Perfect!
I don't use that with a mug but with 50oz tea pots (see photo) THE BOTTOM MUST BE PERFECTLY FLAT indeed. It does keep my tea in these huge pots warm for the entire day! Wonderful.

I really like my new COSORI Coffee Mug Warmer
I really like my new COSORI Coffee Mug Warmer. I have tried several Mug Warmers through the years and this one is the best I have found. I set my Cosori on 180.0 F and it keeps the coffee warm. It does not keep it as hot as a fresh cup of hot coffee from the brewer, but it keeps it warm enough so I can finish my cup of coffee without it becoming cold. It is nice while working on my computer so that I can have warm coffee to the last drop. Especially if I don't have time to run refill to get more fresh hot coffee.

Just what I always needed!
Absolutely love it! I always used to suffer from room temperature drinks and cold coffee as I would get distracted by other tasks, but no longer! This has been the best thing I have bought in a long time, and I would recommend it to anyone. You can set the heat setting, turn it on and off as well as unplug if you want to, it's not large so it can easily fit on a side table, and the buttons all work with gentle touch. I enjoy my hot coffee throughout my morning work everyday now without having to get up and reheat it in the microwave.

it works great! :) must use flat bottom mug...
this product is just great! easy to use. automatically keeps the temp i set. coffee stays just how i like it, steaming hot, sippable. i start with hot coffee (microwaved or coffee maker), put it on the warmer, turn on the warmer. it remembers my temp setting and sets off towards heating. though it takes a couple min to heat up, my coffee stays steaming hot. i just ordered a second warmer. mug must be flat bottom. none in my house are, so i bought the cosori two-pack of mugs. that's a must. they're steel, which is safe, gets hot, and can't microwave. about two cups volume, 16 oz, half-liter to tip top. i fill it about 1.5cups or 12 oz. , 3/4 full. small glass teapot works great, too. i use the lid. just a lid would help somewhat. reading reviews of similar products all the major complaints do NOT apply here; e.g., it can heat up my coffee from room temp, just takes a while, not my recommended use, but works; my coffee doesn't cool down over time; etc. a suggested feature to add: timeout, to shut it down if i walk away and forget about it. i use an electrical countdown timer where i plug it in, links below. one review here claimed that it took 15min to warm up, got too hot to the touch. she's setting it to 230, the listed max. that's her problem. it's too high for drinkable coffee, almost boiling, unsafe. also, in general, i'd suggest not using any product all the way to its extreme limit. they generally don't do well. i tried some crude temp measurements. most of you can ignore this and just use the display. using my instant-read food thermometer, when set to 184 F , i measure the surface of the warmer about 164 and the temp of the coffee (which matches the temp of the steel) about 154. the thermometer has a thin tube probe, good for piercing a roast, but doesn't get a lot of contact with the warmer's surface, so doesn't get the full heat flow and hence probably reads low and slowly so. the thermometer should be fine for the coffee. the fact that it's lower than the warmer surface is a natural result of heat transfer. so i set mine to 184 and think of it as 184 'cause that's easier than measuring it. as long as i get the heat i want, i'm happy. fyi, links: thermometer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073L4R283/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 countdown timers for safety: one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KKOJ42U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 two: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D3QEK4E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Best looking, best performing warmer you will ever find!
Finding a higher power mug warmer is hard enough, most are 17 watts or less, but finding one of this quality can't be done. Yes, it's more money than most warmers, but you can feel and see the quality. And being a typical guy, I just love the "dashboard". They are very specific to tell you what to expect, depending on your TYPE of cup, and this is true of course. But you can improve the "flatness" and contact area of any cup, even ceramic, by sanding or filing just a little on the bottom to make it extra smooth for a better contact (yes, it's a guy thing not to leave anything alone) My wife thought the appearance was also impressive, so I will be allowed to leave it out!

Excellent warmer!
This is the best coffee warmer I've ever owned - and I've had many over the years. It's not real obvious in the photo, but there is a little steam rising off of the coffee, so it's a very good warmer. I often get a cup of coffee, and then take a phone call or walk away from my desk for whatever reason, and then return to finish my coffee and find it has cooled - but this warmer does a very good job. The finish and build quality is excellent as well. Another minor item is that my previous warmer, which was only an 18 watt warmer, would heat my desk so much that the finish marred, but this one is still just barely warm on the bottom, even though the top is 185ºF; by the way, I checked the temperature with a laser thermometer and it's within a degree - so I'm happy to say the temperature indication is accurate too. Great product. UPDATE: 4/15/2018 I've been using this for some time now and find that the warmer is still an excellent product and I would buy it again today; fortunately, there's no need as it still works and looks great.

Oh yeah, totally worth getting the “higher end” warmer
I am a coffee and tea drinker - big time - and I am always putting something over my coffee mug to keep it warm when I walk away. I have been wanting one of these things for a long time but I don’t like to buy something just to buy something. I love my gadgets and I said heck I’ll go ahead and splurge on this coffee warmer and I told myself I could also use it when I need to melt chocolate because I do like to bake. I liked that it didn’t look like your old run of the mill round generic coffee warmer. It’s square shape and the light on the digits when it lights up are easy to the eye. After reading some reviews regarding the flat bottom on a coffee mug issue, I still ordered this and I went on the rampage to look at flat bottomed coffee mugs. Don’t panic, my regular coffee mug worked just fine. Also I have a stainless steel mini carafe with lid attached that I keep my creamer in so it’s not so cold straight out of the fridge. Now I can even put the mini metal carafe on the warmer to warm up my creamer. I live in the mountains and it gets chilly out here. I have only had this for two days and I am so glad I went with this more pricey warmer because I knew I would absolutely use it every morning and evening.

A wonderful warmer! You need to follow the instructions though ...
I've had the Cosori stainless steel warming plate since early November 2017 and love it. I was a bit concerned based on the poor reviews but it has been phenomenal for me. I make my tea in a very thin glass coffee pot (from on old, now defunct, drip coffeemaker) and keep that pot on the Cosori. I set the thermometer at 200º and the tea stays nicely warm until I'm ready to pour it into my cup. The trick to it working well is actually reading the instructions that tell you to use a thin-walled, flat-surfaced container, not a heavy mug. (Oh, and I paid full price for this - I am not a troll.)

Works Great!
This works perfectly, keeping my hot beverage the same temperature as I started with the whole time it sat on this mug warmer --I love it! I did NOT even use a flat-bottomed mug which is recommended. My usual concave bottomed ceramic mug was fine. My guess for some of the negative reviews on this product is that those people like their drinks to be scorching hot (I have many friends who are like this) and I like my drink to be just a normal hot.

BEST OF THE BEST
Been looking for this unit for 20 years. It is flat and holds any size cup or mug. I have large bottom mugs that I use for my tea and they do not fit down into the other cup warmers that have edges. This one does not. I do not have a problem with the liquid too cold as I start with very hot tea. Some one complained that the full mug was not hot toward the top and then as it got lower it was too hot. I do not seem to have that problem at all. I find it is quite nice from beginning to end and that covers several hours. You can spill on it and it doesn't crack and peel like the other warmers do. And it holds the temperature AND remembers your setting. Totally cool.. I had a Mickey Mouse warmer that didn't shut off and ended up getting so hot it cracked my mug. WHAT a mess! This unit is lovely, looks like stainless. I am so glad I found it.
