A few months ago, I bought an 800 series Roomba for about $500. I ended up returning it after a few tries. I was disappointed by the battery that couldn't quite get through my larger rooms, cleaning brushes that left dust along the wall, and the fact that it only picked up about 90% of my toddler's dropped Cheerios, which was the main reason I bought it. At that price point, I expected much better. I love my Ninja blender and my Shark upright vacuum, so figured it was worth giving this one a shot despite it not being the industry leader in robot vacuums. What a pleasant surprise! 30% cheaper than the Roomba and it doesn't give me any of the issues! I've had it for a month now. My walls are dust free, and I have picked up literally one cheerio manually (the true test of cleanliness in a house with a 2 year old). The wifi connectivity, while not particularly important to me, is a nice added touch which, in RoombaLand, you can only get if you spring another $200 or more for the 900 series. My biggest concern was the brush rollers, as I had heard that Roomba's brushless rollers on the 800 series was a major step forward in avoiding tangles, but I've had zero problems. Long story short - if you're considering a robot vacuum (and you should), save yourself a couple hundred bucks and get this instead of the Roomba you've been eyeing.

I was skeptical about how well this would work but as a neat freak dog mom of 3, the constant vacuuming was getting old. This vacuum has far exceeded my expectations. It goes all over our 2300 sq ft house. It goes over all the thresholds & even the area rugs. It has an erratic pattern that doesn't make sense but that doesn't matter to me bc I just let it run and it eventually all gets cleaned up. It has an app that I installed on my phone that allows me to program it via wifi. I had to play with that for 30 minutes to get it set up. Haven't used that feature much as I just turn it on and let it go while I'm home. It does get caught up under the dining room table & chairs but there's not much room for it to move there. It cleans under the beds and the couches. We like this thing so much we are thinking about getting another one for the dogs room. I highly recommend! Update: the app on this is worthless, save the money and buy the version with the remote. The Shark itself is still great.

After almost two years of owning a Roomba I was skeptical to try the shark but it has impressed me. It’s quiet and delicate around furniture, the only thing I would change on it is the battery life BUT it has two brushes so it does twice the work in half the time compared to my Roomba.

I can’t tell you how pleased I am with this vacuum. I’ve never had a Roomba, but I think it gives them a run for their money. First off, you can’t beat the price point. For Just under $350, it is nearly half the price of it’s $700 competitor, the Roomba 960. The app for iPhone works flawlessly and it connects with my Amazon Alexa. I can schedule daily cleanings for when I’m at work so my floors stay clean. I used to walk around my hardwood floors with shoes on constantly because I could never keep them clean. Now I finally can walk around barefoot in my own house. I have a lot of floor space in my house and several large rugs and the vacuum had no issues picking up dirt. Battery life was fine to complete the job and it returned to its docking station when it was done. I could see myself having to use a regular vacuum to get my baseboards about once a month where it obviously can’t reach but it’s cut down my cleaning time drastically. It got a little stuck behind my couch, but I watched and after a few tries it wiggles itself back out. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone. It makes cleaning feel like fun. Work smarter, not harder

Fantastic! Keeps up with the endless supply of dog fur. Very quiet. It’s become my favorite family member. When it got stuck under the couch, it sent me a message that it was stuck and powering off. How considerate! The receptacle is large and easy to empty. Shark brand delivers a good product again!

I have been shopping around for robotic vacuums for several months but didn't buy one because a) the Roomba models are expensive and b) many of the other, cheaper brands are unfamiliar to me. I own two regular Shark vacuum cleaners that I'm very happy with, so I was excited to discover they are also in this market at a price point I can accept. I waited for this model to come out because of the smartphone app (which works well) and the Alexa connection (which I haven't actually tried out yet). I love, love, love this vacuum. I have a combination of wood and carpet floors downstairs, it seems to navigate around fairly well, although it does have a tendency to get stuck in the thicker carpet in my front room. I have two cats, one is a medium hair that produces clouds of fur on a daily basis, this little robot has no problem keeping up with the fur. And it does pick up cat litter, while not perfect, very pleased with this. Self-docking works well. I appreciate both the audio alert from the unit and the text alert through the app when it gets stuck - if I'm upstairs I don't always hear it asking for help. Very happy with my purchase.

First impressions are good! Goes over rugs no problem and it will not fall off the stairs! It’s also super quiet. Amazed at how much dirt it found the first time we ran it.
