I have perforated my right eardrum twice and my left once while serving over seas in a combat zone. These headphones are the perfect solution to my hearing problems as they bypass the ear canals. The bone conduction is fantastic, and I would not give these up for anything.

Let my partner hear
Can't express enough how much these meant to my boyfriend. He has no hearing in his left ear at all. And the only time he's heard anything from that side is when doctors tested bone conduction on him about 3 years ago. So when I saw these on Amazon I knew I had to have them. I ordered this red one and then a green one for both of us and I couldn't be happier with them. The packaging is wonderful and the carrying case is nice and waterproof. However, the best part of it all are the headphones. The moment he put them on and started playing music, he started to tear up, because hearing sound from his left side was so new and unusual for him. He still can't believe it and he's calling everyone he knows so he can hear them in stereo, listening to songs from Queen and the Beatles to hear the audio panning for the first time. It's incredible really. It makes both of us so incredibly happy!

Miracle for My Father
This technology is phenomenal. I purchased these for my wife as she has never found an in-ear headphone that is comfortable (she has small ears). She also didn't want over-the-ear headphones because she would have a hard time being aware of her surroundings. She loves these and uses them every day while working from home. What's more moving, my father, who as born with Microtia (ear canal closed and outer ear is underdeveloped), has never been able to hear out of one of his ears. After testing my wife's Trekz, he can now HEAR OUT OF BOTH EARS for the first time in his life (he's 61). It immediately brought tears to his eyes. Needless to say, we bought a pair for him as well. Highly recommended for anyone with Microtia!

These are cats - not dogs
Allow me to explain. Sometimes people say they don't like cats. But maybe it's because they're comparing them to dogs. It's similar with these headphones. If I were to compare them to conventional headphones based only on sound quality, conventional headphones win hands down. But if I compare the whole experience of listening to audio wearing these versus conventional headphones, it's a different story. I happen to appreciate enormously not having to feel something push on or in my ears. For comfort alone, it's well worth it to me. Also, when I wear reading glasses they don't press the arms into my head like my on-ear headphones do.

THE headphone for outdoor workouts
If you don't like the wind noises while running or biking, and want to be vigilant of your surroundings, then this is THE ONLY headphone in the market that suits your need. I used to go with Sennheiser PMX 680 for many years and finally found an alternative to that. If you like PMX 680's ergonomics, and don't like using in-ear while running, then again this is for you. If you don't want to hear the surroundings and want to have a closed-back headphone experience, like in the gym, please just use the ear plug offered for free in the box. I guarantee you that the "reduction in dB of the external sound" is light years better than overpriced garbage like Bose QC (which has terrible isolation in mid-low frequency range), because the ear plug literally forbids you hear anything except the vibration conducted by your bones. Seriously, to those who said sound quality, this is a bluetooth headphone with 10 ohm impedance with design aiming to get through a 4 hour marathon. Being an audiophile myself owning multiple high-end headphones, I find the sound quality of this headphone is more than acceptable during working out. If you like sound quality why don't you bring your Tesla T1+amplifier in a run. Indeed the bass is lacking, however, the reason you feel the bass is lacking is because you listen to garbage (like Beats with high distortion and atrocious frequency response) too much. The tone of this headphone is more like a reference headphone (Sennheiser HD280), yet with less resolution.

I first seen these in an airport and was able to listen to them and instantly loved them. When I got home I made the purchase and have been very happy I did. I am able to hold conversations with others in the gym w/out having to mute the music. The only time I experienced the vibration that others have mentioned was when there was a lot of bass in the songs, but if not a lot of bass, then no issues. Sound is good, fit is great, and the battery life is what you would expect (a weeks worth for me). If you really don't like earbuds or if you have problems with them staying in while you are exercising, then these are great. All in all these are the best headphones I've ever had.

Motorcycle and Runner use
So I have charged these units 1 time so far and used for 3 different runs (aprox 3 hours total) as well as ride to work every morning on motorcycle, roughly 1 hr per day riding. 5 days, as well as aprox 1.5 hours of random listening / movie time. Still on the same charge. -so the phone will give you a 10% warning, I did not notice this to give you a time there, BUT when it said "please charge" I had about 5 min till dead. For running - there is nothing better, I have tried so many different headsets wired and bluetooth, this is the most comfortable way to run, and have situational awareness!! Riding motorcycle - with loud pipes up to 100 mph. Use ear plugs (foamies that came with it, ordered some nice tripple flange) and I can hear the music just fine and still hear things around me better than with helmet that has Sena unit! no buds shoved in your ear, cause sooner or later they hurt. easy to wipe your sweat off of them unlike ones shove into ear as well. I put off spending 180 on these things for a while. tried a few others and returned. I wish I had never waited. oh, also tested with phone sitting in car 36 paces to a cement out house, music never even got fuzzy.

Love 'em
I owned the level down from these first, but had issues with them. This pair, according to the specs, is simply lighter. However there are other improvements that make them worth the upgrade. Bluthtooth connection is much better. Sound is better, comfort is better, the sound notifications have been improved. I still think the volume beeps and the voice informing you they are connected is still too loud though. In noisy environments one may need to use earplugs, but they will depend on several factors. There is some sound bleeding, but it is minor when you have them on and the people around me don't seem to know whether I am listening to something or not. This was a major concern of mine, because I don't want to be the person with the loud headphones annoying everyone. Battery life could be improved, but it hasn't proved to be a big issue for me. If you're on the fence, just order a pair and try them. It's the only way you'll know whether they are for you. I'm glad I did, because now I'll never go back to standard headphones again. Update 09/2018 I used these in conjunction with a pair of earplugs on a recent flight and they worked wonderfully. I basically had noise cancelling headphones on! My teenage daughter sat next to me and I asked her several times if she could hear anything, but she always said no. When you use these with earplugs the sound can be adjusted by holding down both the volume up and down buttons. The change is subtle, but it helps. I now love these headphones even more. 6 stars!

Cycling
I have been hesitant to invest in these headphones for a couple of reasons. 1- I would use them for cycling. Would they be comfortable with a helmet and sunglasses? 2- Would they actually allow me to listen to music, and hear cars and my surroundings. Here's the answers. They are very comfortable, and they fit under my helmet and with my sunglasses. (see photos) - Sound quality is not as good as headphones, but definitely good enough to enjoy my music. - I can hear my surroundings. If I turn my volume all the way up, it does, obviously, make it more difficult to hear traffic. - Phone calls: I can hear callers and they can hear me. Bottom-line for me, they allow me to listen to music and still hear my surroundings. They stay in place, handle all the sweat I can throw at them, have great battery life, and don't lose connection no matter where, in my Jersey, I keep my phone. They are a bit pricey, but so far I am very happy with them.

Best Headphones on the Market
These headphone are by far the best choice if you are active outdoors. I have gone through wired earphones, bluetooth beats 2 with a wire that connects both earpieces, Bose Soundsport Free and Jabra Sport earphones. All of those had fitment issues where I had to keep reinserting them while I was running. The Aftershokz sound great and I can run with them without touching them and after a few minutes you don't even know they are there. They haven't skipped a beat and the battery lasts forever. I don't understand how they can sound so good but they do. Ditch all your other earphones and pick up one of these. I highly highly recommend them.
