Used this to control power to a 12VDC to 24VDC transformer...

Switch leg is off the amp wire from the head unit...my only complaint is the drain on the battery when in the 'off position'...it'll kill the battery if you don't keep a battery tender on it.

Well designed waterproof relay

Awesome design. No instructions or diagrams included. This is how the wiring goes (I Think) Pin 86 trigger input 85 coil ground. 30 input from power source 87 output to device (normally open) 87A not normally used (normally closed)

Nice quality waterproof relay!

I upgraded my axles on my Jeep Rubicon and needed something to simulate the orignal locker detect switch. I wired this into the circuit so that when I turn my lockers on, the relay will close which tells the Jeep the locker is activated. This fixes the blinking locker light problem and turns it to a solid lit dash light. Very easy fix with this relay. I installed the relay near the axle, put wire loom over the wires and used zip ties to secure everything to the original wiring harness to prevent failure of the wires due to bending stresses. This relay is built well and looks like it will last a long time. I agree with another reviewer - the wires could be longer, 12 inches would be great so that I could have offset the waterproof splices I used. Will order another when the need arises.
