Exactly as described

Plugs works fine although I had issues mainly because I used 10/2 Romex wire which is too rigid, as opposed to portable power cable, which is much flexible and easier to handle. But I already had a 10’ length of the Romex wire available and with a little patient, the generator extension cord I made turned out of sufficient length and is functional. I live in south Florida and hurricane season is fast approaching. I have a large generator, 10K watts, but must be turned on manually during a blackout and going outside during high winds can be deadly. So, I purchased a Champion inverter generator with remote start and enough power to run two refrigerators and other essential devices at least until it’s safe to go outside to turn on the larger generator. The inverter generator is under a covered patio, safe from the elements and I can turn it on remotely from inside the house, while observing its operation through a hurricane impact window. The wall leading to the patio has a built-in pet door and that’s where the extension cord comes to play. I simply installed this Miady 30AMP RV Replacement Male Plug at one end (see pic) and at the other end it connects to two 20-amp receptacles enclosed inside a wooden box. The wooden box is big enough to fix inside the pet door and can be sealed with weather stripping to prevent generator exhaust fumes from entering inside the house. In case of a hurricane, I can have everything setup beforehand and if the electricity goes out all I must do is start the generator remotely from the safety of my home.

Great Quality/Easy Installation

My plug had melted at a campground and had to replace plug quickly with a cheap one I was able to find. That one broke so I ordered this item from Amazon which arrived very quickly and was able to easily replace. Instructions were clear and the plug seems like it will do a better job at keeping the water out. Also, my inverter has been buzzing and after the replacement it seems the buzzing went away which means I probably had a bad ground for for quite some time which this plug made have resolved with the great quality of the connections. I will be ordering an additional one to keep on hand.

Very nice extension cord

Great deal on this extension cord and would buy again. Comes with a great storage handle as well. Do not buy retail buy this one.

It works what more do you want?

. Nothing like products made in America or it appears to be. Overall It's well worth the cost and would recommend it to others. The little $1.50 strap makes it so much easier to carry and store away. In most situations, 30 ft works.

30 ft is better !!!!

Most of these ext cables come in 25 ft increments... I bought this one because of the reviews and the construction (including the carry strap). Didn't measure before hand, but had I bought the standard 25ft version it would not have reached and I would have had to relocate my RV to a less desirable location along side the house (yes, 5 ft makes a big difference). Couldn't be more pleased with the seller or the product.

Great way to fix a damaged cord

My old camper cord got some water in it and caused a short. I was able to cut off the old end and replace it with the is item. It works great and was cheaper than buying a whole new cord.

nice 30 amp plug

This is a well constructed plug with a good seal where the wire comes in. Installation was easy and it went together easily. I especially like the ring handle on the back to help when unplugging. I would recommend this product.

Easy Connection

Needed a new cord and was pleased to have the visible yellow ends with an easy pull apart. The bonus was the nice organizer that came with it. Definitely a selling point. No need to search for the right size bungee cord to keep it together in storage. My only concern was the box it came in was really too small and so I was concerned there could have been damage. Luckily everything was fine.

Works as you'd expect

Seems like decent quality. We use this to extend our RV power cord when we plug in (you do need an adapter to plug it into a standard, household outlet, however). The carrying strap is handy to both carry it and also to keep it coiled up.

Great replacement 30A RV plug...with instructions?!

Do you need more than pictures? Well, this replacement plug came with a sheet of instructions including dimensions of wire length, sheath length, exposed wire stripping, and re-assembly! Looks factory fresh...recommended!
