I like this tuner over the snark
I like this tuner over the snark, especially for begginers, because it shows you which string you are tuning to, when the tuner is set to "G" (G fo guitar). The way this helps is that, if someone is tuning the A string, the display should show the number 5 on the lower left corner (for 5th string from the bottom). Instead of showing G#, G, F#, F if it's too low, or A#, B, C C#, etc, if it's too high, it will simply show that you are too low or too high. Again, something that beginners might struggle with, since their ears are not tuned to what the notes should sound like.

No Roadies, No Problem - Fender tuner makes it easy
The headstock spring clamp is small and low profile but holds very well and the display pivots on two axiis to give good visibility angles on any type of headstock. I have Fender, Gibson, and Schecter guitars and the tuner display is easily adjustable to all of them. The Led display is strongly backlit for minimal lighting conditions such as a club venue, but is still visible in a fully lit area. The display uses high - low indicators for tuning and flashes green when optimum tuning pitch is reached.

Very Impressed
This is a small tuner, but it works. I've tried it out on 12 electric (various head stocks), 3 acoustic electric guitars and 4 and 5 string basses. I've tried it out on a violin and it worked! Easy to read but you have to make sure you tap the button on the right setting. I've hit the button on accident and wondered why I wasn't in tune, so double check the setting before tuning. I haven't tried this out on a banjo or a 12-string yet. The tuner did struggle a bit with the 5 string bass and during live playing it didn't seem to have any issues. The pitch of the tuner is pretty accurate to my Korg Pitch Black Pro! You can do 1/2 step and open tuning. The life of the battery is a bit of a concern but so far so good. The compartment to the battery does take a precision Philips head driver which could be an issue for some. Overall I'm impressed and is another tool to use to keep your instrument in tune. Can it replace your stompbox? That comes down to your personal preference. I cut my volume knob and tune from the FT-004, so tuning in silent is possible. This was mainly for my acoustics, and soon has found it's way into my electrics.

The Best Tuner To Own!
This tuner, to put short, is amazing. It's a little bit smaller than I expected, but that didn't matter, because it did it's job: Helping me tune my Fender FA-100 with ease...Now before I begin, I am still a beginner in learning guitar at the moment. I just ordered and received my Fender FA-100 (Sunburst), and this tuner, so I really don't know how this could compare to other tuners, but, based off my experience with this awesome bad-boy, I think it can compare to even the most expensive tuner's out there, despite my lack of knowledge...now then, Lets begin! Side note: My package got in one day later than the expected delivery date for some reason...no biggie, but I felt like I needed to include that just in case if you don't receive this on the day it claims to be delivered to you... In the package, if you buy it new, you receive a tiny little box with the Fender logo on it. Inside the package includes: One battery for the tuner, the tuner itself, and an instruction manual...so pretty much the basic stuff in a standard package but has everything you need to start tuning your guitar right away. The tuner itself looks really cool. It is mostly plastic, with an LED screen and a back-light when you turn it on. But it looks so freaking cool compared to most tuners! My cousin thought it was a video game attachment at first! Also, it's very adjustable by allowing you to move the tune in numerous ways due to the clip-on being movable. This means you can adjust the way you see the tuner on many guitars which is a huge plus! So brownie points for being cheap, yet attractive. How it works: You put the tuner at the top of your guitar by clipping it on. Next, you strum the selected string you wish to choose. The goal is to get the arrow in the middle of the screen, and you will know you completed this goal and tuned it perfectly if the screen turns bright green. So if it's green, you're good, if it's not, just keep trying. I'm not gonna lie, tuning my guitar was a bit tiresome as it seemed like forever (Approximately 20-30 minutes), but all that hard work paid off certainly... And lastly: It did it's job perfect. When my Fender FA first got in and I strummed it and tried tuning it on my own at first, well, it sounded not too good and I was worried that I just wasted my hard-earned cash on a guitar...well, once the Tuner came in and I tested it out, my guitar sounded AMAZING! I'm so happy that I found this tuner because it's amazing, and for the price compared to most, I think this is the best way to go. I paid only 16 bucks for mine including shipping and handling, and I do NOT regret this purchase one bit. This tuner will work on any guitar, both Acoustic or Electric. This tuner is made with quality, believe me, so don't let it's surprisingly "Too good to be true" cheap price deceive you. This tuner is affordable, does its job right, and looks great! So get this tuner today! You won't regret it.

Works great, even on my bass
I've been a fan of the snark tuners for a while but they just didn't work well on my bass (even though they say they will). So I sought out a cheap alternative and came by this one. There's not a lot to say, it works great, it does absolutely what it's supposed to do and it's cheap. Recommend!

Works great, and battery EASY to change! ;-)
Great tuner. Easy to learn and use. Writing mainly because a previous reviewer commented on how difficult it was to change the battery. Extremely small screw, etc. I wonder if this might have been the case at one time? The battery compartment opens with a 1/4 turn of a coin making replacement of the CR2032 battery as easy as can be. I have found free tuner aps for my smart phone that do more, but results are comparable with either and this handly little device is great. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend to other.

Great tuner at a great price!
I ordered this digital tuner for my guitar and was able to use it with ease immediately upon arrival. It functioned well, and did a good job of getting my guitar in tune. It is very easy to use; only one button controls everything. You press once to turn the tuner on, and again to turn it off. The tuner will also turn off automatically after a short time to conserve the battery. The same button allows you to switch between instruments, which are displayed by a "G", "U", "B", etc on the screen. There is a brief delay from the time that you strum the string to the detection of the note on the screen, but it is less than one second, and I synced up with this after the first use. The tuner clips on easily, and can be spun to any position for ease of use and storage. I am very happy with this product. It functions well, is easy to use, and had a great price. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, basic digital tuner.

Very happy with this tuner
I didn't shop around to see what else is available in tuners, but I love this one and it's all I wanted. It easily clips onto the headstock of my guitars and is easy to use. It lights up bright green when the string is tuned, so it's fast and easy. It works with my electric guitar (Am. Standard Strat) without amplification -- it senses the string vibration through the guitar body. I had a much smaller clip-on tuner like this, which I liked because it wasn't visible except to me, but it died after a year. This item is larger and visible, but it seems better made. The plastic battery tray is a little wonky and I was afraid I would break it when putting in the battery, but I didn't. The screen can be swiveled in multiple directions to make it viewable from many locations. It's so nice to always be in tune and not have to struggle to get there.

Best tuner
I prefer the Fender tuner because I can see clearly when tuned. It doesn't seem to waiver, so you have to keep doing it. It is very simple and doesn't have all those lines. I like it alot and bought 3.

Great little clip on tuner.
Tuner is accurate, the fact that it flashes to green when you are in tune is a nice touch. I have used this tuner on guitar, violin and cello. Works equally well for each instrument.
