Take my advice and just take the HVAC controls off the dash and bring them inside where you can work with more room. Also. These are universal fit bulbs, you need to take a razor blade and trim the little hook that hooks to your HVAC board. DONT use a screw driver to tighten the new bulbs. Use a needle noose pliers. I promise it makes it so much easier. It almost feels like you're gonna break something when you tighten them down. In the end, it all works.

These are polarity sensitive

These LED lights are polarity sensitive, however they are not marked + or -. I used a fine dot of fingernail polish in line with the trademark to provide a position reference on the light base. What I do like is that they are so much brighter than the original lamps, which left the heater controls lacking nighttime illumination. Now I can see the control symbols very well with a quick glance for situational recognition. I received 4 lamps in the package, used 3 with one left over. Thanks!!!

Work great! Pay attention to the instructions....

After purchasing other aftermarket non-LED replacements that failed within a month (plastic bases on the lamps melt / bend, causing the lamp to stop making contact), and NOT being willing to spend the $15-per-lamp price at the dealer, I tried these. And I'm delighted! When I first installed them, not one of them worked... BUT, if you read the instructions, they make it clear the lamps have polarity (a positive / negative), which means it matters which way they are installed... so, I just switched them, and they worked perfectly, and seem to be lasting (after a few months at this point). Highly recommended!

I had only one bulb working on stock ac display, these were very easy to install, and look great. The reviews that said they needed needle nose pliers to put them in, well they must of had some very pointy needle nose cause mine didn’t work. I was able to just use a flat head and turn the old ones out and new ones in. I didn’t get the right polarity the first time but after a quick rotate it looks great. I have ordered the replacement lights for the gauge cluster as well and hope to have the same success.

Very bright over stock bulbs.

The led bulbs were very easy to install. Light up my heater ac control very brightly. Better then the old incandescent bulbs did. Only problem is now the control looks blue instead of green. Guess I will have to try green leds. Oh by the way the leds are polarity sensitive. I put mine in all the wrong way the first time. If they don't light after you put them in take them out and rotate them 180 degrees. That should fix the problem. Like these alot.

Tips for Install

Like the other reviews have said, you will need to use a pocketknife and lightly scrape the notches that hold the bulbs to the control board. Also, make sure to only use needlenose pliers in the openings on the back of the bulbs, as a screwdriver will damage them. To check if they work, make sure to plug in BOTH of the plugs to the back of the module. The lights will not turn on with only one of the plugs in the back.. If they don’t work, flip them around and try again. Overall a pretty easy install! It’ll feel as though they are going to break when twisting them on, but they won’t as long as you’re careful.

These lights rule!

I installed these in my 2008 Ram 1500. The lights on my AC control panel starting going out one bulb at a time, until the panel went completely dark. Found this kit. I can now see the panel lit during the day. At night it is glorious. Highly recommended.

Highly reccomend.

They're bright and I got lucky on the polarity first try, I didn't have to spin them and try again. I'm not sure if it's just a problem my truck has but 2 of the 3 "tick marks" on the knobs don't light up very bright. Not sure why but I'm not too upset about it since I couldn't even see them with the factory bulbs.

Awesome less expensive vibrant

Awesome lights, bright tone, easy to install. Very satisfied with product and will order more and also refer to customers at my shop. Was also hoping that this product might be available in green. I am overall extremely happy with purchase it helps provide the perfect amount of light to see my once dysfunctional ac panel. Quick fix.

Extend the chip for 100% contact

U need to push out the metal clip or it wont work. Then I put a small amount or superglue to hold it in place just to be safe. If I knew the first time I needed to push out the metal chips so it can make contact everything would be good. Over all good still working super bright.
