An essential

I'm a knitter and I love working with hand dyed yarns, and this lens helps me appreciate them even more. I love how easy it is to use this lens and how well it focuses. The first picture of the blue yarn is using the lens and the second picture is cropped to just the circled part. You can see every little fiber. It's like using a microscope! Amazing.

Banger quality

The moment stuff is as always high quality, comes in a sweet package and looks just great on my iphone. This will be a great season to me. These are my first cellphone lenses. I‘m a photographer and I do highly recommend those lenses. To me, lens quality and picture quality goes hand in hand. Cellphone or mirrorless it doesn‘t matter. You will see it.

Great lens for unique shots but not without it's challenges.

I love that I can get super close up shots now with my pixel 3. This lens allows me to capture the tiniest details and sometimes see things I didn't realize were there until after the shot. The focal plane of this lens is really thin so expect to take multiple shots to ensure you get the best one if you're shooting handheld. Not only do shaky hands make for a challenging shot, other factors like wind and moving insects add to the challenge as well if you're shooting outdoors. The diffuser hood is great for getting just the right distance for certain shots but other times it gets in the way and needs to be removed to get the lens where you need. Overall I love this lens and being able to get a new perspective on things rarely noticed without it. I recommend this lens for those looking to do the same.

So much fun

This lens is great. The build quality is fantastic and the images are sharp. I haven't had the pleasure of taking it outside yet so I attached a few quick indoor macros I took using this lens and my Pixel 3. It may be a highly situational lens, but it is a ton of fun to use. Highly recommend this and all of Moment's lenses. Just a reminder in case you're unaware, you need one of their cases to mount their lenses to your phone. They do not clip on or attach any other way.

Limited use, but great quality

Does it really well for the one thing it does, photographing still objects at ultra close up. I’m not quite sure how else this lens can be useful. It has a preset/fixed depth of focus, you have to get very close, within half & inch, to the object, otherwise its blurry. So, other than taking pic of surface texture or tiny things, its not very useful. I wanted to take shots of insects, but by the time you get that close, they’d hop off. You literally have to hover over & cover the object with the white bowl.

I love my macro!

This was my first moment lens. I originally wanted to buy the wide first, but I am content with having this macro lens for now. The construction of the lens is sturdy and has a good weight to it. I love Moment! A few of my friends were questioning why I would pay so much for an iphone lens, but it is so worth it. I feel much more comfortable spending real money on something I know is going to work and be top notch, than continuing to spend my money trying a lot of products, trying to find the best one.

Neat little macro lens

Overall very satisfied with the macro lens. I bought them for trips where I can’t bring my DSLR and just have my phone with me. These lenses are very light and portable, which makes them ideal if I’m traveling light. It is very easy to put on a lens or switch it out for another. A couple of things to note: Phone case required: as pointed out in other reviews this does require a special Moment phone case (sold separately). I know some of the other brands offer clip-on, but the ability to securely fasten the lenses onto my phone without having to worry about it falling or needing to adjust the position was actually a selling point for me. I’ve tried the clip one and always had trouble with vignetting (or poor positioning) and constantly needing to adjust. Also, the case itself is quite nice in its own right. Lens caps: These lenses come with one main lens cap and then a microfiber storage bag labeled with the lens name (which is handy if you have more than one); however, this does not have a cap second side, and I would really like to have a second lens cap. Macro focus distance: In order take in focus pictures with this lens, I have to be insanely close to the subject (to where the white plastic rim is practically touching it), which makes it a little awkward when trying to photograph certain subjects. This is actually my biggest complaint about the macro lens, but overall I am still very satisfied.

Fun To Tinker With. Quality Feel.

Really cool little item. Not something I mess with every day but its on my desk and it's super simple to attach to my iPhone 7 with the Moment case I got, too. The fit & finish of the lens are superb. I like that the translucent lens hood can be removed and it comes with a little storage bag. Nice touches. It also comes with a little lens cap. Mine pops off too easily, though. The photos I've taken so far are clear and sharp, though there is some peripheral blur as the depth of field with macro lenses is short. Might get the Moment telephoto next.

Totally transformed my wife's iPhone photography!

This lens is amazing! I purchased it as a gift for my wife along with the tele and wide lenses and she's been having so much fun with all three of them. She's recently gotten super interested in nature photography with her iPhone 7 but was getting increasingly frustrated by the limitations of the standard lens. She's taken some beautiful shots with all three lenses but I think the macro ones are my favorites. I've attached a recent shot of a little jumping spider, along with a non-macro shot showing just how tiny the spider was.
