I'm admittedly very careful with my online purchases because I usually want a nice deal but also a quality product. Oftentimes, you get one but not the other, and this especially applies with electronics. That's why I researched extensively into cheap yet solid Bluetooth speakers and came across this one as an option. After I ruled out all the others (by reading reviews, watching demo vids, ect.), I bought this one at $38 in part because of all the great reviews and in part because I hoped it'd be a good investment. Turns out, as soon as I got it, I was pleasantly surprised by its tremendous sound and bass. My previous speaker (a Craig) couldn't even amplify the bass whatsoever and only had 3W output, but this small speaker packs a punch at a total of 12W - you can literally feel the bass when holding the speaker! I've been using it daily for chores, swimming outside, showering, and more, and I love its long charge life (about a day) and its great, crisp sound! If you're looking for a nice and affordable speaker, this is the one to go with! IN SHORT: Pros: - Excellent, crisp sound with a solid bass - Sleek design with easy to use buttons - Great range, portability, and battery life - Affordable!! Great investment Cons: - Sometimes lags when paired with video - Nothing else so far!!

I tried Anker, Oontz and Tribit. Compared all of them. Anker sound seems to be nasally congested. Although base was good. Oontz 3 plus sound was very clear but base was not strong enough. This lil speaker from Tribit has excellent sound, amazing base with pleasing clarity. I can simply say, it competes with bose mini portable speaker. Highly recommended.

Wow, this thing's sound exceeds expectations. Being waterproof & having halfway decent sound were my two big requirements. I originally purchased a Trendwoo Pocket ($20) wireless speaker and while it looked great, worked great, and sounded pretty good for how small & light it is it just couldn't put out enough oomph for my needs. So I bought a Photive Hydra ($30-40). Little bit more sound out of it, little bit better low end, and a high waterproof rating (IPX66) and is rugged so you can drop it. I always thought the sound quality should be a little better but the durability & waterproof aspects seemed a reasonable tradeoff & I was happy with it. the one dislike was the power switch being under a cover instead of being a button, so you have to open & close the cover to turn off/on every time. I finally dropped it from too high, (over 6 feet) onto hardwood & broke it. I did some homework & decided to stay under $50 with my replacement, settling on the Tribit. Holy cow. The bass clearly scales with volume. At low-mid volumes I'm *very* surprised how much bass this little guy puts out. At high volume it's pretty thin. But even as I say that, it's still got better low end at high volume than any other bluetooth speaker at this size & price range I've ever used and it's volume is outrageous. Like wth, this little speaker has no business getting so loud. I'm honestly quite impressed. This speaker is quite hefty so it feels very solid, it's a soft matte/eggshell black that's texture feels kinda soft & is good for grip & doesn't easily take fingerprints. Buttons are a tad tough to press but look good & feel pretty good. I didn't realize it would have a lanyard, which is nifty I guess. This thing sounds so good I'd pay a little more for a 'rugged' version that could withstand moderate drops, but if this is in your price range & has the functions you need then get it, it's amazing.

This Tribit XSound Go is a fantastic speaker for the price and size. It has a better sonic spectrum, battery life, and functionality than some "big name" brands that are just that, a "name" slapped on an inferior speaker. It's nice to have volume, play/pause and skip/reverse track function buttons on the actual speaker. Note: you MUST download the firmware update and install it in order to have the best sound from the speaker. The firmware update link is listed in the Amazon "Customer questions & answers" section of this product. At the manufacturer's site and product page, click the Product Guides button, then the file "Tribit XSound Go Upgrade File-Oluv" is downloaded by clicking the "Download the manual >" link. I couldn't use the recharging cord that came with the speaker as it wasn't a data transfer cord (there is a difference) so you may need to try other micro-USB cords you may have from other products in order for the firmware upgrade program to recognize the speaker. I also found a perfect case for the size of the Tribit on Amazon located here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0734WQXQD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (see photo)

I was looking primarily for good sound quality and balanced output. Clear bass, clear highs, clear mids. Sounds like "duh" but most speakers fall short in at least one area, especially in this price range. I read lots of reviews and this one seemed to fit the bill, so I bought it. I believe it totally lives up to the 5-star hype it's getting. In a small-medium room at medium volumes, it sounds like a much higher quality unit than the price would indicate. I haven't turned it nearly all the way up, haven't needed to. For comparison, I also own the JBL Extreme. Obviously that speaker is much louder and costs many times more, but honestly I'll take this one over the Extreme for most inside duty. The Extreme is super boomy, to the point where the bass buries the mids and highs, and said mids and especially highs are disappointing on the Extreme. This Tribit really exceeds the quality of the Extreme for articulation in the music. And like others have said, I was surprised by the bass output of such a small speaker. The whole speaker seems to radiate bass, and when you put it near a wall or especially in a corner, it can fill the room with it (without being boomy of course). I did just find a couple shortcomings with the Bluetooth, don't know if they're typical or flukes: It did drop the connection from about 5 feet away, just disconnected for no apparent reason mid-song. Also I fielded a Whatsapp call and the other person couldn't hear me well. But between all the uncertainties of wi-fi, Whatsapp, and Bluetooth, that may mean absolutely nothing. One interesting thing I noticed with this versus the Extreme is that this one syncs its volume with the (Android) device it's drawing from. I.e., when you turn the volume up or down on either the Tribit or the phone, the volume moves on the other one. With the Extreme, they're independent. Like the speaker is the ultimate volume and the phone is the gain. Make sense? I can turn the volume on the Extreme down and max out the phone, and the sound is quiet. If I do that with the Tribit, it gets loud. On one hand, this is convenient because I don't have to adjust the volume on two things to get the output I like. On the other, it limits the fine control of the volume that I can get by adjusting it on two devices. There are just a finite number of volume "notches" and sometimes the volume you want is between them. Probably no issue for most people.

I don’t write a lot of reviews. Normally, a product meets my expectations. And if it doesn’t, I send it back without complaining. But this speaker vastly exceeded my expectations and thought I should share. This tiny thing can boom sound like no other speaker of its size. I blasted the speaker full volume in a room downstairs. A few rooms and a flight of stairs away, I could still hear every lyric to the song I was playing. (You can tell I got a bit excited). It instantly connected to my phone via Bluetooth. It also seems sturdy enough that it can be knocked around a bit, which is helpful to me since I’d use it outside a lot. It’s the smallest portable speaker I’ve ever used, yet produces more sound without any distortion at high volumes. The quality of the sound at all levels is phenomenal. I’m excited to see what mileage I get out of it. But as far as I can tell, this speaker is the best one you can get for this amount of money. And I’d argue it’s worth more.

Tribit XSound replaced a Monster SuperStar speaker whose battery lost ability to hold a charge. Big Pluses: * Bluetooth synchronizes reliably and quickly. Big improvement of Monster * Battery capacity is strong, and lasts for so many hours I don't even think about it. The drawback is all that battery capacity adds weight. Designers made a good tradeoff. * Sound quality and volume is very good, and suitable even for an outdoor setting * Controls all synchronized with iPhone such as volume and next song. Works well. * Play/pause button I carry it with my daily walks, travel with it to listen in hotel room, and listen outside reading on our outdoor porch. Tip: TSA is confiscating lithium battery devices above a certain size in checked luggage. I would not pack this speaker in checked-luggage. You never know if a TSA Agent will need this device more than you do.

I'm very happy with this speaker. I was a little skeptical of the sound quality because it's so small. I'm no audiophile but I hate tinny sounding weak speakers with no bass and harsh sounding mid and treble. Amazingly this speaker has a full, balanced sound with bass that seems to defy the laws of physics. You have to hear it to believe it, but now I know why the reviews are so good. Connecting to my laptop or phone is easy. The signal is as good or better than my bluetooth headphones, so I can listen in another room in my (small) apartment with no breakup. Battery life is very good too, I've never run it until it died but the speaker lasted for a long 9 hour drive and seemed like it would keep going. The overall quality of the build is good, it's coated in a rubbery coating. The charge port and the line-in/aux port are covered with a flap that seals tightly when not in use. Tribit customer service was very responsive when I had some questions and concerns about the product. If you think you need firmware upgrade they will help you with that. I probably did not need it, but I did it anyway. So with the warranty and good customer service I know that if in the unlikely scenario I have a serious issue, I know they will take care of me. 5 stars, highly recommended. BTW, there is a coupon code so I got the speaker for <$30 - "BTS20BLK". No guarantee it will work for you, but worth a shot.

This is a perfect accessory for hanging out with friends - I easily packed it in my bag for a weekend trip to San Francisco and it was the best part of our day at Dolores Park. Setting it up on anyone's phone is really simple and the sound quality is fantastic. I'd definitely suggest this for anyone looking for a simple setup, great sound quality and easy portability.
