Oh my heavens my son absolutely loves the bass and says it is totally awesome the way it plays! Thanks for making his 18th birthday wonderful!

Great Job Fender!!
I've always been a fan of the Mustang series, I already own one and my only concern was the size and power of the pickups, it seemed to lose oomph on the top end, at times you can barely hear notes played on the G string. When this series came out with more and bigger pickups I gave it a try and this model sounds much better. It also has a three way switch which gives me options for which pickup is on, so there's some versatility. I love the feel, it looks great. I got the blue and wish the color were a bit deeper, it gets mistaken for white under some lighting, but it's a minor beef, it's a great bass for money

Been playing bass 40 years. Fender Precision and 5-string ...
Been playing bass 40 years. Fender Precision and 5-string fretless Schechter. This Mustang offers faster riffs due to closer frets, and more sounds due to second set of pickups. Spent hours just exploring the sound variety without changing anything on amp, just with bass toggle and dials. A drawback for some: it's a bit "tappy," as are short basses generally ... meaning you can hear the stings snap the fret bars sometimes, especially on E string. Had it set up professionally at Guitar Center for 40 bucks, which I certainly suggest before you play any bass (especially for an audience).

Set the bar higggghhh
Hey fender Fam, Cyd here. I have had the Capri Orange bass for a hot minute now. I have to say that it has really set my bar high. I bought this sonic blue mustang bass as well. I was telling my partner that I feel like they are built differently. The Capri definitely has a solid and vivacious body. I immediately returned the sonic blue. Call me crazy, but there was a total difference between the limited edition build.

Lots of booming sound!
My new guitar arrived on schedule and it has met all of my expectations. I have small hands and the short scale is so much easier to play and it is lighter than a full size bass that I have been playing for several years. I love this bass!!! It has a toggle switch that you can change from one pickup to the other or both pickups for a bigger sound. I recommend this Fender Mustang Bass for anyone who wants the sound of a full size bass without the size and weight.

I highly recommend La Bella’s short scale flatwounds
Exactly what I expected. I got it in Capri Orange; relatively hard to find. If you’re looking for a short scale Fender bass look no further. I highly recommend La Bella’s short scale flatwounds. Lots of different tones to be found with the pickup selector switch.
