Great EDC work tool.

This is a great Every Day Carry for work tool. It’s not too big/bulky (in my work shirt pocket) works great for what I need. I purchased the IR temp and voltage detector version. I’m a building engineer, so carrying this around with me at all times helps. It’s temperature reading is accurate and comparable to the fluke 62 temp gun at closer ranges (1 inch - 8 feet) measuring surface temps of motors, hydrolic lines, HVAC supply and return air, etc. A great added feature I like is the laser. It helps with identifying specific sections/area for temp readings as well I use it as a laser pointer to identify far out of reach areas/equipment/etc. the price is good, shipping/delivery was ok, and it’s a good quality tool.

The NCVT-4IR voltage tester does a great job at multi-tasking and providing me with valuable troubleshooting information. The IR reader matches well with our handheld fluke one and the voltage tester provide a clear visual and audible indication of power. The backlit LCD display also works well in low light conditions. If there was a way to add a flashlight like the NCVT-3 this would be a nearly perfect companion to an electrician or maintenance worker.

Another quality Klein Tool.

Seems to be a great product so far,. The diameters a little big around but fits okay in my front left pocket of my shirt. The infrared is off by about a degree or two but not too uncommon for a cheap tool that does as much as it does. It does detect high and low voltage and shows appropriate speed of beep to distinguish.

This one's a winner!

This little gem is perfect for just about any trade work where you need voltage sensing and spot temp readings. About half the size of my old IR laser temp "gun" and from what I've seen so far, much more accurate. This one's a winner!

Highly recommended

Fantastic tool. Every service tech in the HVAC industry should consider this product. It is not much larger than a standard volt stick and it also gives you temperature. I now know if a motor is hot and if it is "hot".

Cool tool

Get extra batteries because you will discover the surface temperature of everything from your wife's boobs to anything near the couch on weekends. Voltage tester is awesome because it reads 12v ac. Huge help in irrigation 24v systems. To my knowledge it reads lower ranges than competitors making it valuable in my industry.

Great tester, compact, convenient

Great tester so far, picks up very low voltages up to higher ones well. The ir thermometer is very handy for testing hvac equipmemt as well as panels. Fits in your pocket and uses standard aaa batteries.

Great!

The infrared thermometer is all I use. Fits great in my pocket. I checked the calibration and it is within the same tolerances as any other high dollar IR. +/- 1 degree. reading was the same as my Fluke. Volt sensor works but I never trust those.

The best of its kind

Can not truly measure air temperature. But it is as good as any infared meter ive ever used. I find it very useful for measuring surface temperature of motors and it helps to know if there is colder air vs normal air. However you can not get an accurate reading. The only way to accurately measure air temperarure is a meat thermometer. It measures surface temperarure pretty accurately however. I trust it for checking if a motor is over heating. Its not the best method but its easy and reliable enough for me. This tool is very small and the dual purpose tick tracer is incredably convenient!!!

Detects electric and measures temperature

Just buy this, don't waste your time researching other brands or models this works great, detects live voltage instantly from 12 volts to 1000 volts AND this baby measures temperature as well which we use in air conditioning
