Outstanding Results is the Bottom Line

It's taken me a little time to write this review because, well, I wanted to see if the Coravin Elite Pro would keep our wine in top condition, or if it would turn our wine into vinegar. We experimented on four bottles of wine, two whites and two reds. The Coravin is very easy to use. The pictoral directions in the box are more than enough to start you on your way. Insert the argon gas cartridge, ready the plunger secure to the bottle - right through foil - and slide-insert the needle. Prime the Coravin, and you're ready to pour. Of course this process would not at all determine the success of the unit... time would tell for that. Wait a week. Then pour again. Perfect. Just like a new bottle. The Elite Pro is easy to clean, and in no time we were ready to try again. Set the unit up; try a glass, this time a fruity white, and wait until next weekend. Pour again... and you have the same splendid glass as you did the previous week. I come from a family where wine is enjoyed regularly, but we tend to not risk buying pricier wines as we might not be able to come close to finishing a bottle. This product, now well-tested and proven, has given us the confidence to not feel threatened that a really nice bottle of wine will end up being poured down the drain because we couldn't finish it the week before. We know that it will be just as it was on day one when it was "uncorked" so to speak. The Coravin stores very nicely in a small section of a kitchen drawer. We are still on our first argon cartridge after four bottles. The only thing I would begin to complain about with the Coravin is the price; $400 is steep for something that isn't made out of titanium or some other resilient metals; it's mostly plastic, and we treat it very delicately. Even then, the results are so good that I wouldn't think about knocking a star off my review. This really is an excellent product for wine lovers.

It works

Excellent. If you love wine but usually do not finish your bottle in one meal, this is for you. Works perfectly (I have been able to consume a bottle in 6 days) and every time tasted like it was never opened.

For any Wine Lover a must have!

We got this a few weeks ago & really love it. Nice to know we can tap a bottle & go out for dinner or take a vacation knowing that the wine will taste as good as the first pour. Also like the fact we can have several bottles tapped or Coravined at the same time & we can have a different wine each night. Somewhat pricey but worth it. Who would think you could pour a glass of wine without pulling the cork. Ingenious! Speaking of which in order to save on argon when you’re ready to enjoy couple of glasses & the bottles at the halfway point that’s the time to just pull the cork.
