Most Protection!

This is the third case I tried for the Note 8 and the third time is the charm. This case is super protective. It completely encloses the phone and even has removable (but attached) covers over the headphone jack and charging port. If the phone were dropped when the phone is in the case and in the holster, the only way for the screen to touch the ground or floor is if there were something sticking up. If you drop it on a corner, you're out of luck but nothing's going to help that. The photo shows how much clearance there is between the surface and the screen.

No proximity issues, great built in screen etx.

OMG! Buy this. for one... The built in screen protector is flush with the screen and curves with thw edge. You cant even even tell their is a protector.its doesn't affect quality of video or screen. Its not a tacky/sticky built in protector where you can feel it slightly bubbled up when you type and hear it tap against the real glass. THIS BUILT IN SCREEN PROTECTOR LOOKS AND FEELS LIKE THE REAL SCREEN. That's why ive always been skeptical to buying full coverage protectors. Its just feel good, looks good, and there are no sound issues (with calls or video). Oh, and BEFORE THIS CASE I HAD PROXITY ISSUES EVERY NOW AND THEN WITH OTHER CASES OR PROTECTORS BUT NOT THIS ONE.! Stop looking around and get THIS ONE FOR THE NOTE 8. And you can not beat the price!!!

Better than Otterbox Defender

I don't know if I got a newer model or what, but the other reviews are very wrong. The screen protector on this is fantastic. Better than the Otterbox Defender. That case is usually my go-to case for all of my phones. Usually I get a case like this one from SUPCASE and replace it when the Defender comes out, but this time it was the opposite. Otterbox completely dropped the ball with the Defender for Note8. Not only does it not have a built in screen protector which I prefer over tempered glass or other solutions, they have the gall to charge nearly $40 for "Alpha Glass" which is just a thick piece of plastic that isn't even cut right for the screen. I returned that terrible solution and put this case on as soon as I got it, and I'm glad I did. The screen protector is tight and responsive. I can actually type with it on, as opposed to what I had to do with that Otterbox Alpha Glass. It's a step above what Otterbox has been offering for the past few years. The screen protectors on their last few Defender models, the Note7 (RIP) and the S7 Edge specifically, were so thick and poor fitting that you practically had to poke your phone like a nun poking your chest through a sweater to get any response. Tl;dr, Don't buy the Otterbox Defender or the Alpha Glass screen protector they are offering. You'll end up spending $80 for an inferior setup.

THE BEST CASE !

I have used several phone cases over the years for a variety of different phones, and have had some decent ones, but i have never had one i like as much as this one...the holster is a different story. First, when you take it out of the box you will see just how great this case looks, it looks fantastic without drawing attention to it, perfect for those of us that don't need to show off our phones, or advertise to thieves that i am carrying a $1000 phone. Second, once you see it, you should know how to install the case...it's so easy and takes all of 15 seconds to install - after you spend 10 minutes cleaning the greasy finger prints off the glass, lol. You install the front first, then the back, then peel off the protective film from the front - and done. Then we come to the fit and finish, this case fits my Note 8 like it's a factory accessory, absolutely perfect ! And it looks amazing. Tough, with a nice techy feel to satisfy my inner nerd. The buttons are pretty much impossible to accidentally click - i hated that with my other case, every time i picked it up i clicked something. PROS: It looks amazing The fit and finish is spot on Access to all ports and Spen EXCELLENT sensitivity with the screen protector - only a very slight loss on the edges The fact that it comes with a screen protector - no need to find that works with the case Price - it's honestly worth more Fantastic protection with raised edges, rubber surround, and screen protector Buttons cannot be easily pressed by accident Buttons are solid and have a subtle, yet satisfying click than you can feel when pressed CONS: It can be tough to remove the case once installed - i had some dust sneak in during install, and had to remove it The holster clip - The pocket / belt clip is centered on the case, which causes the top of the phone to lean outward, pulling on your pocket / belt, and offers more chances for your phone to get caught on things, or smack walls, people in crowded areas. I will only be using the holster when i need it, otherwise i will be carrying my phone in a pocket. INSTALLATION: Clean your phone thoroughly because once on you don't want to remove the case. Install the front of the case first by pressing it down over the front of your phone, then do the same for the back of the case, once the back is installed over the sides of the screen protector, gently press any loose rubber against the phone. Once the case is installed peel the protective layer off the front, and you're done - enjoy your new case ! FINAL THOUGHTS: This case is almost perfect, the holster is the only thing that keeps it from reaching that "perfect case" status. Those of you who watch a lot of movies may also not like the fact that there is no kickstand. For the price you just can't beat it, especially when you compare it to other cases costing two to three times more - now understand that my phone is already waterproof, so it may not be fair to judge some of the more costly cases. But you are getting a very high quality product, that is pleasing on the eyes, and a joy to carry in the hand. I highly recommend this case, you won't be disappointed - except for maybe the holster, and no kickstand. I would love to try other colors for my Note 8, but i'm poor - when i get the chance, i will be reviewing more of these Unicorn Beetle cases for sure, they are awesome !

Good supplement to Otterbox Defender, but a few things to keep an eye on...

Firstly, THIS IS A GREAT CASE! It's not an Otterbox which is my go to, but that case wouldn't fit right on my phone with the tempered glass, so I was on the hunt. I prefer a sturdier, bulkier case normally - I have butter fingers, so I can't be trusted NOT to drop my phone; though, with cases like that, no matter how many times I have every dropped my phone over the years, it never got damaged. Ordered this after I got a reco and got to see it in person from someone who had it. I am so happy with this case so far. I haven't dropped my phone yet to see how the case will hold up, but few things... 1. If you have tempered glass AND use the plastic - IT WON'T WORK! You have to have one or the other. The plastic though works well as a temporary until you can find the right tempered glass that works for you. 2. Plastic is easy to pop out, BUT use caution because if you rush, you will crack the front part of the case - trust me, I know someone who did that which is why we were very cautious popping out the plastic. 3. When putting on the case, you might feel like the glass won't pop in. Just take your time and apply enough pressure. Don't overdo it and then crack your glass either! It takes some finagling (sp?). 4. Buttons work well with this case. 5. Oh, whatever tempered glass you do use, once the case is on right, it will lock the glass in. I have the full glass one, not the one that has holes at the top / bottom. It tucked in nicely. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Second Unicorn Beetle Case

This case is absolutely awesome! This is my second purchase for this particular style from SUPCASE. I bought one of these for my LG G4 when I had that phone and this case has never let me down. I am a klutz and I always drop my phone. With this case, my phone has always been protected and looks brand new to this day. I ordered this case as soon as I knew I was going to get the Note 8. It fits perfectly, and protects well. The only thing I never liked on this case was the built-in screen protector. I use another tempered glass protector & have removed this one from the front frame. It still protects super well! Edit: I just need to make sure I add one note: If you use a magnetic mount system in your car, you may want to consider the placement of the metal plate. This case is just thick enough to cause issues if you place the plate inside the case/on the phone itself. That being said, you may want to consider having the plate on the outside back of this case.

I think my screen protector hassles are over or at least I hope they are?

Now mind you I just got this case in the mail 10 minutes ago. So I will update this review if neccesary. However my initial impression of this case are geat. The screen protector has ecxellent response with keypad and phone. In fact better than stick on protectors as those lift shortly after instillation causing me to at least have to double press buttons. So far this screen protectors response is flawless. I am a huge fan of port covers which this case has. i know they say these phones are water resistant. However if I was ever to drop my phone in a puddle, I would prefer a case with port covers on it when it happens. All volume and power buttons work flawless as well. Like I said this is my initial impression of this product but will update review if needed. If like me your tired of replacing lousy screen protector after lousy screen protector. Then give this a try. Hopefully this is the answer to the only thing I hate about the galaxy note 8 edge. Ill fitting screen protectors.

Best available case

I'm a long time otterbox user who is very disappointed that they have not kept the built-in screen protector for the note 8 defender series. This case is an able replacement if you have to have the built-in screen protection. It's not as rugged feeling as the otterbox, but it doesn't feel flimsy in the hand. Overall it's worth the money and is doing the job for me. Update: the phone has now had two crashes (being knocked from table height by my children) both involving multiple rolls. I am happy to report that there has been no damage to the device. The case has one slight scratch, but it's not highly visible. I'm also very happy with the sensitivity of the screen protector. Otterbox should be ashamed of their offering.

Great case, was a big otterbox fan but after almost $100 for the full case it was a joke, I'm done with otter box I can buy 5 of theses for the same price and they are very nice. I am very hard on my phones and this has held up great and feels good in my hand. One more comment people complained about touch screen sensitivity just go into your settings and raise your screen sensitivity and it works fine.

Great full coverage case! Don't hesitate!

With the curved edges on the note 8, I've gone through 5 (expensive) tempered glass screen protectors in 1 year. The slightest drop or even normal use resulted in the tempered glass screen protector cracking because it never truly properly adheres to the screen. All of mine were put on by store employees (various stores & various employees) and I've been told by all of them that unfortunately the screen protectors and cases are an issue with curved edge phones. Also, I was disappointed with the protection my Otterbox Defender case provided. I finally decided to shop for another case and wanted a full coverage case with a built in screen protector. I'm so glad I decided on this one! Not only is it far less expensive than what I spent on the useless Otterbox case which wasn't properly protecting my phone anyway and all of the tempered glass screen protectors, but this case is better quality! It is a sturdy, durable, great quality, perfect size, nice looking case. The screen protector is highly responsive and doesn't affect typing or S pen use at all. You will see finger prints (expected) but other than that, it's awesome. No issues at all. I've had no problems with the port covers and find them easy to open and offer easy accessibility to all ports, as well as highly responsive function keys. They work as well with the case on as they do with it off. Very user friendly! This case is exactly what I was looking for and if you're searching for a full-body case that will protect your entire phone, do not hesitate. This one is great!
