I recently got into Nespresso capsules after a long quest to find decent espresso in America. I was blown away by the quality of the original brew. It's not like an espresso on via Condotti in Rome, but it's closer than anything I've had here. I didn't particularly like the machine I had, so I looked for something better. I found the Mueller and ordered it, and I think I found the perfect combination. This machine is incredibly sturdy and reliable. You drop the pod at the top, press the level down gently, and it invariably catches the pod and presses it into place. The espresso comes out every time the same with a variety of capsules from different makers. The water tank is sufficiently large and easy to refill. The used pod storage in front has two viewing windows that warn you when it's getting crowded in there. You remove both pod storage and overflow water tank at the same time, so you can clean both. There is a lot of attention to detail that went into this machine. You can simply pause the espresso making by pushing the buttons. Also, if you forget to close the lever, no water is pushed through. Drawbacks: The machine is loud when in operation. There is no feature to set the amount of water that goes into a lungo or espresso. The two buttons that select the amount of water are too close and you risk pressing the wrong one. There is also no visual feedback of which one was selected. For mysterious reasons, there is no all-black machine. The protruding part of the overflow water tank cannot be removed, which means you cannot put large mugs under the machine. Tips: It's easier to refill the tank with a pitcher, without removing it. The power cord is really short, have an extension available. The machine sometimes leaks water, don't put it on a surface that is damaged by wetness.

Good espresso made at home is difficult to come by without spending A LOT of money on a machine that really does the job right...so a big thank you to Nestle for coming up with a pod system that makes the job less time-consuming and messy, but, more importantly, affordable! Still to buy many machines that use this system is quite an outlay of cash...Mueller's machine is affordable, good looking, has a small footprint, and--most important of all--makes stellar espresso! I'm a self-confessed "coffee snob." I won't drink most coffee even from cafes, because I'm in it for the taste, not the caffeine. If it's not french-pressed Indonesian or well-made espresso, I'm out! Also, having worked for a time as a barista, I know what it takes to pull a decent shot--Mueller has got it down automatically. We've gone through other name brand machines before this one and had them break down within a few weeks. This sucker is built to last and takes up very little counter space. Thank you to the Yemeni for discovering coffee, the Italians for devising espresso, the French for putting it in pods, and the Austrians at Mueller for making it all work so well!

My only experience with a Nespresso machine is the base model I received as a gift. Perhaps the higher end machines are awesome, but the one I received routinely started my day on a bad note. The coffee was great when I could get the machine to work, but that was always a 50/50 proposition. I'd push the button, and the lights would flash and flash and flash and flash. Sometimes they would finally turn to a steady glow and allow me to make an espresso, others times they would flash forever. Unplugging it to create a reset would work sometimes, but what a hassle. Perhaps it was the cosmos telling me whether I needed a morning cup of coffee. So when I turned on the Mueller machine and the lights started flashing, I suffered momentary anxiety, but unlike the Nespresso machine, they blinked only for a few seconds before turning steady. So far, it has worked every time (that should not be a surprise). I also far prefer the tray system. The Nespresso had a flip up tray; down for smaller cups and up for slightly taller cups. The problem was that when in the upper position, I had to hold the cup against the machine or the tray would push it away from the spout. Finally, the the buttons on the Mueller are more ergonomic if you use it under a cabinet. The power button is on the front right side, and the brew buttons are right up front, as opposed to having to reach toward the back of the Nespresso to push the buttons. It also just looks cooler, with its large silver handle.

I like to choose my own coffee beans that I grind myself then express. I was never a fan of the capsule concept where you are held hostage by availability and limited choices. My wife loves a genuine café latté daily and wanted to be able to do it her self without going trough the traditional "rituals"... So I started researching and sampling what was out there, I stumbled on this Mueller Nespresso compatible machine and decided to go for it. So, considering my hesitation about this kind of product, I decided to wait some time before writing a review, and make sure I give a good daily run first of a month or two. Fantastic! I am a convert! I added to it a milk frother and voila! My wife LOVES it! Good built quality, easy to operate and clean. Don't find it noisy compared to the other brands out there. And by the way I know this will irritate some experts out there, but thanks to the high pressure on this machine (one of the best out there) I refill capsules with my own choice of coffee and I manage a pretty decent espresso with lots of crema! (picture attached).

I love this little machine! I love it more than my espresso machine, WAAY more than my Keurig and cold brew press. Granted most of those machine are designed for a totally different kind of coffee, but still this little machine takes the cake. As someone who is a bad coffee addict, ( I bought a Vitamix just so I could have the perfect blended coffee) this gets me my fix super easy and super fast without skimping on taste and quality. This machine is small and compact so it takes up a very small footprint too Way smaller than almost any other coffee/ espresso machine. I spent hours/ days researching different machines and what sold me on the Mueller was the customer service reviews and of course the price. Thankfully I still haven't had any issues, but based on other reviews, if I had any issues they would be handled. Also, some people complained about the noise being too loud... well as someone who has a real espresso machine and a Keurig, I can promise you it is not as bad as either of those two. It is only "loud" when you are lacking water or doing the initial setup where you run about 5 cups of water through the machine.

Ok here’s the story. Everyone knows about nespresso coffee machine and pods. Everything thinks that they are the best. What everyone doesn’t know is that they are indeed NOT the best. I know this because up until one week ago I had a pile of shit sitting where my new coffee machine now sits and I too thought it was awesome. Then said pile of shit broke and I was too annoyed to bring myself to buy another one so I took to amazon to find a replacement. I found this, liked the price, liked the reviews and ordered it. And let me tell ya, nespresso got nothing on this bad boy. First of all, the water tank is larger, the machine is waaaaaayyyyy more quiet when brewing and frankly, the coffee tastes better. I couldn’t be happier with this guy so even though you may not need know it, you need it. If your here reading this review, you need it. So just do yourself a favor and order it. Your welcome.

This device is everything that's advertised - Compact (takes up so little counter-space that my wife didn't even complain), quick (maybe 30 seconds to warm-up, 15 seconds to brew), convenient (nearly-instant caffeine at 6:00 AM or earlier, when I normally get up, is life/morning-changing), and honestly none of that even matters compared to the company's customer service. If for any reason you have problems with the device, call customer service and they will remedy your problems faster than you notice the Austrian accent. We had some issues with the device Amazon initially shipped (it seemingly allowed you to start brewing too soon, before the water had properly heated, producing lukewarm coffee), so I called the manufacturer. First of all, three rings and a person answered. I was taken aback. The representative was thorough, understanding, articulate, friendly, concise...I couldn't ask for more. A new device was at my doorstep less than 48 hours later, and it works perfectly. Would buy again, would recommend, do cherish.

I can’t be more thrilled with this machine and the overall experience. Let me tell you why. I ordered it 2 weeks ago. When it arrived I plugged it in and wanted to do the initial cleaning, but it wouldn’t start brewing. The instruction pamphlet was pretty straight forward, but before I return it, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong so I gave their customer service a call. Since no one responded (I called at off hours), I left a message to call me back. I decided to try it one more time, picked it up and it started brewing. Therefore, I realized that is losing the contact somewhere and that is defective, so I packed it up to return it the next day. I wasn’t frustrated as I understand things can happen + I have Prime so the returns are free and easy. The next day they called and left me a voicemail apologizing for the inconvenience and had asked me to call them back to their direct number, or just to text them my order ID and they will send me the replacement machine right away. I called them back and I can’t explain how genuine and professional the lady was. She got my order ID, ordered me the replacement right away, provided me with the confirmation #, and asked me to make sure to let them know once I get my money back. I said that it wasn't a problem and asked her how we should handle then paying for the replacement. She said that they will take care of it and that they are sending me the new one for free. I explained that it wasn’t needed as I wasn’t upset, that I am still their big fan just based on how they are handling my case. They insisted on sending me a free one, apologizing again. The replacement machine arrived and everything works great! I did a test and asked my friend to bring her Nespresso affiliated machine and we used the same Nespresso pods in both machine and there wasn’t any difference in taste or texture between the two. Machine looks great, takes no space on your counter, and it warms up in no time, so you have minimal waiting time between you turn it on and start brewing. Before I got it, I read the reviews here and some people complained or mentioned that is a bit loud. I really don’t think it is that loud. My mother has a professional home espresso machine (she paid over a $1000 for it) and even that one makes noise. The noise is insignificant, unless you are keeping it next to your baby’s head while at sleep :). Then anything is too noisy. I highly recommend this machine to everyone. I really don’t think you can find a better deal and still get a great quality and a great looking machine. Inconveniences can happen, but it is just matter of how people handle them, and they handled it amazing. My example shows their great customer service which led to the customer satisfaction. I rarely (almost never) write reviews, but in instances like this, they deserve to be written and acknowledged by others. Mueller, I am your fan from now on. Thank you!

Received our order this morning and set it up right away to test it and make sure everything works as expected. It made a great cup of espresso with no adjustments or fuss - just toss in the capsule and hit a button. If you're expecting a lot of options, know that this machine is capable of two settings - espresso or lungo only. There is no steam wand for other drinks, either. But for the price, it is a great espresso maker. It heats up quickly and is easy to maintain. We have a standard espresso maker at home with grinders, etc., and bought this for our vacation home. It makes an easy espresso and is perfect for our needs. The Nespresso original line capsules are easy to find and keep well, so perfect for occasional use. A couple of things to be aware of: - The body of the machine is very white. In some of the photos it looks almost metallic in the lighting, this is just an oddity in the photo. - When doing the initial cleaning, more water will come out than when making espresso since there is no coffee to absorb the water. I was concerned initially that our cups were filling to the rim, but they're perfect with a capsule in place. - With the support for short cups in place, the clearance is very close to the top of a traditional cup. Our cups are from Ikea and are a little bit taller than a traditional cup, so they have to be tilted slightly to be put into place or removed. There's enough empty space at the top of the cup, so it's not a problem, but good to be aware of if you're buying cups at the same time.
