Second unit works excellently

The Portable DVD Player arrived quickly, but the battery would not hold a charge. When the battery still did not hold a charge, after trying the car charger, a second unit was sent overnight. The second Portable DVD Player battery holds a charge longer than 6 hours. The Portable DVD Player continues to work well despite very rough treatment from my 2 year old. This DVD player was just the right size for our road trip. I highly recommend this product!

It has a large viewing screen and a remote for easy function purposes

I am very impressed with this DVD player. It is exactly what I was looking for. It has a large viewing screen and a remote for easy function purposes. The picture quality when playing a movie is crystal clear. It is completely mobile. It can run on it's rechargeable battery for hours. I used it during the power outage this past Nor'easter! Since I love it so much, I will be going ahead and buying head phones for it. I haven't tried playing any games yet but am looking forward to it. (It comes with a complimentary joy stick). Totally recommend this product!!

Very useful for long car trips

I looked at many products before ordering this one and I love the size of this one it’s not too big or too small and that it comes with all the cables to charge on the go or hook up to the tv. The sound is not very loud but i hooked it up to the car AUX so the whole family could hear throughout and it worked out perfectly. The battery life is great and i can’t wait to set up the video games for our next trip with the kids!

This is the perfect player for me

I bought this Cooau DVD player to replace the player I had and accidently smashed when I dropped a full bottle of cooking oil on it. And to be quite honest, I'm not disappointed 'now' that I dropped it, I really like this player. I ordered the blue one and it's quite handsome. The blue and black combination are vividly colorful. The screen is the perfect size for me viewing it in the kitchen and I love the swivel screen, this is the first player I've had that has had that feature. It's also the first that has USB and SD card capability. The video quality is great though the volume won't blow you away, which is typical of just about any portable DVD player, so no fault to Cooau. I simply connect it to an external speaker and then I can hear it down the hallway. The fact that you can download and play games is a very nice touch on the company's part, though I didn't buy it for that and may not use the feature. All in all I am very pleased with the player and would buy another without hesitation.

Out of sync

The picture and sound are good. There was a problem with the picture and sound being off sync with each other. My son was repeatedly pausing movie then playing again to try to match the words to what was going on in the movie. We did get info on how to correct the issue and once we did an update, which was very easy, it solved the issue. We are very happy with the player and customer service.

Nice portable Unit

Wonderful portability. Only draw back is it doesn’t use a HDMI cable to display on a TV. Uses the old fashioned video and audio cables . The dvd reader mechanism is also accessible if our 5 year old gets a hold of it he is likely to stick his finger in it. But I still recommend this cool player.

Retro game playing ability :-)

I was a little skeptical at first because of to many 5 star reviews but I have to say this turned out to be a great product for what I bought it for... the retro game playing ability. I wanted the introduce my little one to the games I played when I was his age. He loves it as well. I do like the fact that the game controller is compact and easy to use. I have tried several PC NES game emulators and they all have their ups and down. This COOAU offers a decent player to go back in time.

I love this product

I love this product. I had no problems playing my dvds and cds. I know cds are becoming a thing of the past but I have a lot of good old school songs (mix compilations) that you simply can't download. I can also connect my dvd player to a large speaker or my "Anker" using the auxiliary cord. No regrets!!!

Easy to use

I received it packed in extremely good conditions, it is easy to use, the screen is of a good size and very easy to carry around, not heavy. It has many functions other than just watching a dvd on it just as they mentioned in their description.

The audio and video were not in sync. If you paused the DVD it would sync up for a couple of minutes then go back out again. Sent it back for a refund. Going to try another brand. Edit~ After being contacted by the manufacturer, we were able to fix the problem. Good customer service goes a long way in today's economy, and COOAU proves it. I will be doing more business with them in the future.
