This is the softest, most comfortable wrist brace I have tried on. I just received it, so I have not yet had an opportunity to test it out, but compared to other braces I have tried, all of which were miserable and seemed to exacerbate my condition, this brace is the most promising. I'm impressed with the design. I design custom corsets for a living, so I pay attention to how corrective garments are engineered and fabricated. The fabric is soft, and the stiff metal stay is well-protected and padded with a pocket filled with small beads that form a cushion around my wrist and palm. It's easy to put on, even though both of my hands are compromised. The velcro is strong and soft, with rounded edges, so there are no scratchy parts, however it can snag sweaters if i'm not careful. The binding is soft and nicely sewn. There are little air holes for ventilation, and the fabric seems breathable. I hate synthetic fabrics against my skin, but this feels more like a natural fiber, even though it's synthetic. Many wrist braces open completely, so you have to spread them open on a table, then put your arm in, and fumble to close and adjust the straps. This brace has a soft, stretchy inner sheath for your wrist, so you can slide your arm in, then close the velcro, without having to stabilize the brace against your body or a table to keep it in place while you close it. It doesn't flap open and fall off when I need to adjust the tightness. The curved, metal stay inside is removable for easy washing, and the pocket/bone channel is fully padded. The main fabrics are soft neoprene and a soft micro terry/flannel which adds more padding and comfort. It seems like this would be easy to clean and care for. I like that the whole brace is soft and padded so I can rest m arm on my chest and not feel the metal stay on my wrist or chest. I want a second brace for my left hand. I can tell a lot of thought went into making this wrist brace comfortable, ergonomic, and usable for either the right or left hand. I think it's a great value. I have been wearing it all day and feel some pain relief. Update. I have been wearing my brace on and off for over a week and I am delighted. I am very happy with the product and company. The brace came with an insert that says they will send you a free brace when you submit a review on their web site. Unfortunately, that offer is only for people who buy their brace from the comfy brace web site. I didn't know that when I submitted my honest review. I noticed the fine print after I went back to the site to edit my review because I had more positive things to say about it. I wrote to them and asked if they would please send me a free brace anyway because I need one for each hand and can't afford a second one right now. The owner wrote back, saying that I seemed like a nice person, so he will send me a free brace. :) I received the brace in the mail today, just two days after I got the email. Considering the first brace was under $25, which I already consider a great value, I am amazed that they would give me a free second brace. They must be taking a loss. They have earned my loyalty. I only have one minor complaint about the brace, which is something that doesn't bother me but it may bother you, and that is that some of the black dye from the brace has rubbed off onto my forearm at the pop edge. That would likely be remedied by washing the brace, which I have not done yet. That said, another plus is that because it has a soft, stretch inner sheath, I can just slide the brace up my small arm when I want to wash my hands. I don't have to remove it. I have been sleeping with the brace on, and I don't even notice it. I wake up without pain in my hand, thanks to the comfybrace. It's the best.

This is the first brace I’ve tried. My carpel tunnel symptoms include: tingling, numbness, soreness. Before I started wearing this brace at night while I sleep, I would wake up from the tingling. This brace has completely eliminated that. I had no problem getting used to sleeping in it, it’s very comfortable. The material is breathable yet durable and straps are easily adjustable, even in the dark. The beads on the inside are so awesome because they mold to my palm and cradle my hand and wrist perfectly. I highly recommend this brace!

I had a torn ligament in my wrist. Before diagnosed, I ordered this brace to try and ease some of the pain. It did wonders, being very adjustable with a solid frame. However, I ended up being in it 4 months before my surgery... and as comfortable as it was, I wore through the velcro and bought another. The first lasted me 3 and a half months. It is no fault of the manufacturer or product, and the owner of the company is very kind. For carpal tunnel and support, this makes for a very comfortable and supportive brace. And, it did amazing for assisting with a torn ligament for 4 months!! I can't recommend it enough. Thank you again, David!!

In the past year or so, I've started twisting one hand and wrist under my head as I sleep, which results in hand swelling and pain when I wake up. My doctor suggested wearing a brace to discourage me from twisting my wrist as I sleep. Well! Easier said than done! I tried two or three braces before this one. One was okay to wear but barely provided any support and did not prevent the twist. Another gave firmer support but was so uncomfortable that I removed in in my sleep (yeah, lifelong sleepwalker here). So then I tried the Comfy Brace. I was a little dubious since it does not come in a right or left hand version, the brace will fit either hand which I thought might mean it would not fit well. I was sooo wrong. Wowza, it works a charm! The three straps provide a more customisable fit so it can be firm enough to discourage the twist but still comfortable enough that I leave it on in my sleep. The cushion full of beads is brilliant--I put it on, wiggle my fingers once or twice, the beads shift into position and I honestly can't feel the metal support (part of the problem with the uncomfortable brace was that the end of the metal support tended to dig into my palm). It has definitely helped my wrist and hand without being uncomfortable at all. It fits like it was made specifically for my hand. Either hand! I've only used it for a couple months, so I don't know yet how it will last (still feels like new). If I ever wear it out, I'll buy another. No more experimenting, this is definitely the perfect design for me.

I am an RN and have severe issues with carpel tunnel for a very long time that wakes me up frequently from sleep and causes pain when trying to lift or crochet. In fact many nights, the pain is unbearable with numbness in my fingers and stabbing burning elbow and wrist pain. I have tried many braces before and while some have helped, most have been too uncomfortable to wear at night so I have not been consistent in using them. I was hesitant to buy another one, but after reading the reviews, I thought I would give this one a try. The first time I put it on I knew it was different with the padding and overall comfort. One of my biggest issues was most other braces felt very warm and making my arm feel clammy and hot, and being from South Texas, I don't want anything making me feel warmer than we already are. I slept all night that first night and most other nights since using it. While I know a brace wont eliminate the problem completely, I recommend this brace for anyone dealing with this painful and annoying issue especially during flare ups of the condition and symptoms. I am getting another just to have for travel as I am very impressed with this product. Whoever created this must have had the issue of carpal tunnel and been frustrated with the current braces on the market and fixed them!! Bravo to you!!

EDIT: Here are the steps this company took to address my issue: 1) Refund my money 2) Sent me a second brace from the same batch with a similar problem but not as bad 3) A couple months later sent me *two* new braces from an improved line without this problem. I now have four wrist braces I paid nothing for and, alas, only two wrists. These folks clearly are thirsty for the five stars and I guess they've earned it in this case. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really want to like this brace. It's well constructed and the cushioned part is cozy. I'd give four or five stars if not for a simple problem. My problem is the slit on the bottom of the wrist where the metal stay can be removed. They cleverly cushion you from the stay with foam, but that foam is split open so wide at the wrist that I feel cold metal directly on my skin when I wear the brace. I get used to it after a while but it's uncomfortable for the first fifteen minutes or so and seems entirely unnecessary. I get that a slit is there to remove the metal but it could have been designed with a flap that would close up better. Maybe this is just my issue and my unit was missed in quality control, but it's definitely misses my expectations for a more expensive wrist brace to have skin contacting metal.

Updated - 7/9/18 In my previous review, I’d given three stars and noted a small problem with the brace. Usually I expect the online buying experience to end there. So I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email recently from the owner of ComfyBrace, telling me they’d redesigned based on the feedback and wanted to offer a new replacement. Shopping on Amazon can be pretty impersonal, so it’s refreshing to find that there’s still companies out there that take the time to listen to their customers. The cushion on the new brace I received feels super comfortable yet very supportive. I wore it for a few hours after coming home from work, and it’s really helped relieve the tension and stiffness in the wrist. ... I use a computer all day for work, and recently my wrist had been feeling achy and stiff. I’d do stretches, but it didn’t seem to help. At night, my whole forearm would feel painfully numb. This would wake me up 2-3 times a night and I’d have to move my arm around until it subsided. The first night I used the brace though, I was able to sleep through the night. In the morning my wrist felt like it was almost back to normal. The difference has really amazed me! I really appreciate that you can use it on either hand, and it’s quite comfortable to wear. It’s a little too bulky for me to wear while working (cause I can’t grip the mouse well enough with it on) but just using it at night seems to really help alleviate the wrist strain.

I suffered for many years from a severe case of carpel tunnel syndrome. It probably all began because I work for a commercial designing company, and I spend about 8-10 hours a day doing 3D rendering on the computer, which entails a lot of using the keypad and mouse. I used to wake up in the middle of the night with tingling in my hands and sometimes with severe pain. I spent many restless nights twisting and turning in bed. I was advised by my Dr. to try wearing a night brace, and desperate to find a solution to the endless pain I stopped into my local pharmacy to pick up a handbrace from a big brand. I wore it for a few weeks and didn't see any difference, the pain at night was still severe and sleeping at night was almost a thing of the past. Nothing was working until I bought this comfybrace. After using this brace for one night I realized this was really making a big difference. I right away saw major improvement. After months of not being able to sleep at night I started getting a couple of hours of shut eye in a row!! This was a major breakthrough for me. Now that i'm wearing it for two weeks, night pain is a thing of the past. I thought surgery was my only solution, but maybe this is an easier solution!!! This comfybrace is made of durable material which makes it very soft yet sturdy and therefore my hands weren't sweaty from it. Another thing which was very important to me was the super soft and comfortable cushioning beads by the palm. The beads are soft enough that they got molded to the shape of my hand and hold my hand perfectly in that position. My hands are pretty average size for a man, and this glove fits me perfectly!! This brace is really adjustable so it would probably fit most hand sizes, including pretty slim hands and husky ones too. This brace is also made of very high quality materials and is stitched together very strongly. I can see that this will really last me a while. You can also see the picture I have attached showing the high quality stitching. I highly recommend this brace, and it's definitely worth the money. It's not worth wasting nights when there is such an easy and affordable solution available. Thank you so much Comfy Brace!!!

My symptoms are undiagnosed, but I'm pretty certain that I have carpal tunnel. I've been experiencing numbness and tingling in my hands, fingers, and arms, and the symptoms are especially worse at night. This brace has made a huge difference. It's so soft and comfortable! The additional bean bag feature is soft and molds the shape of my hand, and I don't even notice I have the brace on when I sleep. From wearing this brace, I have minimal pain during the day. I highly recommend this Comfy Brace for anyone who is struggling with carpal tunnel like me.

This is THE BEST wrist brace I’ve ever purchased, out of a dozen I’ve acquired over the years. The others were all purchased from doctors, health supply retailers and drug stores. This is the first such purchase I’ve made via Amazon. I was unsure about ordering something I could not first see, feel, and try on. But past night-support wrist braces had been unsuccessful—poorly designed, with either no support or rigidly uncomfortable structure. A brace only helps (with arthritis and carpal tunnel pain) if one regularly WEARS it. The typical wrap-style model I’ve tried before was so awkward and restrictive, with such a rigid metal palm brace (to prevent curling or flexing the wrist joint during sleep), that I loathed putting it on at night, then could not wait to pull it off every morning. Eventually I found I just couldn’t bear to wrap it on in the first place at bedtime. Each bad or uncomfortable model was then shut in a drawer with the other failures. But the “ComfyBrace” Night Wrist Sleep Support Brace is entirely different. First, it is very well designed to accommodate either the right or left hand, with side thumb slits for easy switching. Second, it’s well made with strong, flexible knit black fabric, constructed like a fabric sleeve, secured with three strategically placed Velcro tabs. Instead of having to reassemble an open wrap into a glove, with the ComfyBrace, you slide either hand into the sleeve, slip your thumb through its side slit, and position your palm so it curves slightly over the palm cushion inside. The allows the hand to wrap and relax around the soft, insulated brace inside. Your hand will comfortably around this cushion, while the brace does its job. With your free hand, you can easily pull and attach the three flexible Velcro tabs; this custom-fits the wrist-brace into a therapeutic glove. It’s so easy to put in place, and so comfortable that it protects your sleep. Well crafted and carefully sewn to last. So now I know those other wrist supports were trial and error. At last I’ve found the right one and experience had taught me how to recognize and evaluate it. This is the best and the last style of wrist brace I’ll ever need. I highly recommend it on every criterion that matters to me: sturdy engineering, therapeutic design, careful & detailed assembly and fabrication; easy fastening; comfort and adaptability for wearing all night. And it has really made a noticeable difference already, as I experience less pain and stiffness, less weakness, better tone—and ftsnkly. a better attitude about having to make small changes that gradually replace painful positions with better movement over time.
