them, so just buy a set (or two) and light up your world.

No issues, they work great so far.

I bought these for my son’s gaming monitor. I didn’t realize there were different sizes until I received them, so I was afraid they would be too big. I believe his monitor is 27” or so. I arranged the lights in 4 separate rows on the back & it worked out fine. They look nice with the lights off which is how he plays. Shipping was fast, everything worked fine, and they were easy to set up. I’ll attach a pic to show how they can be set up on a 27” monitor. We’ve only had them a few days so if they hold up I’ll be ordering another set for my TV.

My wife thinks it looks dumb but she isn't a gamer and doesn't appreciate how ...

LEDs are bright and the colors are very tight, no bleed through. To use the remote you have to be in the line of site where the USB plugs into the strip. It includes 3 spacers that allow you to "bend" the strip around the corners. My wife thinks it looks dumb but she isn't a gamer and doesn't appreciate how important ambiance is to gaming.

Bright, Easy Install, Look Awesome!

This LED strip is awesome! Im quite impresed with its performance! The lights are nice and bright! The strip is divided into 4 pieces that connect with a special connector (included, and with clear instructions). I installed it behind my 40” screen and it looks fantastic! I love the way it makes the mounted TV look. The lights also come with a remote that allows you to change the color of the lights (16 color combinations) and even some light effects like fading through all the colors. There is also a “white” color setting, and like someone else mentioned already, the white tone is very close to blue. Not a dealbreaker for me. You also have brightness control using the controller (pictures shown show one of the lowest brightness settings, just my preference). Overall well worth it! I recommend this!

You have no idea what you're missing until you have the backlight from these LEDs; It changes everything! Movies are just much more enjoyable, annoying white light in rooms can be left turned off but you can see enough still to move around, plus it's just plain cool! The led strips were extremely easy to attach to the back of tv (several months now with no problems) and it uses your TVs usb port. There is an attached remote to turn on/off, change from 12 different colors, or strobe/fade/etc. Great item for the price and I now have these on all my televisions at home!

Awesome Tv backlights!

These are nice tv lights, exactly what I was looking for. Fits nicely around the back of my tv set. I didn't use the light separators that came in the box, that gives you the ability to curve the lights at the corners of the tv, because I noticed it showed gaps in the light in the wall. So I just carefully bent the lights and went around the tv without using the extenders/seperators. I love ❤ that it comes with a remote and so many different colors to choose from. Great thing is, it cuts off when my tv powers off! Or you can also choose to power it separately by connecting it to the wall using a plug. Makes any room fun!

Awesome! Need longer Strip!

I can’t believe I waited this long to buy this thing! We have Movie Nights and this little, easy living space mod really up our Movie Nights! I have a 65” Sony TV, wall mounted, I bought the Led strip for 50”-60” TVs, it looks fine, but I wish I could have bought more and longer strip to placed them near the outer side of the back of the TV for more lights in the side. The Top strip is placed near the outer edge, the light is more pronounced compared to the both sides. The Remote control to change the color of the LEDs are awesome too! Will buy more in the future!

Just what I was looking for!

These LED strips are exactly what I was expecting and are a nice upgrade from my previous LED strips on my tv. I have a 55" and they fit perfectly. Setup was extremely easy and quick and they work beautifully. The remote has great range and the color options are amazing. Makes for a great ambiance for movies or gaming. I was hesitant at first because I saw that these LED strips came in 3 separate sections. However, I found that that makes them even better because you can customize the layout. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

These lights add a touch of class to your tv room/area

These lights take your room to another dimension! Setup was easy, just plug and chug and you’re done. I only bought one pack of the lights for my new 65” 4K TV, and it still looks gorgeous. I basically just put the light around the top and sides of my tv, leaving out the bottom part...and it STILL looks nice. Other info: The lights come on with the tv, and then turn off a few seconds after you turn off the tv. There are options on the remote that allow you to choose one still light, or you can do a strobe effect where they change colors fast, or slow. It’s just a great buy! If you’re on the fence, just get it...you won’t be disappointed. The price seals the deal as well!

I bought this LED light strip to accent our arcade ...

I bought this LED light strip to accent our arcade area in the game room. It came in 3 strips that your daisy chain together. Essentially, plug and play. The remote is IR so you need to point it at the receiver, so take this is account when mounting. I leave the light on cycle and it slowly fade between the colors. Its usb powered and my raspberry pi has no problems keeping it powered. I don't really have any complaints with these lights. I plan to buy another set for our basement TV.
