Awesome storage for apartment living!
*disclaimer* I live in an apartment, if you do too, you've found the right review! Lemme start by saying, my S.O. and I had our mattress on the floor for the first 3 weeks of moving in to our new place. This meant our brand new sheets, comforter, and a few throw pillows, often frequented the floor; they all picked up dust, dirt, cat hair, etc., the usual day to day messes of life. Stepped on, slipped on, you name it, it probably happened. If you're in this boat, you know, it can be a little frustrating. I told myself I'd build a box spring, buy a nice bedframe with a headboard, do this right... That was 2.5 weeks after telling myself it would be worth it, looking in local shops for pre built box springs and seeing them for no less than $100, and almost $200 after delivery + taxes. Well, since I'm here I guess you can imagine how that went. With work, trying to make the apartment feel like home, constantly cleaning and trying to maintain a social life, and without really your own front yard to do the whole building thing, the idea just became a faint whisper. It was around this time I also noticed the closets were a bit cluttered too, but I just told myself, "this was apartment living" One night, I decided to come to amazon to see if they sell box springs. To my absolute distrust and hesitation, I clicked through some reviews of this platform bedframe. It seemed pretty promising, but some reviews had a couple issues with broken parts and said it felt uncomfortable. I decided to roll the Amazon dice and purchase the platform bedframe. 3 days rolled by and it came, shipped to my apartment and dropped off with a loud "thud" on the front door. The package was heavy and I guess the delivery guy was frustrated from my place being such a frequent stop for him with heavy packages. "Great..." I said, hoping no damage had occurred. The box was pretty beat up too. I opened it, assembled it (took about 5 minutes of finger tightening wing nuts btw) and plopped the mattress up on it. Thankfully it seemed to survive it's rough journey from the warehouse to my place, I noticed two things immediately: 1.) This was the answer to making the bedroom feel more like a home 2.) There is a ridiculous amount of storage underneath the bed that simply isn't allowed for in closets. I stuffed as many rarely-used items under the bed as I possibly could, which allowed me to straighten up the closets. I even made room to keep the box to the frame in there, just in case the S.O. didn't like it and we had to send it back. She came home and also instantly appreciated the look and feel of the bedroom. Needless to say, we did some investigation to see just how loud and sturdy the bedframe is. It's silent, and unmoving! ;) I threw the box out after 2 nights of sleeping on the bed, confident in my purchase and ready to guide other potential customers with a humongous review on why they should also take the plunge and try it. It seriously is the perfect bedframe for an apartment. You'll be glad you tried it!

I found the "Zinus 14 inch Smart Mattress" and read that it would hold some 1200pounds
A retired Marine gunnery sergeant now at 285 lbs. 69 yrs young and as we say in the Corps :no longer lean but still mean, semper fi. I bought a town house 5 yrs back and as a golfer lower backs are common so I bought a platform bed so I would be lower to the floor when getting up which I felt would take stress off my back. Well last week the bed collapsed, which was made entirely with particle board and cheaply made and was cricking all the time. So I decided to get a metal bed frame that would hold my fat ass and not crick. I'm a guy that researches everything to the 9nth degree whether it be a new vehicle or a loaf of bread. I found the "Zinus 14 inch Smart Mattress" and read that it would hold some 1200pounds! So I, as usual read a ton of reviews. If their claim is correct then it should hold my fat ass up so I ordered one. So here's my closing. It actually arrived super quick, I live in San Diego, California. The majority of reviews I read were mainly about how log it took to assemble and some parts were not included. The parts are simply wing nuts and a couple bolts. I took the reviews as a challenge so I took a quick glance at the instructional diagram and assembled the whole unit in twenty minutes. I would suggest, which I did, is to get four (that's all you need) 1/4 inch lock washers to enhance the security of the wing nuts. So once assembled I said to myself once I put my mattress on it I said to myself" Gunny go for it" so I took a big diver upon it and it was like Heaven! it held my fat ass and my old wavy mattress felt great as well also. However, I AM purchasing a new mid-firm mattress to go with this gem of a Zenus Smart Base. Nothing more to say, the product is exceptional, worth every cent, don't sell it short, it is a must have, LOVE MINE!!

I've been framed! 😂
I love this sturdy and simple bedframe! I purchased the mattress, bedding, rug, and lamps in the picture all from Amazon and I couldn't be happier with all of it. The frame is really cool because it collapses down. In a matter of minutes, the frame is only 2 inches thick and can be carried out easily by one person. That would be great for home staging but I use it all the time. Totally worth the price and, if you shop strategically on Amazon, you can get a really high-end look for pennies on the dollar.

So easy and comfortable
Awesome, please do buy. I waited many years to get a platform bed with my mattress on the floor. What a horrible hassle. This bed frame has been such a life saver. My arthritis and migraines with nausea have made getting up and down again very miserable from a mattress on the floor. Making my bed on the floor was super horrible. Hurt my back so much. There's several brands to choose from, but this one is really the best brand after comparing them all. It's built very sturdy and solid. My roommate and I put together a queen size frame in a matter of minutes didn't need a pliers or screw driver etc. My roommate complains of having to help me do anything lol, but he wasn't really complaining of doing this, it was so easy. I got my queen size for around $50, on sale during Xmas. He now badly wants one for his twin bed, but he will have to wait for the next sale, unfortunately. I didn't realize how much he liked these bed frames or I would have gotten him one during the sale. They come in two pieces and you just snap them together. No noise when I toss and turn either, which I do most of the night, every night. The frame is black and also has some really cool legs on it. They have black foam wraps on it and it looks really cool, they look kind of the jumper horses legs with those pretty leg wraps on. There are also rubber stops on the end of the legs it helps a lot, because I frequently have to move my bed around to make it up with sheets etc, and it doesn't seem to damage the frame to do this, to move it around. A wonderful buy. Also it fits the bed perfectly, I have heard of other reviewers saying another brand was to big around the bottom of the frame to fit the bed correctly. This frame doesn't stick out anywhere. It fits the mattress. Every so often these do go on sale. Very well worth it, I just wish I would have gotten this frame years ago. Life mage simplier is wonderful. It's 14 inches off the ground, plenty of storage room underneath. I am 5'3 by the way and my feet touch the floor when sitting on this bed. They have 18 inch taller bed frames but unless you are tall I don't think you would need it. I think these bed frames would be perfect for any need, they fold up so easily for travel etc. I am not planning on moving but for a dorm, or a extra room or for a master bedroom, they are awesome. They fold up easily for storage. I didn't get a bed skirt, but I don't really need one and the frame itself looks really nice without one. If you find any of this review helpful please click it as so. This seriously is the best purchase I've probably ever made. I waited a long time to get this on sale at Amazon and am so glad I did. Also none of the bed frame was bent or damaged from coming in the mail. Put your fears aside and get this it's so well worth it. Also if you have mice, bedbugs or spiders it will make it a lot harder for them to get on your bed as it is 14 inches off the ground. Everyone should have one of these platform bed frames. Another plus is that your dog or cat or pet can crawl underneath it and rest, most pets will like this. Also if you have asthma or allergies getting rid of a box spring or even just getting your mattress off the floor can help. I keep my mattress in a zippered mattress cover to protect me from asthma or allergies, also it protects against bedbugs, they are truly everywhere in America right now. Overall getting your mattress off the floor can be very beneficial. A great buy worth it's weight in gold.

Light and easy to put together.
We just got this in today. I am currently 7 months pregnant and had no issues moving, unloading and putting this together. It was super easy, light, no tools required and took less than 5 mins with me taking pics (I'm visual I like pics).

Nice bed frame
Great bed frame. We purchased this for our queen size, sleep number bed. This frame is very easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The headboard is Cherry and is sold on Amazon, (ASIN B00CPL2H4E), and Platform Frame Brackets for Headboard and Footboard (Set of 2) , (ASIN B005HOO8Q6). We are extremely pleased with these purchase and the overall look and quality of the purchases.

Great foundation
Sturdy, easy to unpack and simple to put together. The 14" height provides room for hideaway storage and rambunctious pets. It, being a firm foundation also eliminates the need for a box spring. The only drawback was the way I stubbed my toes on the legs. I purchased black insulation pipe wraps(they resemble noodles). I cut them to fit each leg and no more swearing!

As claimed, the frame is stable, quiet and has good clearance under the bed. A king size is equal to two twin-XL.
It seems fairly pointless to give another 5-star review to a product that already has over 10,000 5-star reviews. Nonetheless, some questions still seem to be left unanswered, especially with all the products items listed under the same page. I bought the king size bed frame, but I bought it to use for my twin size beds. It fits, somewhat. The king size frame is actually two smaller frames, joined side-by-side with two wingnuts. There were several questions wondering if each of the two smaller frames could be used separately for twin beds. The answer is yes, but the frame is actually 5 inches too long for a twin mattress. Let's go into some dimensions: Approximate mattress sizes: King size: 76"W x 80"L Queen: 60"W x 80"L Full: 54"W x 75"L Twin: 39"W x 75"L Twin-XL: 39"W x 80"L Each of the two frames that make up the king size frame measures about 38"Wx80"L. As you can see, this frame fits the width of a twin mattress (give or take an inch), but is 5 inches longer than a twin mattress. It'll still work, but you'll have some extra frame sticking out. I was considering using these 5 inches to build a wooden bed counter. Also note that this frame fits a twin-xl perfectly. When the two frames are bolted together, you end up with a 77"Wx80"L frame. If you're doing the math, you might be wondering how two 38" widths ended up in a 77" width. That's because the two edges of the frames don't touch each other; there is approximately 1 inch between the two frames due to rivets for the hinges at the center of the frame. The dimensions still work out well for a king size bed. The frame itself was extremely easy to assemble. It came with instructions, but the process is self-explanatory. It took more time getting the frames out of the box than it did to put them together, which only requires the use of the included wingnuts. No tools are necessary. The spacing of the slats are a tad wide that I feel the urge to put something over it to protect the springs of my mattress. Nonetheless, it feels fine lying on it and there are no squeaks. I was also immediately able to store a few boxes, my vornado fan and other random item under the bed. Overall, this bed frame certainly lives up to its hype. If you're considering buying a king size to use a two separate bed frames, note that each separate frame would fit a twin-xl nicely, but would be 5 inches too long for a standard twin mattress.

Strong, so far so good.
It measures exactly to its product dimensions. I was worried if it would fit into my bed frame, but it JUST did by about a half inch. Deffinetly strong. I will update if there are any futures problems.
