- Now with a longer neck to seal even better.
- Threads into the filter for a secure seal so the filter can be removed from the tight space without spilling oil
- T-handle makes removal and installation easier
- The tool also allows the technician to pre-lube the filter before installation

Works Great
Item works exactly as described for removing an oil filer from my 2018 Ram 2500 with Cummins diesel. Remove the filter and gently rest it on whatever is directly below it, but still hold it from tipping over. Use other hand to install this until snug against the o-ring/seal on top of the oil filter. Turn said oil filter sideways to remove without dumping a quart, or more, of used engine oil all over the frame. Remove the tool from old filter, clean, and install on new filter and reverse the process to get the new filter that has been filled with fresh oil in without spilling. Other reviews mentioned it could cover more of the filter seal, and while I agree it could, it still covers enough that it doesn't leak.

Works perfectly - if you change your own oil on newer RAM diesels you need this
absolute must when changing the filter on the newer Ram diesels where you need to extract through the whell while turning at 90 degrees, would imagine not pretty dumping oil over the frame. Using this not a drop spilled as i took the the old filter out. I always fill the new filter with oil, this allows you to do that.

I can now pre fill my oil filter before installing.
I found this item and bought it for me and my mechanic. I don't change my oil often any more. I have a diesel mechanic next to my shop so I use him. Now I have this little gizmo so he can install the filter with it full of oil. The engine doesn't have to run dry as long on start up. Those engine bearings so have some lubrication but if you can cut down on dry run time all the better. You can also use it to remove y9our filter so you don't spill oil when you take your filter out. I typically use an oil pump and suck the thing dry before removal anyway but with this you won't spill a drop.

Great solution to goofy filter/engine design.
Someday I wonder what school that mechanical engineers at Ram and Cummins flunked out of. Ram heavy duty trucks with Cummins engines were designed by computer jockeys who probably never changed oil on a lawnmower, nevermind a car. To access the filter, you have to reach through a small hole behind next to the front passenger tire, and with a cap wrench, turn the filter. The filter has no choice but to slide downward, and then to remove, you must tilt sideways. What a mess. Folks use plastic bags to catch oil, or just make a mess. This simple device keep the oil mess to a minimum, provided you can get this installed before you either burn your hand, or drop the filter anyway. If you get this installed, then the filter can be yanked out without spilling a drop.

Awesome little tool
It works great. I can remove the old filter, pre-fill the new filter and install all without making a mess. There was no way to do that before. The little "T" handle on top makes it easy to handle the filter while getting it in or out of the tight space between the frame and the AC lines on my 2018 RAM pickup. There are other tools similar to this on the market. I don't know how this one compares to those. Some of them are made of billet aluminum, but this one is made from a hard, plastic-like material. It was a lot less expensive than some of the others.

Great tool for the home DIY
This gadget is worth every penny. After you get the oil filter loose set it down, screw the plug in gently but it does not need to be real tight. I turn the wheel hard right just to give me a little room. Pull the filter out from the side. No drips, no mess. Put the filter over your oil pan and remove the plug. I add oil to the new filter, oil the gasket and screw in the plug. Slide the new filter in , remove the plug and install the filter. See video on you tube

Great product! Life saver
This thing is great. I work in a shop and I keep one there and one at home where I have two 2014 models. It was awful when changing oil before there was no way to do it without making a mess all over the truck to have to clean up and also was no way to fill the new filter up with new oil before installing without dumping half of it out putting it in. This thing makes life so much easier for me since I am frequently changing oil in these trucks. Works great leaves no mess to clean up maybe the best 10$ I’ve spent in quite awhile I 100% recommend getting one of these to anyone who is ever needing to change oil in a 2013.5-present model dodge heavy duty pickup with the 6.7 cummins engine.

Must have tool
Used to change the filter on my 2017 Ram Diesel pickup. Worked great except I didn't tighten it enough when i removed the old filter. Ended up spilling a bit of oil. That was my fault. Cleaned it up and used it to install the new filter. Nice to have the piece of mind that no dirt got in the filter during installation. Must have if you're going to change the oil on your Ram Cummins diesel. So glad i found this product. Thanks!!

Simple Solution
It is the perfect solution to a messy job. I used to pump the oil out of the filter before I tipped it over and pulled it out. The handle on this makes it clean and easy. I don't have to wait for the oil to cool before I can do anything with it.
