Sturdy, elegant looking decanter that gets the job done

I am blown away by this decanter. While looking for a wine decanter, I decided to give this a try because I am 110% satisfied with Vintorio's wine aerator that I am using. As expected, this product is very sturdy and beautifully designed which elevates my wine drinking occasions. More importantly, I love the fact that the top is big enough so that it gives wine a more room to breathe. I have recommended this to my friend who is a wine connoisseur and he is in serious love with this decanter as well. If you enjoy wine like me, you should give this a try as well. Pretty, sturdy and great statement piece!

My wife and I decided to get this after we received the aerator as a gift (I highly recommend this product if you love wine). Since the holidays are right around the corner, we wanted to try something new and interesting to liven up our gatherings at home, so we decided on purchasing a glass decanter. We decided to stick to Vintorio since their aerator was a very well-made product, so we figured their decanter would be the same great quality as well. Long story short, my wife and I really love this product! The decanter definitely helped bring out the taste of the wines while adding a festive touch to the occasion. It will have a permanent fixture in our home. My wife also had the following to say regarding the decanter: "It's pretty, sturdy and makes a great statement piece!"

Best that Amazon has to offer

The shape is perfect. Others are similar, I'm sure. But the divot in the bottom which, if inclined, you can use to position your hand for pouring and the amount of space available for the wine to sit "spread out" is the best of all the other choices. Quality of product - its heft, clear bubble free glass, and overall feel is really nice. The stopper is perfect - fits, and is a heavy duty rubber that fully settles into the top opening. Nice that it's not some stupid golf ball or globe - just a tasteful, classy black unadorned rubber stopper. Get the aerator from this same brand - exceptional !

A great all around product!

This decanter is just great! We just got it in the mail yesterday, and already used it with dinner last night. It is a solid and hefty piece, while not being overly heavy both my wife and I could one hand pour with a whole bottle of wine in it. The structure is great too as it's design gives a great shape for swirling and aeration, as well as a great thumb grip while pouring. Very Satisfied Customer!

Heavy Duty Decanter!!

This is a heavy duty decanter! The glass is thicker than most I’ve seen. It feels durable and looks great. The benefit to having a flat top is that you can pour from any angle. Many decanters have an angled top which mean you can only poor from one direction. The rubber stopper for the top is heavy duty as well and makes keeping the decanter clean very easy.

It's "Wine" of a kind!

After searching for the perfect housewarming gift for a friend, I found this decanter at the recommendation of my roommate ( a wine lover and self-proclaimed sommelier). My friend is quite a fan of red wine so I thought this would really step her game up from the nightly [pinot] noir. My first assessment was the packaging which was very nice (tasteful) and very protective, oh, and did I mention it arrived IN A DAY!. The lifetime guarantee was a nice touch as well. The hardest part for me was sifting through the bountiful array of decanter options, but after a bit of research as well as reading some of the more thorough reviews, I decided on this one. The rubber stopper it came with seemed a little unnecessary to me but I can see how this might be useful for storage. Overall, I was very impressed with this decanter and happy with the purchase. I know my friend loves it too! I will definitely be checking out some other products Vintorio offers with the holiday season fast approaching and my big Italian family popping bottles like it's their job!

Lovely decanter!

I'm quite happy with so far. It somehow manages to be light enough to pour from easily while the glass is still thick and feels solid enough to survive a fall if you've had one too many. Its shape makes your wine swirl around a lot as you're pouring it in or out so it gets plenty of aeration. I also appreciate the clarity of glass which lets you really the color of your wine.

My last decanter chipped at the top, so it was time to replace it. So glad that I found the Vintorio Citadel decanter (and with the holidays coming up! Lots of dinner parties!) It was thicker glass than I expected which actually pleasantly surprised me. Definitely not as fearful that this will chip or break with long-term use. It's also beautifully designed, and my friends were all impressed by the craftsmanship. As for usage, it did a great job aerating wine. The box that it came in was also sleek, and it felt like a nice gift to myself.

Great decanter, highly recommended!

This is a beautiful and well made decanter, sturdy but not heavy and easy to hold. The wide base works perfectly for full-bodied wines and decant the wine pretty fast. It’s easy to clean because of its simple and sleek design. As a bonus it comes with a stopper cover for protection and cleanliness. I highly recommend to anyone who loves wine!
