Delicious Protein Packed Powder
I wanted to add plant-based protein to my diet, and I love this powder. I subscribe through amazon to save a little bit of money. I am happy with the taste (a delicious vanilla) and the texture (no grittiness). It blends easily with just shaking. If you're looking to an alternative to the expense (and sugar and calories) of your morning Starbucks, here's my recipe for a healthy protein packed alternative Vanilla Latte. Every morning I add two scoops of [[ASIN:B016K2P91Q Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy, Iced Mocha Cappucino] to one scoop of of the Vanilla plant protein. Add 16oz of water (or if you want something thicker, nut milk or regular milk): delicious, refreshing, energizing, and MUCH better for your wallet and waist than a Starbucks.

Happy to see ON include a plant based option.
I have tried a lot of plant based protein powders in my days as a devoted vegan. Much to my surprise, this Optimum Nutrition plant based protein actually had a pretty good taste to it. Love this stuff!

I've been chugging this crap for a year.
After 1 year of pounding this stuff I have come to a couple of conclusions. 1. Extreme milk chocolate is the only good flavor I've had. It's actually pretty tasty. 2. Double rich chocolate tastes like a generic of a already generic brand. And 3. My big swole man hands can barely type this review. Keep chugging.

Great protein for cutting
My husband and I have used Optimum Nutrition for years as a low carb, low fat way to hit our protein macros. Over time we've tried several different flavors and all of them taste great, though of course we have preferences. I also noticed that the sodium level went up on newer batches of the protein, but it only went from 115 to 130 - that's a difference of 15, which we consider negligible, and neither of us can tell a taste difference. If you want a good protein with low carb and fat that still tastes fairly good without breaking the bank, this is a great choice. PROTIP: If you are cutting and you don't have the calories to mix your protein with nut/soy/dairy/etc milk, do yourself a favor, purchase a $5-$9 water TDS meter, and make sure that the water you're mixing your protein with is as pure as possible. Within the last year we became very water conscious and did just that - we use ZeroWater filters now and we have noticed a definite taste difference with our protein. The same holds true for coffee. This simple change has ensured that we don't dread drinking our protein shakes any longer. Our favorite flavors are: 1) Extreme Milk Chocolate - Our favorite ON chocolate flavor. (My husband actually hates all of the chocolate flavors except for this one and double rich chocolate.) This actually tastes like you've made a glass of chocolate milk from Nesquick or something, even if you mix it with just water (which is what we do). If you blend it with ice or use it to make protein fluff it tastes like a chocolate shake. 2) Vanilla Ice Cream - I love this flavor, which is controversial because a lot of people hate it. It tastes exactly like the description - it tastes like melted vanilla ice cream, with all of the sweetness that accompanies that. If you like that flavor (and I do), then you'll like this shake. If you prefer a more traditional vanilla flavor, stick with French Vanilla. 3) Double Rich Chocolate - My husband's favorite chocolate flavor until we tried Extreme Milk Chocolate. I'm not a fan of this, however - it has a dry, chalky, almost malty taste in your mouth and is more reminiscent of dark chocolate. If you like malt and dark chocolate (which hubs does), you'll probably like this a lot. Thoughts on other flavors we have tried that were fine but not quite our favorites: >Birthday Cake - Great for making homemade protein bars and adding a little pizzazz to your shakes with the sprinkles floating around. Definitely high on the artificially sweetened taste, though, so keep that in mind. >Rocky Road - Wasn't bad! Wasn't great. Hubs absolutely hated it.

Compared ingredients and macros to similar brands and this one came out on top for me. I tried this brand because it was on sale at the time and loved that it was plant based although I have mixed it with milk which kinda defeats the whole purpose. Anyway, after I used it I went with another brand that was on sale since this one was back to its regular price. I soon realized that I missed this one because the other brand didn’t have the same value when compared since I needed two scoops of it for a little more protein than I was getting from just one scoop of this brand. So although it was almost double the size it was also double the servings making it a wash. The other brand was also frothy sometimes which I didn’t like. Until they mess with the ingredients or taste in this one or raise the price to something ridiculous I’m willing to pay a little extra for a quality product. Only complaint is there are only two flavors. Would love a chocolate peanut butter flavor but I’ve just been adding my own peanut butter which works. Cookies and cream or a caramel flavor would also be delicious.

Best protein for your dollar...and GAINS
Optimum Nutrition certainly sets a "gold standard" with this line of protein. It is as popular as it is for a reason; it is great quality for a great price. This protein tastes amazing, it's smooth, and it doesn't have a bunch of garbage fillers. You'll be happy to see that the scoop is normal-sized, a tell tale sign of quality protein. Mammoth size scoops need to compensate since there's so much trash in the blend. One of my favorite qualities about this protein is that Optimum Nutrition runs it through an additional process called "instantizing" which allows the protein to dissolve quickly and smoothly into any medium. You don't even need a blender/blender ball to mix, just give it shake in whatever container. Highly recommend to anyone with any fitness goals.

Milk chocolate powder mixed with chocolate almond milk... effective and oh-so-tasty.
Picked this up in the extreme milk chocolate flavor. I use this as a recovery drink after weight training, and it works great. Really helps me recover and keep my energy up between my workout and my next meal. I use 1 scoop of powder with about 10oz of unsweetened chocolate almond milk and it tastes just like a really good cup of hot cocoa or chocolate frozen yogurt. Not only is it really tasty compared to other flavors of powder I've used, but it's really tasty period. It's the first protein shake I've actually looked forward to having, and it helps satisfy my chocolate cravings for a while. Blends in smoothly and easily with my blender bottle, with no grit like I've had with some other brands. I haven't had any stomach issues or gas issues using this powder, and I have a pretty weak stomach, but I think this seems to be a pretty individual thing, some people will react to whey protein more than others.

i liked it enough that i bought more of it
mixes pretty well with spoon. slightly chalky, but very palatable. i like the taste; i mix it with vanilla flavored unsweetened almond milk. no bad aftertaste. after i finished this product, i tried MRM brand chocolate based on recommendation from Bodybuilding.com and cheaper per pound than ON brand; the flavor wasn't bad, but mixing was poor with a spoon and VERY nasty aftertaste so i only tried it only once - a waste of money. i immediately bought more ON plant powder, vanilla and chocolate (haven't tried this flavor). this ON product may be a little more expensive but it is definitely drinkable.

Just buy, stop looking around
Look, I want to help you out but at the same time I do not want my flavor to go on back order. After hours of research, I believe this is a great value, has great benefits, good taste... And.... Ok. I won't give you all of the name but I will say, you can not go wrong with chocolate. Ok where was I? Oh never mind. Look, just buy, you'll be happy, get a chocolate flavor but stay away from mine... You will be happy.

Best post workout protein I’ve found
It’s hard to find a protein that Delivers good ingredients plus recovery benefits and animo profile. If you’re on a journey to build muscle while on a vegan diet, you should try this. Flavor is not that great- I mean it’s pea protein so don’t expect it to taste like candy. But it gets the job done. For me it tastes kind of like pancake batter lol. Blending this is hell. So either add a blending ball in your cup if you have one, or a couple pieces of ice because water alone is gonna leave it clumpy. As for flavor you can add a smoothie mix or some fruits and it’ll taste A LOT better. That’s what I do. Overall will keep re buying because of the BENEFITS. I don’t care for flavor as long as it helps my goal
