It is LARGE

It is LARGE, just what I wanted! I have only used it a few times, once to make a whole chicken and twice to make large amount of soup. It will come in handy to take to family gatherings since taking a 18 quart electric roaster was to big, and a regular crock pot was too small. Happy with it so far. It has standard controls which is also nice to take to gatherings so anyone will know how to set it, as opposed to digital settings.

Great for Slow Cocking Turkey!

This size crockpot fitted my 12lbs perfectly with some room for vegetables too! Love it!

Great Family Size Slow Cooker

Product delivered much earlier than estimated delivery date. Well packed. I have been using a Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker for years. It is a much smaller model. We were looking for a larger capacity one and this spacious 10 quart model fits the bill. Easy to clean and use.

Works great for a small turkey

We bought this to cook an approximately 10 lb. turkey. It worked great. I love the latch down lid. We did not have to be concerned about the contents of the pot spilling out while we drove to the family dinner.

Fantastic Product for the Price Range

I bought this Hamilton Beach slow cooker at a very good price when Amazon had a coupon. It was such a good deal, in fact, that I didn't expect a whole lot of the product. I have to say that it has since blown me away. A large pork roast for which the recipe said to cook for 6-8 hours took a mere 4 hours on the high setting. For those who can't be home to turn meals off when they're done, there is also a low setting for slower cooking. I also love that this slow cooker has a Keep Warm setting as well. Perfect for when you want to enjoy a second helping later in the evening. No more storing up leftovers right away for later reheating. The crock is large, which makes for a bit of a challenge washing it in the sink, but I've found it wipes clean pretty easily, without need for much scrubbing. I would buy this product again, even without the coupon, and I'm a huge bargain shopper. So that says a lot.

When I make my "Mountain Man Chili", I make a lot more of it!

Every Winter, my best friend invites us over for a "Guy's Day at the Lake" to do a little ice-fishing. For the past 6 years, I've always used a 5 qt crock pot to make my chili. So, instead of running out early in the day, I can now make double the chili in the same amount of time, and still have some leftover for work. Really love the fact that the pot & cover now has locking latches to help keep the cover in place while transporting! Be warned though: 10 qts. of chili will double the weight of pot!!!

Just the right size. I was using a 6qt and it would end up filled to the top. This makes enough for about 7 or eight people depending on what you are making. I make a lot of soups and chili but plan on using it for other recipes as well. The interior crock is a glossy black, I have found that even when I clean it there seems to be a discoloration in the interior of it. I have not used anything harsh to clean it as I did not want to scratch it. I use green Palmolive dish soap. It does not affect the cooking of it, and you don't see it when it has stuff in it cooking, just when it is empty. Really that would be my only negative as it functions perfectly and otherwise looks great. The additional knob to keep warm in addition to the low,high and off knobs are nice too, especially if you don't want something to cook more just stay warm till you serve it. I also like that is has knobs as some electronic controls can be more likely to malfunction.

Heats quickly and consistently

My daughter purchased this for me for Mother's Day off of my Amazon wishlist. It heats up quickly and consistently and is the perfect size for the half-recipes I make. Materials are good quality and the craftsmanship seems good as well.

You won't be disappointed

This is the second one like this that I have ordered. I loved my first one so I ordered the same one again as a replacement. I love how big it is, so I can easily cook all of my family's favorite dishes, including pot roast and still have plenty of room for all of the veggies! If you are looking for a crock pot that will hold more than the average, this is the one!
