but works great, has a ton off features and power
a little tricky to get installed, but works great, has a ton off features and power. If there is anything I'd change I'd add a bracket option for the middle of the track to attach it to the ceiling. There is quite a bit of deflection when lifting the door. My door is an insulated 16'x7' and is heavy, the opener has plenty of power, just some deflection in the track.

One of the best upgrades I have done to my house
One of the best upgrades I have done to my house. Installation was easy connecting to WiFi was easy and the loudest thing I hear is the garage door in the tracks Such an upgrade over my old chain drive.

Good Quality and Good Features
A little background: This is the second Chamberlain MyQ Garage Door Opener I have purchased. I purchased my first one from Costco and got a lot of accessories included, some of which were just a waste. So the first garage door opener I purchased and installed myself is a 3/4 horsepower on my double car garage door. It is still working well after about four years or so. I really like how I get notifications when my garage door opens and closes, and when it remains open longer that 15 minutes. Based on my very positive experience with my first Chamberlain Garage Door Opener, I purchased a second one for my single car garage door (I have a three car garage). One of the main reasons was that I wanted to be notified when my garage door opens and closes because I have a soft water service, wherein my tanks in my garage are replaced every two weeks. Not long ago, one of the maintenance workers filled in for my regular soft water guy, and I watched him nose around my garage and mess with my wife's bike. I won't go into what resulted, but this is why I purchased this second garage door opener. It was not difficult to install, but I'm not a novice. Anyone who is somewhat handy and can read the instructions and install it. I installed it by myself, but recommend having help during the attachment to the door and ceiling phase. This Chamberlain Garage Door Opener is 1 1/4 horsepower, which is a bit overkill for my single car garage door, but in shopping on Amazon and elsewhere, it was probably the best option for the money. The 3/4 horsepower on my double car garage door is plenty powerful for it. I also like having the battery back up, as it has come in handy once or twice during a power outage. The MyQ connect is really amazing in the features it provides, and was really easy to add to my Chamberlain MyQ account. Just follow the instructions. Additionally, the keypad and remotes all work great. I highly recommend this garage door opener.

The garage door opener to end all other openers
This is the best garage opener ever! Maybe it’s sad that I’m so excited about a garage door opener, but I can’t help it: It’s super quiet—my dogs can’t even hear it opening from within the house. It’s WiFi feature is awesome. It’s super easy to program remotes from the opener button (which by the way also shows the temperature). The range is awesome—I can open and close it several blocks away. The opener button also has a motion sensor on it that turns the lights on. Oh, and it has a battery backup that can open the door even when the power is out!

If you already have a belt drive opener, it's relatively easy. WiFi makes this awesome!
I wasn't sure how much work was involved to replace an existing Liftmaster belt drive, which I believe was 10 years old. It was a bit noisy, but had other issues, like it wouldn't auto-reverse on contact, so the door would continue to close onto whatever was under it. In short, it turned out all I needed to do was replace the main unit and the door remote (old one was not compatible). The existing belt and infrastructure was compatible. So I can return the 8' extension kit I bought needlessly. I even re-used the existing door sensors, but may try replacing later depending on how it performs in bright sunlight (which often prevents the door from closing). I also want to raise the sensors from the recommended 6" off the floor so instead it is at least as high as the bottom of the vehicle so the door won't close on top of a car if the tires are not in the path of the light beam. So this new one is a bit less noisy than the old Liftmaster belt drive unit. Although the door squeaks a little, I am surprised by how quieter the operation is now. Since I have a bedroom directly over the garage, quieter has real benefits when someone is sleeping. Anyway, I have the MyQ app which I can use to open/close remotely and check status and receive notifications. You only need to pay if you want to integrate with things like HomeKit or Alexa, but otherwise you have free access to their native app. All these people whining like it's the end of the world to pay $1 a month for the integrations should be ignored (unless you are one of them). I'd like the HomeKit integration for free so I could use Siri to check status, but can easily live without it for now. The one thing to consider is how to place the new unit to achieve the correct tension on the existing belt, which has to be disassembled the existing belt if re-used so you can remove/install the main unit. When you look at the provided new belt, you will see that the spring is under tension and is 1" long. Once the new belt gets tightened, then the spring snaps off the groove and expands to 1 1/4". So that is the length you want to achieve if you are re-using an already used spring/belt, because you won't be able to re-compress it to 1". Figuring out how all this worked took some time, so it would have been easier to watch a video. The other thing to know that may save you time is that, once you install and tension the belt, the start/stop position is likely not going to coincide with the points you need. I don't believe it matters--at that point, you just go to the main unit and follow the instructions to set the start and stop points. I had assumed the sliding trolley needed to be at a certain location to begin the process, but in retrospect it didn't matter. So now I'm very happy, as I can finally get remote control of the opener and receive notifications when the door is opened. Notifications are be either push (not SMS) and/or email. The WiFi setup and app setup worked very well for me, so I consider it impressive that a traditional hardware oriented garage door company actually got the WiFi and software well. Of note is the warning on the package telling you to ensure you have appropriate WiFi strength in the garage. For me, I have one of my mesh routers in the garage. If you have a weak signal in the garage, consider moving your router or join 2018 and buy a mesh router to ease your dead spot problems. The app also contains a full history of openings, and upon opening will tell you how many minutes or hours it has been in its present state. I'm sure over time that feature will prove useful to figure how when something happened. The best feature is that you can set a time to auto close your door. So if you are normally in the house by 8PM, you can set a schedule to have the door close at 10PM every or any day, so that in the event you forget to close your door, you won't leave it open all night. You can always add a second one for later to catch any instances where you may have left it open after the 10PM check. When you use the app to close the door, be forewarned that the unit will issue a loud warning so that anyone in the garage understands the door will begin closing (within maybe 15 seconds or so). I think the only risk is if you have your car straddling the sensors, so they can't detect the tires because they are too low. If it is not obvious, it is possible to use this app to let in friends or extended family through your garage by opening your door remotely through the app. Of course, that presumes you leave the door to your house unlocked. Anyway, that can be a huge convenience feature when you need it occasionally. Update: After a couple of months of use, this has worked flawlessly for me.

Tricky to install, especially from a chain drive. Convenient and reliable once installed. Still cant use LED bulbs.
This was a bit of tricky install, so much that I actually considered deducting at least one star. I had to update an old chain drive to this new belt drive system. The included directions weren't very clear and I had to Youtube instructions for most of the install. *The threads on the included belt tensioner bolt were misaligned, and that in addition to the instructions not being clear, made it take me a couple of hours just to connect the belt to the rail. *The step that follows tightening the belt by hand to remove excess slack was totally worthless. Even after following the directions, and completing this step, there was still a ton of slack that had to be taken out *Connecting to wifi and the app is a bit tricky because it's done from the motor housing, not the garage opener screen. You have to use a series of blinking lights and beeps to guide you, which I feel is archaeic. *Setting the open close limits was a PITA. Simple.. but a PITA. *This opener is rated to have more power than my last but is slower. So why 5 stars. It is quiet and convenient. Wifi is reliable and the bells and whistles like time and temperature, motion sensor lights are handy. Final thought, I wish such a high tech device allowed for the use of LED bulbs instead of CFL or incandesent.

Powerful. Quiet. Efficient.
Belt drive makes it very quiet. Backup battery was the selling point for me. Haven't used the WiFi function yet, (probably won't). Easy enough to set up alone if you don't have to first remove an existing opener installed by an imbecile. Dual remotes are nice to have, not to mention the external wireless keypad entry. The interior wall control panel has got all kinds of nifty settings on it - I couldn't even begin to get into it for you. Very powerful motor. Makes opening the garage door look and sound effortless.

The Quietest Garage Door Opener I've Ever Seen!!
I love this garage door opener. It's definitely the quietest opener that I've ever seen. Whisper Drive!! Best of all you don't need a Chamberlain Hub for this opener to work in your smart home, on your Wifi! I took my time and assembled the opener in a few hours. (Read each step carefully.) I installed the opener the next day with the help of a buddy. It took about 2.5 hours. I also bought two Garage Parking Laser Assist devices, also made by Chamberlain. Now both cars are parked by viewing a laser light that shines onto your dashboard when your cars are parked correctly. The garage door opener is SMART too. It connects directly to my Wifi and can be controller with my iPhone from anywhere in the world. The app also tells you if your door is open or closed and for how long. (ie. Garage Door is down, and has been down for 36 hours...) Very cool feature for someone who travels out of the county every week like i do.) Great design, and extremely quiet. I highly recommend this product!!

Chamberlain B970: Feature packed, for a very reasonable price.
Next Day Delivery. The B970 is a very strong unit that is feature packed. Contains 2 Remotes, and can be programmed in your car if you have Homelink Compatibility. Not seamless to program but I managed to finally get both programmed. Suggest you call homelink which was needed on one car, but would have gone faster on the other car if i had called. In addition, it can be programmed to your smart phone with an App, and has a motion sensor light that is very bright, and even comes on when not opening the garage door. It also has an outdoor keypad to open the garage door even if you do not have a remote handy. Much quiter than my previous Stanley garage door opener. Opener pad has time and temperature on it. I would highly recommend and it is a very reasonable price. Chamberlain B970 Smartphone-Controlled Ultra-Quiet and Strong Belt Drive Garage Door Opener with Battery Backup and Max Lifting Power, Blue

Pretty easy to install
I honesty didn't know garage door openers could be so quiet! Pretty easy to install, especially if you're just swapping out an old one like I did. There's a bit of a learning curve and some time to set up the Wi-Fi feature, but it isn't TOO painful. I honestly didn't think I'd use it much, but I actually do use the phone app to open the door sometimes when I'm outside or forgot my remote in anoither car. You can also remotely check if your garage door is open. Which feeds my OCD! Definitely recommend it, if only for the quiet and strong motor. The Wi-Fi is I nice feature, but not necessary.
