Great Product
I just recently purchased a few pre-seasoned cast iron skillets from Lodge and I needed an easy way to keep them cleaned and seasoned. The Caron Doucet cleaning bundle was an excellent choice. The soap and oil worked as described. The soap has a slight scent and a little goes a long way. The same for the oil, you only need a little to provide a nice shine.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVE FOR CAST IRON
I don't very often post reviews, but this product has been fantastic. I have a very nice cast iron skillet that I spent a bit on and I want to keep it in good shape. I had been cleaning it with just hot water and a chain mail scrubber and sometimes it was a bit of work to get some of the harder "cooked on" bits off. The soap has been fantastic! Just a small amount does the trick and makes cleaning a breeze. Also the scent is great and neutralizes any food odors like fish, onions or garlic. After cleaning I had been using a little grape seed oil for conditioning, but this oil is so much better. Again, just a little goes a long way, and I like that it won't go rancid. I cannot recommend this product any more strongly. Worth every penny.

Hope for my cast iron!
I love cooking in cast iron and have more than one fry pan. They are all older and well seasoned. But about a year ago I bought a deep, covered fry pan. It is a Lodge so I figured it would be seasoned in no time with all the use I give it. But it just doesn't want to aquire the seasoning so when I found the Caron cast iron soap and oil I couldn't wait to try it. My pan and the cover are both responding well to the seasoning, I am very encouraged.

Great Care for Cast Iron Pots
I used this cleaner and conditioner on my 3 cast iron Dutch ovens. It cleaned and rejuvenated all of my DOs. The cleaner removed leftover burned on food from our last camp trip. The conditioner made the pots shine without sticky residue. One of my pots smelled of rancid oil I used the cleaner on it to remove the leftover oil It completely removed the old oil and the off smell. I recommend the Cast Iron Care bundle for cleaning, rejuvenating and preparing cast iron for continued usage.

Well Worth It for any Cast Iron Cookware Enthusiast!!!
The soap works extremely well on my cast iron cookware. It has a very pleasing, mild scent and doesn't suds-up too much. The oil is really good as well and it goes a long way so don't use too much thinking you need a lot to cover the surface. Just don't use any rags, cloth's, or paper towels that leave lint residue easily but even then it's easily removed by blowing off.

This soap and oil are the best things since cast iron.
I love this stuff. I just recently started cooking in a cast-iron skillet. I had a cast-iron skillet I got from my grandmother years ago when she died but didn't understand how to care for it (before the advent of the internet) and ended up tossing it. I could cry now. I have a New York Times recipe for marinara sauce that specifically says to use a cast-iron skillet. So I decided to try cast iron again as they come pre-seasoned now. I thought that would mean I didn't have to do anything to care for it. WRONG! But have you ever tried to get tomato sauce out of a cast-iron skillet without soap? Unfortunately, every time I used my regular kitchen soap I ruined the finish of the skillet and had to season it all over again, but that never went well. I would think I had fixed it but I'd walk by my stove and there it was, covered in rust. Ugh! I was so frustrated until I got this soap and oil, and now I absolutely love my cast-iron skillet because of this product. I cook everything in it now. This soap and oil are the best things since cast iron. I highly recommend.

If you have cast iron, BUY THIS NOW
I already had the iron oil so I decided to get the soap. BEST. PURCHASE. EVER. IT cleans very well and doesn't remove the finish like using soap. If you have cast iron, this is absolutely worth it.

Great soap & oil for grills
I really like this soap & oil for cast iron. I have a lodge barbque with a grill that's cast iron and a griddle. I just soak the grill after barbqueing and then use the soap to clean the grill. Then put it on top of stove light 2 burners to dry. Then when cooled a little add oil to it while it's still hot so it cures. Then after whip any excess if any.

FINALLY....A GREAT WAY TO CLEAN CAST IRON POTS AND PANS!
I purchased a le creuset cast iron grill, dutch oven, and signature skillet years ago. I probably wouldn't have purchased the cast iron had I known how difficult it was to clean inside the pan with a only a sponge and hot water (which is the 'proper' way to clean cast iron). Even soaking the cast iron with soap for 2 DAYS doesn't seem to fully clean the pans. I finally got fed up and decided to look for items to help with the long and tedious cleaning process like the Caron Doucet - Cast Iron Care Bundle. We cooked burgers tonight. You can see the mess it leaves in my pan by looking at my attached photo! For reference, it normally takes at least 30 minutes of soaking and cleaning the grill to clean the pan. However, I used the the cast iron care bundle tonight tonight with the full circle tenacious C cast iron brush. I was able to slash the time of cleaning my grill to 10 minutes. I have never been able to clean my grill so well (or any cast iron pan for that matter). It looks like a NEW PAN (see photos). Pros of the cleaning product: 1. The cleaning product smells great (like a mix of citrus and ginger). 2. I was a bit nervous because we are not supposed to use soap to clean cast iron. I thought maybe it would ruin the surface of my pan. However, my pan was totally fine and I believe this is a very mild soap. Things to note: 1. The directions say to clean the cast iron immediately after each use. I waited a bit until after I finished eating to clean my pan. I then put water and the caron doucet soap into the pan and heated it on the stove. I was able to clean my pan quickly and efficiently using that method. Overall thought: FINALLY, an item that helps me clean well! I believe you should definitely purchase the the full circle tenacious C cast iron brush too, which will make the cleaning process more effective.

Works great
The soap is nice because it’s not drying. I only use it once and a while (using a natural bristled brush) when I cook wet or goopy food. Then I dry on the stovetop followed by a coat of the oil. The residual oil will smoke when you preheat your cookware. Not a big deal. Just some seasoning being created! My only gripe is the bottle the oil comes in. It leaks after you use it. No matter what. I may have to find a different container.
