Glad I made this purchase
I waited a long time to buy a stand mixer. I checked out several models . Read tons of reviews. So very happy i went with this Hamilton Beach 63391Stand Mixer. I don't do a lot of baking but when my Black and Decker hand mixer finally died i didn't want to mix homemade cookies and donuts by hand. Perfect for the job. So far worked great for everything from Mixing Meatloaf and pie crust To whipping Cream!! Really like this mixer Thinking of buying one for my daughter and one for my son's girlfriend for next Christmas!!

A great mixer.
This was just what I needed. It is very powerful and lightweight so I can easily move it. I don’t care for the tilt button for lifting the head up as I have sore shoulders and it needs to be tilted with that button. It has good power. The 1st time I used it I started it too fast and had flour all over and into all the parts. That was difficult to get out of all the crevices and it hasn’t happened again by starting on a low setting.

Unbeatable for the price.
So it's not a fancy mixer with 1000 accessories... BUT, for the other 99% of typical mixer uses, it works like a champ, and is dirt-cheap by comparison. We've used our mixer several times per week since getting it, and it works well/predictably every time.

Awesome mixer
Mixes as good as kitchenaid and price is 1/3rd of kitchenaid! I m loving it! Very easy to make dough. Easy to clean. Light weight. I use it to make roti/chapati dough few times a week. Excellent addition to my kitchen.

Great affordable stand mixer!
This a great standard mixer without breaking the bank. I've made two dozen cookies(beat blade), pizza dough(dough hook), baked French Toast(whisk attachment) and English Muffin bread(dough hook) in two days since delivery! The attachments are dishwasher safe but I prefer to wash by hand and it is a breeze to do so. The suction cups on the bottom keep the machine secure on the counter while in use. It's VERY lightweight and easy to move around. This a good stand mixer for a beginner cook or for simple baking. I couldn't be happier!

Great value for the price. Functions extremely well.
This mixer is a great mixer for the price. I was hesitant on going from a two beater design down to a single beater design and so far I am not disappointed. The shape of the beaters versus the shape and volume of the bowl work together in unison to allow for a great mix of whatever it is you are mixing/beating/folding/etc. Nothing feels overly cheap; but again I am making this statement for a product at this price point. We are not reviewing a $35,000 Hobart floor mixer here. The stand flips up easily and locks back down quite easily. The Beater releases easily. Overall I would recommend this product and would buy it again. I will update if there are issues as time goes by.

Fantastic Stand Mixer for the price!!
So far, I love this mixer. I had a KitchenAid, and after 20 years, it gave up the ghost. I just didn’t want to pay $400+ dollars for another KitchenAid, and was excited to find the Hamilton Beach for 1/5 the price. It does everything I need a stand mixer to do. It doesn’t have the powered hub, but I never used that feature, even when I had it. So, I don’t miss it.

Better than the higher priced mixers!
I am impressed by this mixer! I had one of the "best" mixers that recently died after 3 years. I spent a lot of time researching new mixers, hesitant to spend several hundred on a mixer that dies after 3 years (home use only not professional cook). I came across this mixer in several review lists and it rated as high or higher than the expensive ones of the same power. PROS: 300 watt motor is powerful enough to easily do all my mixing tasks, with heavy doughs or mixes you may have to reduce the speed a bit then it still does a great job mixing. Body is made of sturdy plastic so it is much lighter to lift and carry. The flat beater does a great job of mixing ingredients with minimal bowl scraping needed. The whisk does a fantastic job. The dough hook does a great job even with heavy doughs (dough removes easily from hook). All attachments are metal coated with a easy release/clean surface. The splatter shield snaps onto the bowl and will not fall into your batter, you put the shield on AFTER lowering the beater/hook/whisk. So there is not a big hole in the center for dry ingredients to fly up. The mixing bowl has handles on both sides and locks into place on the mixer with just a simple turn of the bowl. The orbital motion of the mixer does a great job of blending ingredients together (same mixing motion as the expensive one) and is far more effective than a 2 beater type of mixer. The tilt head makes changing blades so easy, also easy to get into the bowl to scrap (if needed) . Mixing guide is easy to see right on the top, just under the handle, large enough to easily see! Has the speed dial on the side, again very easy to see, has 7 speed choices with in between choices (so you can use 2 1/2 speed if 1 or 2 is not quite right. Strong suction cups on the base KEEP the mixer in place in use, No more chasing the mixer on my counter, yet releases easily when you want to move it. It is relatively quiet during use, you can hold a conversation in a normal tone of voice easily. The power cord is 2' 2" long. The handle on top makes moving the mixer very easy. CONS: Does not come with a flexible edge beater, there is one review that gives a link to a flex edge that they purchased..I find that does NOT make contact with the walls of the bowl except on the very top edge, so not really worth it. But the lack of a flexible edge does not seem to make a difference. With the motion of the beater you get, scraping the sides is not really needed. I have made heavy sticky cookie doughs, bread doughs, pie dough, cake batter, whipped cream, fillings for pies and I just love this work horse! If your looking for a reasonable price mixer that will not disappoint you, THIS is that mixer!! Great seller, well packaged very fast delivery. I highly recommend purchasing this mixer, and save a lot of money to boot!

Happy with My 1st ever Mixer!
I've never owned a stand up mixer and with the costs of Kitchenaid mixers, I've been hesitant. With the good reviews and better price, I gave it a try. I've made: Challah Bread, Cinnamon Rolls & icing. The dough hook made kneading way easier! Big fan so far, like the suction cups on the bottom. Easy clean up bowl & slippery, non-stick on attachments.

Has worked great so far!
So this is obviously not the BIG name in stand mixers, but we don't bake or do this kind of thing often. We just had a sudden urge to bake. The day we received this, we baked for about 7 hours, more the next day, and more the next weekend. Granted, I'm talking a short period of time, but we've kind of put this thing through the gauntlet. I'll tell you, for the money, we've been extremely happy w/ our return on investment.
