Used these with the CRL Professional glass cutter oil, to cut a hole in the bottom of a really thick bottle. It worked very well. Highly recommend these for cutting holes in glass bottles. I used it in a hand held drill at a lower speed, and only took about one minute to cut through one half inch thickness of glass.

Hard to go wrong with these cheap hole saws if your expectations are in-line with their price. I have bought four different versions of these and all have performed as expected: which is getting one to a few cuts from each saw (depending on the material being cut). Go slow, use lots of water and some kind of guide to get started, treat them as consumables, and you’ll have a satisfying experience.

I recently purchased an RO system for our house and needed to drill a hole through the granite to install the faucet. I was pretty nervous about destroying our very expensive countertop, but used a jig to hold the drill bit in place, and once I got the hole started it was breeze. Just took it slow and steady with plenty of water. Surround the area your drilling with plumbers putty and fill the created basin with water. Super easy. Saved me alot of money from having a plumber or the granite installers come back out.

Perfect for drilling holes in glass. I learned that pyrex bowls break / crack when hole goes through. Of course, use plenty of water to keep the bit cool and clean.

worked great in drilling holes in my wine bottles, can't beat the price

Let me start out by saying these are not the best diamond bits out there. The grit is pretty rough. As a result, holes tend to be a little sloppy. However, as a value proposition, I don't know how they could be beat. They arrived in a relatively simple, yet useful molded plastic package. Many companies place their products in packaging that requires you to destroy it in order to open it. This makes using it to then store the product after use impossible. Glad to see Tacklife didn't go this route. While it's not as nice as an actual case, it's better than what some competing products come in. I haven't tried this product on glass or granite, but they made nice holes in some very tough porcelain tile. Ceramic so tough that some normal carbide tipped "glass and tile" bits only scratched the surface. Very interestingly, they almost seemed to cut better after about 5 holes. When using the product, I made sure to keep a steady drip of water going for lubrication, and kept the RPMs down. By doing this, after a half-dozen holes, they were still going strong. My only complaint, and it's not enough to knock a star-off, is the fact they're only sold in metric sizes. I needed a 5/16" hole, so I went with the 8mm bit. This is technically about .1mm off. Good enough when you're using anchors. But be careful if you really need SAE/US sizing. ***My Rating Criteria*** Build Quality(47.5%) - 5.0 Stars Efficacy(47.5%) - 5.0 Stars Post-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/a Packaging/Presentation(5.0%) - 5.0 Stars WEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 5.0 STARS

I used the same bid 6 times on a very thick jar in order to make these costume made lanterns and I was amazed by the bid. Traditionally cutting glass has been a pain but with these it was fast and easy. Here are a few tips: - use water on the glass while drilling with these bids to prevent it from over heating or cracking - use safety goggles and protective gear, glass mixed with water forms a mud that cuts skin on impact - Use respirator, this risk is low if you use sufficient amount of water, but generally you don't want to inhale glass dust - patience! - cover things you don't want to be covered by glass mud, with paper towels, it will get everywhere. - it could be messy! Take these precautions and enjoy the amazing work these bids do for you! If you are interested in making lanterns like mine, check me out on thingiverse to get the files for how to make this lantern. Worked well. It would be nice if this set came with a guide. The bits wander quite a bit as expected. But still did the job.Using on a drill press would be optimal for no wandering but you can't be adding water quite so easily.

I saw a presentation on YouTube that features this set of hole cutters. Amazing to be able to pit a neat little hole in glass, ceramic, tile... And the supplier fulfilled the order very quickly. I am planning on turning a large glass in into an ice tea dispenser... and I need a small hole for the spigot. Thank you
