I've had the Smad 35 bottle wine cooler for 3 weeks. It works as expected, temperature varies about 2 degrees from my setting. The unit is so quiet that I've checked to see if it was working at all. The unit is excellent and I would endorse it to anyone I know. That said, I would be remiss not to mention the OUTSTANDING customer service that comes with your purchase. Upon arrival there was a damage issue that was completely resolved within 3 days, No questions, no hoops to jump, no unnecessary time delays. Within 48 hours I was offered 3 options to resolve my issue, all of which were satisfactory to me. Buy this product online with confidence!!

I have only had this one week, so no comments about longevity. First, the item came double-boxed and was intact, no damage, as delivered by UPS. Plugged it in, set temperature, and in a few hours it cooled down to the set temperature - in fact I set it to 46° and my thermometer registered 45.8° - so no issue there. I then put thermometers at the top and the bottom of the cooler and reset the temperature to 51°. After several hours, I recorded 57° on the top rack (where I keep the Reds) and 52° on the bottom for the white wines. Personally, I find that performance to be just fine, and it seems to keep it pretty stable too. There is very little noise coming from it, and it is operating in a room that is warmish (about 80°). I have 33 bottles in it right now, and I could probably squeeze in 2 more on the bottom racks. Obviously, the 35-bottle capacity is based upon "regular" wine bottles - fatter wine/champagne bottles will reduce capacity accordingly, but I don't have a quibble with their stated capacity. So all in all I am very pleased with the purchase at this point. Provided that the performance remains steady (and right now I have no reason to suspect it won't), I will leave the 5* review stand. Should that change in the future, I will return here and update the review accordingly. Update: six weeks later, still running perfectly.

The unit arrived undamaged. No notice of delivery. Found outside of the garage. No biggie. easily unpacked and hooked up. No issues since delivery. Only slight noise when compressor engaged. Not objectionable. I would buy again.

Nice addition to the living room and keeps all of the wine chilled nicely.

very nice look and work efficiently, and very good value.

Thermostat display always reads 2-3 degrees below the 54 we have it set at. It is also pretty quite execpt you can hear it click when it starts or stops. Our last cooler was only 18 bottles so we are really enjoying the larger capacity.

Have had this wine cooler for a few weeks and I can say that it works really well for the size and price. I bought a small fridge thermometer and have moved it around to see how much the temps fluctuate within the unit. It seems to run a few degrees warmer near the top which wasn't terrible. I run it around 42°F and at the warmest point it was 46°F which is still cool enough for wine. I primarily store sparkling wines in this and since they are wider than other bottles of wine, it can hold 4 bottles per shelf. I took out two shelves to make it easier to get the bottles in and out. So 16 bottles of sparkling.

This is a really nice unit. Had another compressor unit for 20 years until a power surge blew it out along with all of my outdoor water timers. I was told the unit would arrive between Dec. 21 and 27. Received it on Dec. 15, a full week before it was due. Packaging was perfect and the unit is very attractive. Took me longer to cut up the shipping box then to set up the chiller. There was a loose, black 8 x 10 plastic piece inside. Sent a message thru Amazon to the seller. Received a response, pictures and instructions on how to attach that drip tray by 4:30am the next morning. Took all of 5 seconds to set it in. I let it cool down for about 4 hours and then loaded it with 30 bottles of wine. I let it sit for another 24 hours to make sure it got to the temperature I wanted for my red wines. I need to set it for 54 degrees to ensure the upper shelves stay at 62 and the lower shelves stay at 58. Exactly the temperatures I want. Sometimes what you set it at doesn't necessarily match what a unit produces. I have 2 refrigerator thermometers inside to monitor the temperature. It has not changed in the past 12 hours. The wines won't be moved until they are consumed, so whether they are at 62 or 58 is fine. I can fit 30 bottles of wine. Most are reds with a few Pinots (fat bottles) and one is a 1.5 liter. If I was only chilling Sauvignon Blancs, then 35 bottles would easily fit. Or if all the Cabs were by Justin. But I have every size of red wine, so the big bottles are in the basket at the bottom on their sides and the rest slide into the shelves easily. Just like another reviewer, I kept checking on it to make sure it was operating. Once it cools, there simply isn't any sound. You will barely hear a hum when it is in its cooling mode. I never thought I would find a compressor unit as good or quieter than my last one, but I did. You can pull the shelves out and they stop half way, so you can see which wine you are selecting. Is anything perfect? No. The blue LED lights are not bright enough to illuminate the wines, but fortunately I have an overhead light at that location, so I can see everything fine. I do wonder why reviews for the 28-bottle unit are included with the reviews for this 35-bottle unit.

Prompt shipment and responsive seller. Unit works well and bottles fit perfectly.

This unit is the replacement for the first one I ordered which had a very noisy compressor. Smad's customer service was some of the best I've experienced anywhere. They usually responded to my emails the same day and were very helpful all the way thru the process of diagnosing the problem and sending me a new cooler, which is almost silent:-) Very happy now!
