Works great. I installed in in my SUV rear window and used the supplied power outlet switch to turn it on. No wiring issues. Image is clear and the infrared LEDs even work through the rear window.

Excellent backup camera

Received the product in less than 24 hours. Installation was very straight forward and took about 1.5 hours, mostly due to routing the video cord from the camera to inside the cab on a 2005 Tundra Doublecab. Image quality on the 4.3 monitor is excellent for the price. The camera itself is a little bulky, but seems to be adequate. Washed the truck after and no water seems to have gotten into the camera. Very satisfied with my purchase. Will update within a month. UPDATE: The unit is performing well. The resolution on the monitor is still clear. Just received the FREE 2nd unit today as advertised on the instructions. Seller said it would arrive Wednesday 4/24, but it arrived 2 days early. Definitely recommend this product and this seller. Great product at a great price and prompt response and excellent service. No complaints so far!

WHAT A DEAL

I purchased this backup camera to replace a much more expensive system that had failed. I was not expecting to get the quality that is put into the new unit that I purchased. The wiring is high quality and assembled in such a was to either connect the wiring to the rear reverse light or to the cigaret lighter for its power source. The display monitor gives a picture that is quite clear and the IR lights provide grest lighting at night. Customer service has been very responsive ( I needed a windshield mount that they offer for free if you need it). Overall I think that I have made an amazing purchase of a backup camera system that should sell for much more. Merry Christmas!!! I use Amazon for most of my purchases and do not write reviews on a regular basis.

A good unit for the price; great Amazon deal!

I have a 98 F150 with a blind spot directly behind the truck due to the tool box. A small child close to the rear was impossible to see. Hence the reason for the camera. I decided to write this review as I was surprised at the quality and ease on installation. When I received the camera/monitor I bench tested it for a few hours before I started the install. No problems here. First I installed the camera using the license tag bolts. Next I I removed the tail light assembly and wired the camera to the back up light positive and negative wires as directed in the manual. The manual was adequate but could have been translated a bit better. I then hooked up the monitor and put the vehicle in Reverse to make sure my connections were correct and they were. Next I routed the wiring along the chassis using ty wraps to secure the cable it away from the tire. Running the cable along and under the carpet to the monitor and I was finished! You will need to use your imagination to find the best way to enter the inside and find places to secure the wiring. IMPORTANT! Wrap a good quality electrical tape over the plugs to keep out the elements. I used Scotch 88. The unit works well. As it is a basic Reverse Camera/Monitor there are not a bunch of bells and whistles but surely for the money it can't be beat. It is as described and works well!! Disclosure: I am an electronics technician and was familiar with wiring. But if the buyer goes slowly, reads the manual and makes a fun project out of this camera he will be pleasantly surprised.

Works Perfect! Great Value!

I bought this camera to install in my father's car. He is elderly and has difficulty turning his body to look over his shoulder while parking. This item looks totally similar to similar camera systems yet is at a much lower price. The install was very easy, especially if you have experience wiring amps and subwoofers from the trunk. I really like how the kit only requires you to run one wire that has the video signal and the camera power. My dad said he wanted the camera to always be on but wanted to still have both 12v outlets free for GPS and phone charger. Instead of running power from the reverse light, I flipped the cable around and drew power from the stereo circuit. In all, It took a couple hours to disassemble the interior and to tuck everything. Ended up looking professional. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a good system at a budget!

Great unit for the money. Great customer service.

I ordered and installed this wired backup camera. My application required the longer video cable (read caveat at end), which Dohonesbest provided free of charge. And relatively quick. Results are great. Clear picture without the flickering of the wireless units. Color is not perfect, but hey, it's just a backup camera. And the nightime infrared camera is superior to the LED units sold elsewhere. Also, my installation allowed me to remove the mounting bracket and attach to the dashboard with self stick Velcro (Name brand, NOT dollar store). Handy in case I want to remove to adjust image setting. About the video cable. I needed the 66' size. The video is perfect. BUT, the power circuit of the 66' is NOT identical to the original included cable. It does not have the red & black power wires that are built into the standard cable. Also, the actual plugs are one male and one female (see the included photo), unlike the identical plugs of the original. This doesn't matter if you are installing using the REVERSE LIGHT option. This is ONLY important if you plan to use the LIGHTER ON/OFF CONTROL. If so, you will need to get creative. (This was NOT meant as a criticism, just information to potential installers.)

Easy to install, easy to see behind you with good quality video feed

Works great, easy to install. My son is learning to drive ( scary as all parents know) it is making it easier to teach him to back and parallel park, I’m glad I purchased this from Dohnesbest. Thank you for good quick shipping and service. Update have had on car 3 months, color on camera quit its monochrome now. Think it quit quickly. Contacted dohonesbest customer service, they helped me trouble shoot camera. When that didn’t work they quickly sent out a replacement. The problem is solved. Thank you dohonesbest.

I can finally back the PT Cruiser out of my ...

I can finally back the PT Cruiser out of my narrow, angled driveway without embarrassingly needing assistance. There's a fairly steep drop off to one side and my vision isn't A+. With the backup camera, though? Piece of cake. It works really well. One thing to note, though. If you have a PT Cruiser the install will not be as simple as with other cars. YouTube is your friend and be prepared to spend longer. It's worth it.

Easy install - Great Camera!

My hubby purchased this. He hooks up a trailer to the truck every weekend for projects he is always working on. Always struggled a bit to back up truck to get close enough to trailer. He had no trouble installing and loves this purchase. Saves him so much time and the image on the screen is so clear. We purchased one for my father in law too, he goes camping a lot. Seller very responsive, would purchase from buyer again.

Awesome Deal and Wonderful Customer Service !!!!

Wow, how can you beat this price and such wonderful customer service? Is it a top of the line rear view camera? No, but is it a fantastic deal for people who want a rear view camera but don't want to spend a lot of money?.....absolutely!!! We have a Roadtrek camper van and seeing behind us is a challenge when backing up or driving on a multiple lane roadway so we wanted a camera that we could turn off and on in situations besides just backing up. We installed it for continuous use by using the cigarette lighter (actually we have a cigarette lighter splitter) and it works great. The company deserves five stars as they are unbelievably responsive to emails and sent us a longer video/power cable and cigarette lighter adapter within a few days of our request.
