After reading several of these reviews, I was nervous that my product would also arrive defective, not turning off like several people on here have stated. I received mine and once installing the batteries, I turned it on. Works great! Pressed the power button to turn it off. It turned off. I moved the "lock" switch and turned it on. It turned on! I hit the power button to turn it off. It did not turn off. It instead, switched modes. I turned the lock switch to unlock and tried to turn it off. Magically it worked, just like it's supposed to and turned off! The product is not faulty. The people that can't figure out how to turn this off probably shouldn't be doing any tasks that require the use of this in the first place. They're doing well just to get out of bed in the morning. Buy with confidence, and hopefully you're smarter than this complicated object.

Price is right?

First off please buy the 3x360 laser instead of this one if you have the money floor squaring is worth every penny, but back to this laser, for the money worth every penny so far, I’ve used it around the house to level pictures and such, I use it every chance I can and it seems to work great especially with a tripod Negatives: 1. Uses std aa batteries ( if you buy the 3x360 it comes with a rechargeable battery) 2. I don’t think it’s as durable as a DeWalt laser I’ve used these at work but on the other hand they are way more expensive so you get what you pay for Overall for me a DIY specialist the laser is a must and this one gets the job done for the right price

Best bang for the buck

I have used other similar lasers in the past at work and I wanted one of my own for a few projects in my home without breaking the bank. After doing some research I found the Huepar Self-Leveling 360 Laser Level 902CG. As soon as it arrived I put it to work framing a TV mount for my home theater. The next use was to align and hang a Scrabble art piece my wife had made (see picture). This is where having a vertical and horizontal line at the same time made a big difference. It was a real time saver and my hands were free to hang the pieces. I especially like the base versatility. You can set it on a surface, hang it, mount to tripods, or stick it to metal surface using the magnets in the base. Using quality alkaline batteries I haven't had any issues with run time or brightness issues so far. I have used it in low light to bright areas for several projects other than the ones mentioned with no issues. The only thing I can see being an issue would be the line thickness if you have certain situations where you need your measurements to be within <1/16" . Other than that if your looking to buy an auto leveling laser and want to save $$ I would recommend this product. I wish I had this tool years ago and I am always looking for more ways to use it and the other features it has i.e. locking laser, strobing, etc.

was going to buy a $1,000 level. This new green thing will serve just fine till i'm ready to upgrade. And with unlimited slope capability? Can do things for my boat building layouts many of the $1,000 levels can't.

Daylight use tip

Excellent quality product. This has saved hours and hours of leveling and string pulling as well as simple tile setting and wall hangings. A tip for using the supplied green panel detector... and able to clearly see it in daylight you have to have your eyes level with where the laser hits it in order to see their reflection. You may get frustrated if you're standing up trying to see it at an angle you won't see it. It would be nice if the laser could be a tad brighter but for the money it is an excellent choice will definitely buy it again should something happen to this one.

This tool works great for cabiner installs or hanging pictures on a wall.

Installed a set of kitchen cabinets using this and was a life saver. I used it to even mark where the studs were when screwing in cabinets to wall by aiming the vertical light on the mark which shined from floor to ceiling showing easily where to put screws. It made leveling cabinets and plumbing cabinets so much simpler. Batteries didn't last long and kept cutting out the light vs the instructions that said the light will dim when batteries got weak. So no weakness but only kept cutting out light. Love the bright green light instead of older less bright red lasers. It self levels very well and was very accurate and dependable. Would buy again if needed.

Excellent quality tool

For this low price I was not expecting professional level tool. But it performs at an equivalent level as much higher priced laser levels that I use at my job. I bought this for private use and so far, I am very happy with it. The green lines are also much easier to see than lasers that project red lines. The tool has a solid feel. I would recommend using the green laser enhancement glasses sold by the same manufacturer to further enhance line visibility, even though that is not necessary for interior work.

Works well - green laser easier to see

This crossline level has impressed me with excellent value and function. Green laser is easier to see at longer distances. Visibility can be challenging at longer distances outdoors in full daylight but that's the nature of laser levels anywhere near this budget friendly price point. I also bought the laser sensor that can attach to a grade stake. With that sensor, I've used this setup to reliably check grade in a 100 ft radius of the laser in bright sunlight. While I haven't had the need yet, I believe it will work as represented out to 150 ft in reasonable conditions. This tool has easily saved enough time to justify it's cost - in the first few uses.

Super bright light! Great magnetic mount!

this light has worked perfectly on construction sites in full daylight and still have great visibility of the laser. great replacement for my old red beam laser that only worked at dusk!! the rare earth magnetic mount was a delightful surprise and its super strong. great for working in commercial sites with metal studs!

Incredible value! Don't buy a brand name level!

Accurate lines that I checked with a gravity level. The price of this is amazing compared to what you would get with some of the other standard brand names. Performs well. I saw a few videos from buyers who thought they couldn't turn it off but they were doing it wrong. It doesn't come with very good instructions, but its also not at all hard to figure out. If you're a professional, I don't know if there are other things that you would be looking for, but for my applications in the hobby shop, around the yard, and in the house, this thing is amazing. **UPDATE: liked it so much I bought a second one as a gift for my brother when I saw that he could use one for a project he was working on.
