The right system for dual dog walking

I've tried several systems for walking our two dogs (about 20 pounds each) and this one is the best. It has a long enough main leash (note: you can detach it and use an extendable version if you prefer) to keep your dogs happy. Also, the two side by side leashes allow your dogs to walk away...but be pulled back if they stray too far. There are so many ways to use this-I've even sent the two dogs off together without the main leash-they love it. It comes with two bonus items: a clicker that is supposed to provide positive reinforcement (my dogs prefer actual treats) and a dog poop bag holder. In summary, this is the best system I've found so far for walking two dogs and is an excellent value as well.

Perfect leash

I love this thing. I had one of those dual, retractable leashes, and I have the type of maniac dogs that like to cross NON STOP, so the retractable was tangling. Not to mention, the "stop" mechanism broke almost immediately, so I couldn't rein them in if they darted after a squirrel or whatever. So, I got this leash to purposely curb some of that behavior. Because the slack they get is a lot less, my dogs have actually become much calmer to walk, and cross a LOT less. It doesn't matter that they do cross, because the leash never tangles or gets wound up anyway. AND, since the individual leads stretch a little, if they want to go a little off course, they can, but it also has a gentle tug to remind them to come back. The poop bag is whack, as the clasp is so plastic-y that it doesn't fully close, and constantly falls off the leash, but who cares; you can get those things literally at the dollar store. So far so good with this leash.

Great buy

This is great. Plenty of space between you and the split and between both dogs. You can easily grab the t area as well if you need to bring them closer in tight areas or crowded places. If you pay attention then your two dogs won't get tangled up ever. The swivel does an excellent job. The bungee pull makes it easy to tug back lightly to refocus or help a pup stop pulling without a cruel full jerk to the neck. If you are too busy on your phone though you earn the tangle mess that even the bungee notifies you is about to happen. Dogs sniff and go different directions.

I would give it 6 stars if I could!

A couple of negative reviews had me worried, but I decided to give it a try. I have a 50lb Pit and an 85lb German Shepard to walk for a week, and I only have one good arm. I already had a double-dog leash, but had left it somewhere. My problem with it was the pulling, when one dog moved quickly, the other would get jerked. So this leash looked interesting. It worked great! Forget the no tangle, the stretching of the leash enabled me to preempt the jerk by pulling back on the lead dog. Eventually they just walked together nicely and respected each other's space. Used it 4 times so far, and I cannot say enough about how much I like it. The extra stuff that came with it was a bonus, and it looks like quality material to me.

This leash is FANTASTIC! I have a 70 lb dog and a 26 lb dog, and they can now walk together without problem. The stretchy part of the leash makes a huge difference in absorbing the shock from sudden moves. The handle part is quite comfortable. This leash has made walking the dogs so much easier. I was a little worried about how it would work with a big dog and a medium dog on the same leash, but it's been great.

No More Dogs Tripping Each Other

Holds up to my two pit bulls yanking on it, and they weigh 53 and 40 lbs and are chunks of muscle. Way better than them getting all tangled up when we walk together.

Good tandem lead with good control

One of my two dogs recently lost his eyesight due to SARDS, and walking him along with my other pup had become pretty difficult as he has become very tentative and cautious and was lagging far behind. Using this lead has helped quite a bit in getting him moving along a little better, as he now needs to keep pace with the other dog. The bungee allows for a decent amount of play between the two when one or the other lags. Working well for me so far
