Great Home Office Scanner!!

Works as advertised and has completely revolutionized my home office! I have scanned and destroyed 5 years of old documents that I did not need to keep the originals of. This scanner is not perfect and it does jam but not very often, hence the $200 price tag (refurbished). The option to scan 2 sided pages in one scan is the best! If you need a heavy duty scanner I would say to buy a more expensive heavy duty scanner, but for a regular home office this is perfect. This scanner also works with my FileCabinet program making paper to digital conversion easy peasy!

Great product at a good price.

Love this scanner. I had to dig online to find the right application to download so I could use it, "Brother iprint and Scan" (for MAC) but once I worked that out, it does all I need it to do. Just can't load too many receipts at a time as they won't separate properly. I'm considering getting two more for our offices.

Great High-Speed Scanner

I replaced a cheaper, failed unit with this product. I use multiple Brother products so I have confidence in their brand. The scanner hooks up immediately to my laptop. All scans have been fast with both sides being copied when necessary. i have scanned a document with 74 pages with no difficulty at all. The setup was easy as long a directions are followed.

Excellent scanner!

This is my second ADS2000 scanner. I use the first one in my home office (an ADS2000 purchased in 2013) and this ADS2000e in a small closet office in a condo. Both are reliable scanners with straight scans and few paper jams, and they're fast. I recently tried out the smaller ADS1000 in the closet office, but had too many crooked scans and paper jams. The ADS2000 is far superior. The ADS1000 is going back to Amazon. A word of advice, ditch the included software. I use ABBYY Finewriter. The user interface is light years better. I scan to searchable pdf's and can find any doc in seconds with a few keystrokes in the Windows Explorer search field. I scanned in years of tax returns, receipts, and such and eliminated a tall 4-drawer file cabinet. Now everything sits comfortably on my hard drive and is backed up on an external drive (automatically) and a secure Data Locker thumb drive. I use the thumb drive or cloud storage to access the docs from both home and the condo. And I like scanning a lot better than paper filing.

Excellent product to scan photo prints

This scanner is excellent for scanning stacks and stacks of old photo prints. It works really fast. I used it only for scanning prints, did not try anything else yet.

I Would Buy It Again

I use this product every day at my office. I have had five other scanners over the last six years (four stopped working - other manufacturers) and I purchased this one because I love my smaller Brother scanner, it just didn't handle the larger documents. So, I took that one home and it is still working well. I needed something that would duplex, work with different size paper, was fast and didn't jam every two minutes and I wanted something that was affordable. It is well made and not too big. I needed something that would handle scanning large documents but wouldn't take up too much space on my desk. The documents I scan are usually between 50 and 200 pages. It doesn't hold that many pages, but I can easily break the document up and still feed sections in without jamming, which is next to impossible with most scanners. I also love the fact that it deletes the pages that are blank. It The installation was extremely easy and haven't had any glitches with Windows 10. The scan quality is good and the machine is super fast. Easy to switch from photos to pdf. I was able to scan over 200 family photos in minutes with good enough quality to have reprinted. I was then able to give them (on a thumb drive) to family members and they had the front and back of each photo, so they were able to tell when they were taken and who was in them. I am happy with my purchase and if I ever needed another scanner, I would buy this one again.

Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner replacement with Brother ADS-2000e equals money saved

Traditionally we've always purchased Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners which are pretty expensive but take alot of abuse. I decided to save a few hundred dollars and order this Brother scanner and i'm glad that I did! Not only did I save $200 it is every bit as good as the ScanSnap scanners. I'm a big fan of Brother Laser printers and now scanners! Great product!

Works as well as the Fujitsu for everyday scanning

I bought two of these items. One works great. The other one has an issue with the computer and takes 5 min to scan. I think the problem there is some anti virus software blocking communication with the scanner. To overcome that issue we don't use the computer scan software. Instead we scan from the scanner to a network drive. Then is works just fine with a slight increase in overhead time to get the scan from the network drive. Otherwise, for normal scanning it works just as well as the overpriced Fujitsu scanner that I also have. Will be buying more of these as the price is right. It pays to have one on each work associates desk. It is faster than have my work associates get up to place docs in the central scanner and then to the computer to scan and then back to the scanner to pick up the docs. It just takes to much time.

So Easy and So Fast

I really like this scanner. It was super quick and easy to install and is just much easier to use. You can just press one button on the scanner itself and it scans to your computer without having to load software on the computer first. It also scans REALLY FAST - like just 2-3 seconds per page. Much happier with this vs. the Epson multifunction I was using before.

Good scanner! fast

Good scanner! fast, easy setup, takes so many sizes of paper and has a plastic protective cover included. the program is ok, doesn't allow for much PDF editing, which is a problem if you want to merge files from different scanning sessions. The quality is not amazing, but pretty good. Arrived earlier than expected.
