This filter will dramatically improve your Dolphin's performance!

This basket filter is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade from the "fine" wire mesh filter that came with our Dolphin. We sometimes have issues with algae blooms and this basket even strains that out after I brush the sides of the pool. You HAVE to take care of it. I recommend following the instructions and cleaning it immediately after every cleaning. Because it's so fine and things get stuck, it can be difficult and time-consuming to fully clean. You also have to clean it while it's still wet. Do not let it dry out dirty. This upgrade is worth every penny. If you're going to spend $500 on a pool vacuum, you may as well have the best filter basket available.

Works great getting all the fine dirt, I use the water hose with sprayer to easily clean it.

Made a quick clean up when opening pool, had to use 3 times, I don't cover pool in winter. Though it does such a excellent job cleaning the fine silt, make sure to empty and clean often, it picks up so much that it can clog fast, don't let it runn the 1.5hrs that cleanerer is programmed for without checking performance.

Fantastic Upgrade - Great Improvement in Filtering Capability

This is the filter assembly the Dolphin and similar models should ship with. The original filter on mine deteriorated and was simply passing debris. I went looking for a replacement and found this. While I feel it is pricey, the GREATLY improves the performance of the filter, removing very fine debris from the pool. I highly recommend this as an upgrade to any of the appropriate Maytronics models.

Fits perfectly and works well

Bought this for my daughter as a gift, it fits the Dolphin Escape perfectly, came just in time during the windy season when all the leaves and dust blown into her pool. She said cleaning the pool is such an easy job now.

Takes fine particles out

Bought this as the filter that comes with it does not take fine alergie out, and it settles on the bottom like a grey dust. This works great and did the trick. To bad they don’t tell you and you have to reseaech it, and pay extra. In the end it does the job. Also had to go online and find the Utube video to learn how to take out the piece and install. Easy once you see it. Direction that comes with it are weak.
