Fun

This is a fun, relaxing project IF you don’t let yourself get stressed by the fact that the “diamonds” have a flat side and a rounded side. The flat side is obviously supposed to be the side that is adhered to the mat, but they are difficult to pick up that way. Both sides stick just fine; one side is shinier than the other. If you’re a control freak, this probably is not the type of project for you (no offense!).

Mindless creation that’s fun to watch come to blingy life.

Love love love this 5D DIY Diamond “painting”! If you are looking for a mindless creative activity, need to unplug for a bit-this is for you. My dog kit arrived with everything I needed to get started. I laid out the canvas that is clearly marked with numbers and letters that correspond to the beads that are placed to provide color and texture. There is an acetate sheet covering the adhesive on the dog picture that you can easily remove as you work through the picture, then replace the acetate when you stop working. My tween son and I worked on this together and had it complete in two and a half weeks working on it here and there. It is addictive such that once you start, you will want to continue working to see the image come to “diamond” life. A perfect rainy day activity or evening activity that lends itself to some quality time, some competitive spirit to see who can get an area done first and will make a great gift for some friends who recently had to say goodbye to their dachshund. Get a kit and enjoy!

I loved this one!

I love these paint by diamonds and this one was awesome. It took me about 6 1/2 hours to complete but it is still holding up. I bought it a couple of months ago and did it the same night and it is still holding up! My plan is to frame it for my daughter and she is already in love with it. If you have never done a paint by diamonds, this is one to start with to see if you like it.
