Better than Apple cords

My Apple lightning cord stopped working (what a shocker), so I needed a new one. I gave this cord a chance, and I'm very impressed. It's significantly more durable than the standard Apple brand cord. And, the Apple standard cord never synced my iphone properly with my car. This cord DOES sync up my phone to the car. Quick vent: Apple brand cords stink. They wear out after a few months of use, especially if you plug and unplug it a lot. This Amazon brand cord is significantly better quality than Apple's. I highly recommend you use this cord instead of Apple's.

I have reviewed this product based on durability, appearance, and overall quality. If you have an iPhone and are looking for a long and reliable charger, this is the product for you. Amazon Basics has provided a product that goes above just charging your phone. This ten-foot charger is long enough for you to comfortably charge your phone anywhere. Its universal USB port can plug into computers, cars, and adaptors for wall outlets. This makes charging your phone possible in any situation. The charging cord itself is extremely durable. It is tough, but flexible at the same time. This will prevent your cord from fraying at the edges and the wires from getting twisted inside. This cord is so durable because it is made with double braided nylon. It is strong and will last a long time. The Amazon Basics cord will definitely be worth spending a little more money on rather than buying a cheaper one and having to replace it within a year. A Velcro strap is also attached to this cord for your convenience. If you do not need the full length of the cord, you can wrap it up in the Velcro and it will be out of the way. The cord also comes in five different colors. The color does not affect the quality of the charging cord, it is just personal preference. There are also different lengths that the cord comes in. If you do not want a ten-foot cord, you can purchase it in a three-foot, six-foot, or four-inch version. Personally, I would recommend the ten-foot one because then you will have extra if it is needed. Plus, with the Velcro strap that was mentioned before, if the excess cord is not needed, it can be neatly wrapped up to make the cord the length you want. This product is also Apple certified so you do not need to worry about your phone going bad because of a charger. Overall, I highly recommend this charger. It goes above and beyond expectations and is great quality for your money.

This cable blows Apple out of the water

This cable blows what you can get at Apple out of the water it’s durable and it’s even longer then the longest lighting cable you can buy at the Apple store. It’s bulletproof and it came with a velcro tie to creep it together I zip tied it to my cable so I can’t loose it and man it’s an Awsome cable. So far so awesome, with one concern

So far, these things are just what I've been wanting: a cord that feels solid, looks good and won't need replacing in 3 months. The price is higher but my hope is I won't have to buy them as often. I like the red version I got - it's a nice color and sheen to the cabling. Of course, they're STIFF - at least so far. Not sure you can work around that with a more durable cable. Only concern is that the fit doesn't seem as tight as other cables. This might be a design feature or it might be a flaw. You definitely couldn't pick up your phone from the cable - not that you should in the first place. They just seem a little loosey-goosey in the port. Haven't fallen out by accident yet though. Highly recommend.

It's Hot!

What could be hotter than a bright red double braided cable? We've all got a rats nest of stiff black cables. Why not have one that stands out from the rest? Not just red but Bright Red. and Braided! A very stylish industrial look. First: It works. It does what it is supposed to do. Second: It is more flexible than any other cable I own. Third: It comes with a flexible ribbon thing -- sort of a tie-wrap -- that can be used to keep the wire coiled up when you don't need the whole length. This may be the best feature of this item. I use it in my car where it tends to get moved around a lot but stays connected. And the color matches the car's interior. A fashion/design statement :)

Forgot how long six feet is...

I bought this when the charging cord that came with the phone unraveled. So far it's stood up to the heavy usage of myself and my visitors. 6 ft was too long to keep in my purse so I leave this one at home for those who need a charge but also can't keep their hands off their device for long. It's been at least two months now and I am completely satisfied. I even purchased a 3 ft cord for traveling with.

An inexpensive LIGHTNING non iPhone-APPLE charger will STOP charging within weeks of purchase.

Unlike all gas station iPhone charges...this product charges. Ive found regardless if a charger is a "lightning," if its not a specific iPhone charger, your iPhone is able to distinguish iPhone chargers from cheaper chargers...the phone can distinguish the difference. A lightning gas station will charge your phone a dozen times give or take...THEN your iPhone will no longer recognize charger and phone will NO LONGER charge. I had made the mistake of buying 5 or 6 cheap "lightning" chargers. They ALL stopped working after several weeks. A techntold menthe iPhone sends a signal and only an iPhone aka APPLE charger will accept signal.

No Complaints

I really like the Amazon Basics brand, and I have bought a lot of things that they sell. I have tried and liked a lot of cords over the years, and some I liked a lot, but they didn’t last, so I decided to try the Basics cords. I bought the ten foot one, and the six foot one. The ten foot cord is awesome, but make sure you have the room to stretch it out because otherwise, the cord tends to twist on itself. It doesn’t affect the charging ability at all for me, and I haven’t experienced any problems with it, but it is annoying to untangle it. I use that one in my bedroom, and I have one of the six foot ones in the family room for my use, and I just bought another six foot cord for the den. We have a lot of electronics and so does my family, so when they come to visit, they appreciate that the cords are here in case they forgot to bring some. Mostly I use them to charge my iPhone and iPad, and they have worked well. The connection is nice and snug, and no shorts. I’m happy with my purchases, and the extra price is worth it to me. The cords are sturdy and well made, and have been reliable. My experience has been that when a cord has problems, I generally find that out in the first week. I have had my cords for awhile, and so far they are as good as the day I bought them. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again. If I have problems, I will update to reflect that, but I don’t anticipate any problems. This was a good buy for me.

Great length and it lasts

I love these chargers. Their length is perfect and they ACTUALLY last... they don't stop working after a couple months of use. I had one for over 2 years and the only reason I got a new one is because I left my old one out in the rain. Buy it!
