We just purchases this item about a month ago. We had an issue at the beginning where we couldn't have the scanner to work when trying to fill a field in our cloud-based inventory system. However, with the help of the vendor we were able to change the setting in the scanner app --> Output Mode --> and changed it from Broadcast mode to Keyboard mode which did the trick. We were also able to download "Null Keyboard" to avoid having the on-screen keyboard since all we need is the numbers pad which is part of the device. After these two changes we were able to easily train our employees on how to use the scanner to enter and update product with great ease. It is definitely worth every penny we spent on it, and the vendor "Mark" was more than willing to help us setup the device to our need. It does have lots of other great features such as that we are not using as of yet. Greatly recommended.

Custom firmware

Hi, We have purchased 7 of these devices and so far they have been great (just remember to peel off the sticker on the battery terminals) with plans to purchase more for some custom warehouse software we built, but we would like to change the boot logo from the munbyn logo to our own software logo, so you have a rooted or custom rom we can use to achieve this?

Excellent value and rock solid thus far

We are in the process of rolling out web-based apps for warehouse management functions with our ERP system, and we aren't willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars on handhelds that will be used for basic functions. All we need is the ability to use a web browser, scan barcodes, and enter data, generally numeric. We also aren't ready to install wi-fi in our warehouses, so we need to flexibility to use devices with cellular data plans. We've now acquired 8 of these MunByn units, and they've performed flawlessly, at a fraction of the price of competing brand-name units. Just bear in mind that these are entry level mobile devices. Their screens are pretty low-res, but they work for general needs. Just don't expect to be color-correcting photos and such or playing 3D games. Our favorite features are the easy to use scan, enter, and back button, right at the top of the keypad. Very handy, as they enable us to simulate an app-like environment within standard web pages. Overall, and excellent value!

Great design and function.

We use these for scanning bar codes and operating our ERP system in a metal shop. The units are very durable and perform as expected. I like the feature of the dock cradle as we have had direct plug in charged units in the past (another brand) and those charging ports all failed. The cradle also has a space to charge an extra battery for those oops moments. The scanners are reliable and fast to use. The seller has excellent communication and top notch service as well. We own over a dozen of these units. Highly recommend.
