Great thinking and building and design set

We first bought the original gears gears gears! set, and am happy with it. I decided to try this different brand though, because I liked the chain, and the price was much better than original set. I am very very happy with it, and it provides a greater thinking challenge to my 4 and 5 year olds, very excellent design, you can put something on every side! Would recommend for sure. We watched a video teaching the boys about gears and wheels and ratios, well off they go! Having loads of fun!

Great toy for my 2 yr old who loves gears and wheels

Great toy for mechanically minded kids. My 2 year old enjoyed it, even though I did most of the work building it! I had already ordered it before I read the reviews suggesting it was for older kids. So we didn’t end up giving to him at Christmas, however I just opened it now (early Feb) and I would recommend it for younger kids with supervision. We try not to buy too many plastic-y junk toys, but this is very nicely made and easy to get going. The packaging isn’t anything special - makes it look cheaper than it is, quality-wise.

Sturdy and Well-designed

This is labeled for Ages 3+. I'd like to see what a 3-year-old could do with it. It seems more appropriate for older kids and it offers excellent, unstructured trial-and- error experiences to develop an understanding of gears and how they work.

Good toy

Really good toy for kids that like to build but are board with the standard block style toy. Only complaint is the connections can give/detach with to much tourqe, but that is probably so the pieces come apart with relative ease when disassembling

Fun for the whole family!

This toy is great to help teach children how gears work. Our five year old twin grandchildren were engrossed in building with this toy for over an hour. No small feat when their usual attention span is 15 minutes. We all enjoyed putting together different configurations to make the gears work.

Looks like fun! Will have to keep parts away from ...

Just received the gear set. Opened it up and sorted all the pieces and can't wait to play with it with my 7 year old grandson. Looks like fun! Will have to keep parts away from the baby, this toy is not for a toddler.
