I received my MaxiMatic EPC-808BL Elite Platinum Digital Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker quickly and I had to try it out right away. I made some barbecue turkey wings in my pot that turned out quite wonderful. A quick review of the manual indicated the setting (Poultry) and I added an extra 15 minutes (perfect). Some seasonings, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of barbecue sauce, some cayenne pepper, a table spoon of dry chicken seasoning, ½ table spoon of salt, and 2 table spoons of chopped garlic (Yummy). I also washed and placed 4 medium size russet potatoes in the pot. I closed it and set it. In 40 minutes I had perfect barbecue. I could not believe it. The nonstick pan was easy to clean up. Caution, once the timer goes off, the pot is still full of pressure. I bled the steam off by turning the valve on and off for about 2 minutes. Then I left the valve open to release the rest of the pressure. Once all the steam released, I was able to get to my wonderful barbecue turkey wings. The internal pot is a nice size, wonderful for a large family, but you can also cook small amounts just as easily. I can’t wait to try out some of the great looking recipes in the book that came with the pot. The outside is made of very hard, durable plastic, beneficial for light weight and surfaces that is not scorching hot while cooking. You must try this MaxiMatic EPC-808BL Elite Platinum Digital Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker if you like easy, fast, and efficient cooking. For real!!!

I have been an avid electric pressure owner for years (own a 6,8 and a 12qt). This year I bought this one for a friend for Christmas. She loves it and this was her first exposure to pressure cooking. She made a pork loin and was blown away by how easy it was to do and the flow knocked her off her feet. 8qts and plenty of presets, you can't go wrong. If you are new to pressure cooking this is a great size to start with (especially if you have a large family), but don't despair - you don't have to cook large quantities, but it is nice to have that capability when you do. Non-stick inner pot makes cleaning a breeze.

The first time I used this, I was afraid. But after reading about the safety features these have, I feel confident in this product. You CANNOT get the lid off if there is still pressure in it. It fits under the cabinet while cooking and looks nice on the counter as well. I probably use this about 4 times per week. I love how easy and quick it cooks food! I am still learning the correct times to cook things...usually cooking items longer than needed because it doesn't seem possible to cook chicken breast from frozen in 15 minutes. I love doing hard boiled eggs in this. The shells come off so easily. I will never again boil the eggs on the stove. 3 Minutes is all it takes! The cons on this model is that it does not come with a metal tray or anything to put inside it but after watching some youtube videos you can crumple up foil and use that. so many ideas...go to youtube..you can make anything in this thing! I will also be buying a smaller one because this is the 8 quart and although I have a family of 4, sometimes it is just two of us, so it would be nice to have a smaller one on hand..

This is a wonderful addition to my other cooking gadgets. I love the Reheat program. I can put in soups that I have made up and froze and it is nice and hot in 20 minutes and tastes oh so good. I love the size and the pressure cooking as it cuts my cooking time almost in half. I can set it and not worry about the pressure raising to high. This is a replacement for a 8 quart roaster that I had for over 15 years. I was unable to find another one like what had, so when I found this and it was also a pressure cooker, I had my doubts. I never really thought I would find a replacement that I would like as much. Then one day as I was looking in MY Amazon, I found this, So I thought, what have I got to loose, if it does not work for you, you can always send it back....Well after the first time I used it, I knew I would not be sending it back. Thanks again Amazon for another wonderful product.

This is the best appliance I think I have ever purchased. Sounds a little dramatic to say a pressure cooker changed my life - but a pressure cooker changed my life! I actually bought this one as a gift after getting the same one for myself a few years ago. Several friends have even purchased their own (same brand) after coming to my house for dinner and experiencing the magic. It is my favorite thing to cook with. Everything is delicious because the flavors meld together. It cooks in a fraction of the time of other methods. I used to love my crock pot but I haven't used it since I got my pressure cooker. I make all the same things I used to make in the crock pot and they are faster and easier and BETTER than they ever used to be. I make so much more in this, too. It may seem intimidating at first, but it really is easy once you get the hang of it - which for me, was pretty much the first time or two I used it. This machine does so much. I haven't used other brands but I have joined online communities for recipe sharing for other brands and have adapted the recipes that were shared with instructions for using different brand machines without difficulty. I seriously cannot recommend this enough! (Not paid for this review. Did not receive free or promotional products)

Wife has been wanting a pressure cooker for awhile. After talking with friends and our daughter, she had me order this one. She's very pleased with the pot, and has made several dishes so far. The best one was short ribs; she makes short ribs in the oven, but this pot has cut time way down as well as less dishes. She says pot is very easy to use and clean, set up instructions very easy as well. She's very pleased with her purchase and would buy again. She is telling all her friends about it.

First time using a pressure cooker and I am amazed. Spare Ribs, Pot Roast cooks soooo quickly and very tender. The carrots had the most taste as the flavors really are preserved with this cooking method. The electronics is setup much like a microwave so if you are cooking rice, just use the rice setting and the rest is automated. Once the cooking is completed it goes to a warming mode which is great. The interior pot is non stick so cleaning is very easy. If you search the internet for pressure cooker recipes you find many to choose from and so far all have turned out delicious. I highly recommend this product.

Looove this pressure cooker! Orange color is very modern and fits my white and orange kitchen well. Works fast! Make a frozen meal in less than an hour, could absolutely take the place of your crock pot. Meat, especially chicken, is SO tender and flavorful. I've used this several times a week since its purchase and never had any issues, always making delicious food.

This was my first experience with a pressure cooker and I was trying to decide between this and the Instant Pot. I went with the Elite Platinum and have been using it 10 months now with no issues. I don't have the model with the "Brown" function but I just turn it on and use it to brown my meats before actually closing the lid to cook it and it seems to work great. I have cooked several things in this including a cheesecake, and everything has turned out great. I would highly recommend this model; I did purchase the stainless pot to go with it. I do wish it came with the inserts but I just bought them separate.

This 8 qt electric pressure cooker is amazing. After reading the instruction manual, and seasoning the cooker as instructed, I prepared carrots for a Carrot Ginger spread and 8 cups of a brown/wild rice medley. Both cooked perfectly, especially the rice. Beans are next, now that I am confidently using this wonderful cooker. (I had a rocker stove top pressure cooker blow the rocker to the ceiling and propel bean juice out of the top, clear to the ceiling. What a mess that was!). I like the large size for preparing in bulk plant based foods. I like the easy of programming it and setting the cooking time according to recipes from cookbooks like Vegan Under Pressure. A whole new world has opened up to me.
