I FRICKIN LOVE THIS THING! Dosent matter any more if I can find the middle pull for a skein of yarn, you can slide your yarn on and pull from the outside. No need to make a ball either. The only thing I would say needs some improving is that the base is a little small, makes it a little "tippy" if you pull to hard.(but the trade off is it's easy to put in a bag and carry with)

Works perfectly

The holder spins very smoothly and accommodates large and small skeins/balls/cakes of yarn well, from what I've tested. It's definitely more convenient than pulling out yarn to work with beforehand or digging around in the middle of a center pull skein. Also, the silicone tabs that come with it are actually stamped out on a small square, and sticking the leftover part of the square on the bottom makes the base even more difficult to slide around. It's worth doing if you have cats that like to try to play table hockey.

I love the way it looks but the best part is the way it works. It turns very very smoothly. It doesn't jerk and twist the yarn backwards like some others tend to do. I have used others that cost 3 times as much that are not nearly as good as this yarn holder. The spinning mechanism is superb. I am a knitter and crocheter for 40 years. This is the best yarn holder I have ever used.

This actually works with large cotton cones!

I bought this to use with the large cotton cones. Everything else I looked at wouldn’t work well because the cardboard insert that holds the cotton is tapered to be thinner at the top This holder actually works with it!! And the “extras” are really nice!!! I would recommend this to anyone using the large cones of cotton!!!!

Excellent product!

This does exactly what I wanted it to. I am using Sugar ‘n Cream cones of yarn for a project and it was a real task to keep the yarn coming for knitting. With this yarn holder, it is a cinch. Excellent product!

Great gift idea for crocheting/knitting friends and family

I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend who enjoys crocheting and often has her yarn laying on the table, chairs, wherever she may be. This seemed like a great idea for her to keep her yarn steady and to be more efficient while she works (and to make her projects more enjoyable!). She was very excited when I gave this to her, so I say this was a successful Christmas gift idea.

AMAZING!

This yarn holder is amazing! I wanted to use it with my knitting machine and really did not expect it to work, so was thrilled when it did. Every now and then, the yarn gets caught at the bottom, but that is no big deal. It sure beats pulling out yards of yarn before I can feed it into the knitting machine. It is beautifully made and the silicon tabs make it very stable on the table. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this yarn holder!

This is awesome

There were other yarn holders that were cheaper but the biggest complaint was they were too light weight, so I ordered this one and it is great. The base is very heavy and on my table as you can see it does not move. I am going to really enjoy this. Don't hesitate to buy this holder you will not be disappointed. Thank you

Exceeded my expectations

This product exceeded my expectations! It is a great solution to working with large cones of crochet thread; keeps them from “running”’around the room and provides easy feed. The turning mechanism is very smooth—no need to tug on the cone. I have not tried it yet with wool yarn, but,I’m sure it will work well for that, too. The dispenser is beautifully crafted, no rough spots. It it a piece of art in itself! I expect to use it for the rest of my life and hand it down to my granddaughter. Love, love, love it!
