I'm a huge fan of command hooks, and I've been using the small clear hooks (and these strips) to hang kitchen utensils in my last five apartments. Keeping my utensils on the wall saves valuable kitchen space and makes them easier to access. I also use these hooks for various other purposes around the apartment. They're wonderful.

I just moved to a new apartment, and these little guys have been a lifesaver. They are sturdy enough to mount hooks for small things around the apartment like towels, my broom, a dustpan, my belts in the closet, etc. Fortunately, they are also cheap enough that I don't feel guilty using them as a temporary placeholder to store things until I figure out a longer-term solution.

I love command strips - I have used everything from the cord clips, to the velcro, to the traditional hooks and have really enjoyed all of them. I ordered these specifically to install a wireless doorbell next to my front door. The doorbell came with 3M mounting tape, but experience has taught me that stuff can be a beast to remove. I figured I'd check to see if command strips came in an outdoor version, and wouldn't you know, they do! So far the doorbell has been up a few weeks. In that time it has been heavily used by my UPS guy and the neighbor kids, been exposed to rainfall and my sprinklers, and sat in full sun for hours and hours - the strips are holding strong. I did leave a little portion of the tab peeking out from behind the doorbell (so I could get to it to remove it someday), but since it's white, it matches my trim and isn't noticeable at all.

These Command Brand Refill Strips are one product that actually work as advertised and promised. Buying these in bulk packages, brings the pricing down to a very low level. I use these Command Brand Hook Systems for all sorts of uses around my house and even in my vehicle. Eugene A. Bennett

In college, about six years ago, I bought four sets of 3 Command Strip picture hangers. I also bought an extra pack of command strip adhesive refills back then, and have been using them ever since. This is my fourth move, and I still have the original sets of picture hangers--often the hangers will last longer than a crumbly plaster wall or poorly-painted drywall! I've also bought two more sets, along with a few other 3M hangers, like cable holders, which use the same size of adhesive strips. These strips are incredibly easy to use, and always come off easily, as long as your wall was painted well, and doesn't have paint that peels off the wall! I've used them on brick (inside), painted drywall, painted plaster, and plastic surfaces, and it seems to work very well. Two times things hung with command strips fell off the wall, and both times it was because the paint had flaked off the wall. I have recommended 3M Command Strips to many friends, especially in situations where nails are either not allowed or the hangings are temporary (less than a year or two).

In a nutshell, the white strips outperform the clear strips because their thicker design reduces potentially damaging user error upon removal. Further, big projects takes less time to complete using the white strips rather than the clear ones, because they can be used to hold things much sooner after they've been positioned on the wall. I had some clear cord clips that I was using for a very large project (Command Round Cord Clips, Clear, 10-Clip). Even though the clips came with extra strips (2 extra per 10 clips), the project required about 90 clips and took several days to complete. I had never used Command products before, and at first I was wasting a lot of strips experimenting. So, I severely misjudged the, "waste factor," and ordered a this pack of refills to have on hand. Of course, as the project took form I got better with planning (or something) and became less wasteful. I had a premature senior moment (I'm not THAT old) and accidentally ordered these white strips instead of the exact replacement, which would have been Command Small Refill Strips, Clear, 12-Strip, 6-Pack. Later I was glad that I had made the mistake, because I learned that the white strips perform better than the clear strips do. Let me explain. The white ones adhere more quickly (shorter setting time before usage) and yet once cured, they are removed more easily and with less potential for damage. Unfortunately, I tried to remove one of the adherent (meaning one that was stuck to the wall for many hours before its 1st use) that had been secured to the wall with a clear adhesive strip and I wasn't careful enough. I pulled the tab at a very slight angle away from the wall (WHICH IS VERY CLEARLY INADVISABLE ACCORDING TO THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS), and it removed a small chip of paint with it - my fault not the product's. The white ones are easier to remove without accidentally pulling at an angle because they are spongy and thicker (like regular double-stick foam tape) so they start out a few mm from the wall. Hard to describe, but the clear stips are flatter (like double-stick Scotch Tape), and thus lie flatter on your wall. Unless you are VERY careful, it's difficult to pull absolutely against the wall. Tweezers, or some such tool, might help there. Note about, "curing time," : The directions that came with the clear hooks/clear strips combo instruct the user not to use the clips to hold anything until they have been stuck to the wall for at least 1 hour. My specific, albeit odd, application actually required the adhesive to set 3-6 hours before I could really use the clips. I suspect that this is because I was using the clips to tension the wires they were securing, thus requiring them to hold fast under torque (the wire had to curve around doorways and such). So, I've named that 3-6 hour time frame, "curing time." When switching to the white adhesive strips, I didn't re-read their assumed similar directions, and found that they could withstand my torque application at curing times less than the suggested 1 hour.

The best invention ever! If you follow the application instructions and clean the area it stays put. We've removed a few when we changed the layout of our photo wall and they came off without a problem. Again, be sure to follow the instructions when removing these - pull down, not up or towards you.

What can I say? They stick well, are clear so you can put posters on windows and they remove easily leaving no residue behind. What more can some seeking a good poster adhesive ask for!

When I saw these strips as a Daily Deal I had to snap some up. I use these in rather large quantities in dorm rooms and apartments and cannot recommend them enough. They don't strip paint from walls and they will stick to anything. I've used these clips to hang Christmas lights, artwork, posters and even tapestries. The refill strips are such a great buy because they allow you to reuse the hooks and clips you've already purchased. This is a great price for these command strips as well. Shipping was great and my package arrived on time. Highly recommend these.

I get A LOT of use out of these refill strips and rely on them heavily to keep the clips for the cords to my three under cabinet lights above my kitchen counter top tidy and out of sight. They're also good for a different kitchen use. My OXO Good Grips Multi-purpose Stainless Steel Scraper & Chopper, that I stored in the narrow space between the stove and the counter top, was too easily forgotten after I purchased this white More Counter Space. It fits well into two Command Round Cord Clips (17017CLR-10ES) where I can grab it to transfer cut up veggies & fruit to their destinations. Mounted vertically on the side of the refrigerator the round clip holds the pencil I use to coax the remainder of the dust & debris wedged at the side of the canister of the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum (NV360) from the canister into the kitchen waste basket. The refill strips are also responsible for keeping my Ozeri ZK14-S Pronto Digital Multi-function Kitchen and Food Scale, that I use at least twice daily, up off the counter. Three Command Mini Hooks, Clear, (17006CLR-ES), two on the wall to hold 2 plastic rods (short lengths of wire coat hanger also make good rods) that hook #3 on the scale's underside hooks over. I checked with Ozeri before I hung it several years ago and it's working fine!
