Great coffee pot, better than it looks, I ordered another one.

Love this percolator works and looks Great! Some reviewer‘s said it doesn’t work on induction stove top, NOT TRUE...see pic.

We live in a rural area and experience occasional power outages, especially in winter. I have several back-up propane and butane stoves. I used this percolator to make coffee about a dozen times, just to get used to it and was very pleased with the results. It is very well made and should last for many years of use.

This percolator is GREAT! I love it. Brings me back to when I was a young boy watching my father PERK up some coffee for mom and him. I have an Keurig, which I love mostly for the convenience, but on the weekend, I watch as my coffee PERKS on. Smells and tastes great, handle doesn't get hot, handful of parts to clean, but worth it, THANKS!!!

I selected this over the Farberware percolator because the handle extends further away from the pot. It is a solid coffee pot. I am new to percolating but have wanted to try it for years. The coffee is so much more robust and flavorful. You can get the store brand and have delicious coffee. I'm so tired of buying expensive coffee that doesn't taste the same when you brew it at home. The only negative is that I was expecting 8 mugs of coffee. Not. The 8 cup measure must be for the old tiny cups with saucers. We get 4 mugs. That's OK because I would rather have 4 great tasting mugs of coffee. I use a recipe that was in the Farberware comments, and it's perfect every time. Fill pot with 8 cups of COLD WATER, using the markings on the inner wall of the pot. Into the basket (I use a disc filter), put 8 heaping TEASPOONS of your favorite coarse-ground coffee. Pop on the basket lid and close the pot lid (securely). Bring the pot to a boil using the high burner setting--you'll see the beginning of percolation in about 13-14 minutes. As soon as the water in the top bubble turns lightly brown, turn heat down to middle heat setting and set a timer for 6 minutes. Don't forget to dial it down from high! If you forget, the pot will boil over. When the timer goes off, move the pot to a cold burner. Let it sit for 1 minute (it's still brewing). Pour yourself and your spouse a nice cup of coffee. Your spouse will love you.

My parents wanted a regular coffee pot...good luck finding one in a store. Amazon of course had a few. Long story short they absolutely loved this pot. They loved it so much I sent another one as a back up since the don't like many things I get them. Only negative they had was a small spring that they were afraid they would loose because it is tiny and pops off...they are old and have not so nimble fingers.

We have only used it for a handfull of times. I was using the Faberware stove perculator but the piece in the middle of the lid kept breaking. Faberware did not have any replacement lids and I was tired of buying coffee pots. I had to replace Faberware's twice. I really like this for two reasons. First the handle is away from the pot so it doesn't get hot when the coffee is done and I have to pour it. Second, there is a flip top lid which makes it easier to open and I don't use the middle piece on the lid (which eventually breaks). Cooking coffee on the stove is so much better than an electric coffee maker. It takes a little longer but it is worth it.

This percolator works perfectly on my outdoor grill's side burner. I love the smell of percolating coffee, but it's rare that anyone uses stovetop percolators anymore. I had a blue ceramic one, but lost the cup and stem to it, and decided to do an upgrade. This is well designed, the handle stays safely away from the fire, and it does an excellent job of making coffee (and steaming that sweet smell over my deck). Recommended!

I loved coffee from a stove top percolator when I was young. Along came Mr Coffee - thanks Joe Dimaggio - and 'new' pushed 'old' to the back of the cupboard. Over the last few years, after having a lot of 'the latest coffee gadgets' I've gone back to the stove top percolator and wonder why I ever left it behind. Lose power? Gas out? This one can be used on a camp stove or right on the coals of a fire. Hefty. Easy to use. You won't believe how well it makes coffee.

I went camping with all my girlfriends. . And I cannot live without coffee in the morning so I had purchased this product. I did add a little more coffee grounds than what was recommended cuz I like my coffee strong. it was easy to use . Once coffee starting to percolate and you could see it through the clear Knob I let it percolate for 5 to 10 minutes the coffee seem to get darker through that clear knob once it was circulating. The coffee came out great easy to use
