Vurry sharp
Excellent knife for the money! It’s not real damascus but has a faux print emulating the appearance. Comes super sharp and hold edge well. Still haven’t needed to sharpen 2mths into use.

Bought this for my son and his wife as Christmas gift for 2017. Knife is excellent quality and comes razor sharp! I did a quick test on my arm hair (how I test every new knife) and it shaved off a section with ease. Of course, I cleaned it before it was gifted, but I had to know how sharp it was!

It's a sharp knife with patterns, which gives me a cheerful mood of cooking after work. The handle is made of wood, and the connectiob is strong enough to cut everything. I can cut the beef into very slight pieces with this knife. I have stored my old knife bought from TJmaxx into the cabinet. LOL.

Beautiful and Sturdy knife
I purchased this as an extra Christmas present for my husband. It wasn't anything we were looking for. When he opened it up he was amazed. He has to show everyone that comes to our house. He uses it almost everyday. We are looking forward to buying more. I still cannot believe how much he loves it - he is very particular with his knives. He says this is the best knife he has ever owned. He is very impressed with the inlay and design. This is a great product and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A bit better than expected.
This knife was a little better than I expected for the price. I have used it for a couple weeks now. It has a perfectly straight blade when carefully viewed along the edge. Out of the box its sharpness is as good as it gets. The handle quality is excellent and comfortable. The weight is a nice balance, fairly light and nimble, but I prefer kitchen knives that aren't too heavy. The 'Damascus' pattern is not real, but I knew this buying it. My only concern would be how the edge holds-up after a year. I have a feeling that it isn't the toughest steel, but I think for the price you can't go wrong, you'll be happy with this knife.

Second Best Knife in the Kitchen!
Of the dozens of knives in my kitchen, this one is second only to a Wusthof Classic Icon hollow ground 8" chef knife. But that knife cost me over a hundred bucks more! Blade is embossed or etched to appear as a Damascus blade, which looks kinda cheesy. But it's a quality piece of stainless. Perfect profile with a nice rocking curve. A great knife with good heft, nicely balanced. Comfortable handle. I might buy a back-up. Comes in a nice gift box, and has a rugged plastic sheath for the very sharp blade. Excellent value.

So Beautiful and Sharp
My last chef's knife chipped and I was left with no workable knife for cooking. I search Amazon, since Sur La Table and other similar stores had very high prices. After searching I found this knife and ordered it. Gorgeous. the blade is stunning, the handle is too. It came with a blade guard and a in a box (perfect for a gift but I'm not giving this one away)! On the 4th of July I was tasked with making potato salad for 21 people. When I started cutting the russet potatoes I had to check that they hadn't gone soft or were rotted..The knife just slid through these big potatoes. Sharpest knife I have ever used. My favorite Amazon purchase his year.

I’m Japanese chef, I have over 20 knifes for work all of them is Japanese each one cost $150-$600. I bought 3 of this for myself and co workers (Japanese chefs) best knife for the price $25. If you know how to sharpen knives, you must buy this. good enough for home cooking. This is good for vegetables, meat, regular cutting not for fish filet nor sashimi for work.Blade is wide.

A great value. This knife is incredibly sharp, feels good in the hands, and handles wonderfully. While it isn't a true layered knife (the pattern is etched on), it seems to be a good quality steel and holds it's edge well. In fact when using it to scoop up chopped vegetables I had to be careful as the knife kept trying to shave a thin layer off of my wood chopping board. I have several Japanese knives made in the traditional manner costing several hundreds of dollars and this knife performs as well as they do. I am ordering a couple more to give a Christmas presents.
