This is a beautiful grill. It took me approximately three hours to put it together because I was doing it alone. There are two pieces that are somewhat heavy for a woman. I was able to pick up the drum but was unable to attach the smoker. It was too heavy to hold up and screw in. Nevertheless it looks great and I can't wait to use it for the holidays tomorrow. Would definitely recommend. I also had to take it apart and put it back together a few times because some of the parts I put on backwards. But I was determined to finish it in one attempt.

This is a nice smoker and it is large enough for a crowd of people whether you use it as a smoker or a grill. The only flaw I see is when you see it comes you have to seal the cracks in it to get a good seal for smoking.

Bought for my Dad this Fathers day. He loves it! He's big on Barbequing and here in California, we can basically do it year around. So, he gets a lot of use. This is, however, his first Smoker and he has already smoked 2 whole chickens and a 4lb tri-tip. He is enjoying the versatility and we are loving his cooking. Easy to season, just like my cast iron skillets. Easy to put together also. No professional assembly needed. This is built well also. I bought him one, paid good money for a brand name and the wheels came off quickly. So, he had to prop a piece of plywood under where the wheel used to be. This one is sturdy, no cheap wheels or parts.

Great looking unit. Assembly was very easy and took less than 2 hours. Other reviewers have mentioned issues installing the smokestack, trouble because the parts are not labeled, or other assembly problems. All of these can only be explained as inexperience with parts assembly, as the instructions are very plain and straight forward (it’s nothing but diagrams, and the numbers are all indexed in the front of the instructions). If you have experience with hand tools and assembly diagrams, you’ll be fine. If not, call your buddy that is good with tools to help, or pay the “expert installation” fee. Do not attempt if this is the first product you have ever assembled. As for using the grill, it’s a great setup with HUGE capacity. Perfect for direct grilling or offset smoking. Like most smokers this style, it is not completely air tight so smoke leaks a little. This is normal and expected. The important thing is that the design allows even distribution throughout the entire smoking chamber, keeping the foods smoking evenly. Really nice unit. I would definitely buy again!

I'm happy with unit, keep in mind you install the smoke stack from the inside not the outside. Just like anyothere smoker you need to use rtv silicone to seal this unit and seal on doors. Great for the money..

I replaced my last small charbroil grill with this baby and am so glad I upgraded, for a family of 6 and family cookouts for birthdays I needed more grill surface and this 40 inch works great. The offset smoker was a great addition and cooks great food with awesome flavor, my last grill lasted 10 Years outside all year long no cover and frequent use, feel like this one is built a little better. Some seems that rusted on the old one have been manufactured differently on this grill, I belive to correct those rust issues, looks great and feels solid, time will tell!

Haven't used it yet there are no issues with the chimney... other reviewers are not installing it properly. The chimney is to be put on from the inside the flange goes inside and not outside. You do not need to drill new holes just follow the directions. I will update after I season and use it a few times.

Works great just as good as the expensive brands out there. easy to assemble 👍👍

Great smoker for the price

Bought this smoker to replace one that I wore out after many years of use. Originally, I replaced my first Char-Broil Offset Firebox smoker with a fancy, stainless electric smoker. That smoker worked fine, but I missed the involvement with the smoking process and so I sold that one and purchased this. Call me crazy but I love tending to the charcoal fire, the wood chunks, and occasionally rotating the ribs or whatever I happen to be cooking. If you like to be involved with your smoking, I'd definitely recommend this unit.
