We have over twenty mismatched knives. I am THRILLED with how well this knife block accommodated all of our knives, and that I'm able to immediately find my small/paring knives when I need them! I was worried about it being an eyesore on our counter because every knife is different, but I'm pleased with how it looks! As you add or remove knives from the block, I was worried about knives shifting or the bristles being too tight to add knives. No issues with adding or removing knives! The bristles come out of the block easily, and a quick brush with your fingers clears the bristles of any crumbs or debris. We don't have a ton of drawer space in our kitchen so I'm considering getting a second block for our honing steel and a few other specialty knives. I love storage gadgets and this one really excites me! I would recommend this knife block again and again!

Liked it so much, I bought a second one!

Love how easy this is to safely store our knives! No more rattling around in a drawer or hanging out on a magnet to impale an unwary hand! Plus, it's dishwasher safe. I bought one to see how it would work for us, and 3 days later ordered a second one for us plus a third for a gift! Now we have all our serrated knives in one, and our straight-edged knives in the other, plus our several pairs of kitchen scissors are now also easy to grab and go, thanks to the front "step" area. These are great and they look good, too.

Easy to love

We love using this knife block. It's easy to grab a knife and most importantly, to put it back. Small footprint. Heavily weighted so it stays put. Beautiful bamboo that is easy to wipe clean. Can't wait to see what it's like to pop the rods into the dishwasher. Cleaning that part of the knife block is essential. I could never do that with the slotted wooded knife block. So far no regrets about this purchase.

Great Value for a Quality Knife Holder - Sustainable

I really like the sustainability of Bamboo for kitchen items! Easily holds 6 knives in the main area. Note that my long bread knife sticks up about an inch or so. I use the smaller knife area for my daily place setting knives. Due to the way it is constructed, I would NEVER put a dirty knife into the holder. I purchased two other square bamboo holders for my spoons and forks to fit in for I don't have much drawer space in my kitchen. Works great! Highly Recommended!

Perfect knife block!

Love this knife block. We have several knives that dont fit into a regular knife block. Before this we had two regular knife blocks to hold our knives and they still fit awkwardly. Now we can fit all our knives in one block easily plus it freed up some counter space. The little stick things come out easily to wash if it starts getting funky. But we are always sure to put the knives back completely dry to avoid molding.

Perfect for variety

Don’t listen to the people who say “it retains moisture”. Dry your stuff before you put it away, it’s that simple. I don’t put away wet plates or glasses so why would you put away a wet knife and expect it to become dry? It’s a knife holder not a knife dryer. Anyway, I got this for a gift and my sister has been living it. She said it was exactly what she was looking for. You can get a few nice knifes and fit them in here and not spend $100 of a block set of 10 cheap ones that can’t be interchanged.

Holds more than you think!

I was afraid all my knives wouldn't fit in here but it has more room than you think because you are not restricted by slots found in regular knife blocks. I was happy to get rid of my conventional knife block. I fit 6 steak knives in the small area in front and 6 large knives of various sizes in the back along with my kitchen sheers. It's a great product!

Brilliant idea!

I bought a set of beautiful knives with colors and patterns on them from CuisinArt (Cuisinart C55-12PR2 Advantage 12-pc. Printed Color Cutlery Set, Multicolored) but they did not come with a knife block. I love these knives! Nice and sharp. And beautiful, so I did not want to put them away. I have a knife block with several black handled knives (yawn) already, so for a while, I put the CuisinArt knives in that block and put the black ones away, but not all of them fit with each corresponding knife slot. So, I saw this and thought, perfect! I don’t have to worry if they’ll fit. And they do! Anything would, within reason. I also put a set of shears in there too. My original knife block didn’t come with sheers. So all in all, an excellent purchase.

So far I like this knife block. I have not cleaned it yet but I think it will be easy. Held all my new knives (7 large to small) plus kitchen scissors and I still have room for more. It arrived very quickly. Very nice and sleek looking. Good purchase.

Beautiful & Functional

I had planned on making my own knife block using exotic woods and it ended up being a dream that never came to pass. I needed a knife block big enough to hold ALL my knives and the ones I plan to acquire in the future. I was tired of digging through a drawer and pulling the sleeves off the blade to see which knife it was. I only use RADA cutlery knifes and this block is PERFECT! I use the smaller front section for all my paring knives (I use them the most) then I have to steak knives lined across the front of the larger section and all my bigger specialty knives behind them. I had one knife that I can’t keep in the block because I don’t have enough clearance to get the handle under my cupboard. But I have low custom cupboards. If I outgrow this block I will definitely buy another!
