It Works! Even better with a few adjustments.
Okay! Good buy for $36.00. So here goes. Bought to strap to my backpack as we hike the Camino De Santiago in Spain. It's very light. Might donate it to a school before I leave Europe. I traced a line on the bridge to the shape and height I like and shaved it down. Then made grooves in the bridge for the strings with a set of "cutting torch tip cleaners" (small round files). Also filed new grooves in the nut to spread the strings a little wider to make it easier for me to play. The nut isn't too pretty with extra grooves but it adds character. Next I sanded the feet of the bridge to make them follow the contour of the top of the fiddle. You can buy sandpaper (maybe 120 grit) with an adhesive backing at the Ace Hardware (used on circular sanders). Cut a piece and stick it where the bridge will sit (between the inside notches of the "f" holes); hold the side of the bridge against a small square object; and sand the feet down until they match the top of the fiddle. Also put a little blackboard chalk on one of the tuning pegs to stop it from slipping. It has plenty of volume so you can hear yourself while playing in a jam session. Some harmonic overtone going on with C# while tuning the A string. I don't notice it when I'm playing. Maybe a little Calico thing going on. I like it fine. The top is a plywood and the black paint is a high gloss so maybe the slightly thick bridge keeps it from slipping out from under the strings (a scary sound). It's a good fiddle to practice your basic "luthier" skills (lol) and sound okay. Nobody noticed when I played it for a couple tunes at our local Saturday Farmers Market open jam. Cheers! PS: It survived the trip. I donated it to a local High School Americana Music Group. The music teacher was very pleased.

Great service
The violin came quick, I had a little issue that was mainly due to my lack of knowledge. I contacted the seller and with quick response I was able to get it to work. I like how the seller responed quickly and each time I emailed them. Great product my granddaughter loves it. Thanks

Well worth the price
For the price - this is just fine. Granted you're not going to play in an orchestra with it but it was more than enough to help me to decide that I did want to learn to play violin. The case is quite good - the case alone is worth the price. The weakest piece is the bow and even that is adequate. I will use it to practice and I know this summer I will play outside so I will continue to use it. I did apply a little chalk to the pegs so they didn't slip but that took 2 seconds and it now stays in tune.

Great value
Great instrument especially for the price. If your tuning pegs are loose, unwind a little and hold the string off to the side while tightening. Great sound now I just gotta learn how to play
