Highly versatile and useful media device

This little Tenker unit is a pleasant surprise, with lots of great features, including a Remote Control! I've only had it a couple (busy) weeks, thus have been unable to test the DivX file replay functionality, but I will update when I do. Other than that, it has worked very well to play standard DVDs, and MP3s (music) from a tested USB flash drive-- but get this->it ALSO has an SD slot AND A/V input/output!! ("What does that mean?", you ask?) That means: • SD card slot - Save MP3's and DivX video files to an SD card, and leave it loaded (in the slot) to have Music and Videos ready to play at any time, without worrying about damaging the card or player, like a USB possibly could by sticking out and snagging/breaking during storage/travel. Super Travel-friendly, and less likely to be tampered with by younger children. • A/V Input (analog/RCA) - Gives the ability to use this Tenker DVD Player SCREEN for ANYTHING!! This means Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Arduino, Roku, TV tuner... Any other device that has an RCA audio/video output (just like connections to a regular TV) can be used, giving this little unit an extra point for versatility. (Note: The use of an 'HDMI to RCA convertor' could render a Chromecast and/or Amazon Fire player possible as well. If I get a convertor, I will update with a brief how-to.) •• A/V Output - this allows the Tenker player to be connected to any other RCA-input device, such as a larger TV screen, projector, etc. Up-size! •Built-in Battery - Lithium-polymer battery is claimed to last 4-5hrs, which is decent, all things considered. • 12v AUTO/Marine power adapter (via Cig Lighter/ Power port) - Take your media to Go! Never without a way to play and charge, for ultimate convenience. The Tenker media device played the DVD without a hitch and use of the Remote Control really makes it a comfortable experience. Have reasonable expectations with regards to overall build quality, and you won't be disappointed. This is a budget priced unit with lots of features, keep that in mind. The sound isn't going to astound you with fidelity, but it will be plenty loud enough to hear very quiet dialogue scenes, and the Headphone Output gives the option to use a full range setup, like a home stereo or Car AUX port, should that be desired. Bottom line: This Tenker DVD/Media Player is a highly versatile and useful device to have for travel entertainment and/or study, at a reasonable price. *(I did an unboxing video, that needs to be edited for length, and will be uploaded when time permits.)

Didn’t last long but seller’s customer service was awesome

Initially I was very happy with the purchase. For the price, the picture quality was good and , the sound was ok . Overall it was not bad for the price at all. Most importantly it maintained my sanity while driving long distances with my 18 month old. The issue I had was that the player stopped working after having it for only 7 months( bought it in January). I was very disappointed as I thought I’d have to stand my loss d/t the return window being gone. The seller contacted me despite the return window being closed and offered me a refund or a new player. I was extremely appreciative of them reaching out and offering to refund/replace. I opted for the refund as I’d already acquired another player. Despite only giving the product 3 stars, I’ll give a 5 star rating to the seller for their efforts to rectify the situation

Great Quality+plays homemade DVDs not just professional!

This little DVD player is so much better and more usable than I thought. It not only plugs into an outlet but can plug into your car battery as you drive--which will be so helpful for anyone with children on a long ride! Also, it charges while you are playing DVDs and later you can play things on the battery itself without having to be plugged in at all. The company also is really responsive and emailed me right away to be sure everything was going well. I'm confidant that the customer service would help me with any issues--so far i have found none. Oh and they packed the product very well so that it came securely and undamaged. The sound quality surprised me too since it is very smooth and not shrill but loud enough to fill a room. I like that it is easy to fold up and put in a bag or drawer and seems really sturdy. There's more to discover with this little dvd player so if you'll excuse me, i'm going to go an play around with it and see what else it does! God bless you! p.s. if you have little kids or anyone with special needs in your family, you might relate to how hard it is to lose electricity and not have any way to get computers or dvd players or tvs to work. This little dvd player can be charged and used in case of emergency or on long trips!

Great, it actually works pretty alright.

Shocked!

I wasn't expecting a lot when I got this player. I just needed something small enough to take with me on trips and play videos for the kids to watch or whoever was passenger to watch. But the quality of picture and sound amazed me! The screen rotates so it can be laid back like a tablet or swiveled so 2 can see at the same time. The sound was crisp and clear and had great volume! I was so impressed with it I ordered one for my husband!

Keep your cell phone and let the children watch DVD’s on here!

This is a perfect little DVD player to entertain little ones while traveling. It comes with a cigarette lighter power charger so you can power the player in the car. The lithium battery and portability allows children to hold on to this and watch/listen to DVD’s anytime/anywhere without a of fuss and without having to forfeit your cell phone for their entertainment.

Great product and outstanding customer service

Great product and outstanding customer service. Mine was actually damaged in transit, but Oxo quickly responded to my request to replace it and sent me a new one right away. It works great and has a lot of features for the price. Picture quality is very good as is the sound, especially for the small size. It is compact but sturdy. Very handy and easy to transport. I bought it because others had given it good reviews, and I'm glad I did. I'm joining in on the positive recommendations.

Great for the price, perfect for kids!

I got this for my kiddo who is a little rough on his stuff. It is still holding up great and my kid loves it. It takes a moment to load the movie from a dvd and it hums a little loud. But once it is started you don't notice it anymore. We got this for $35 and is well worth that price tag. Good deal!

At first glance

Wonderful, I just set it up and checking everything out. Can't give a rating on everything, but what I found I loved!! Brightness, saturation, hue, zoom, major things I wanted for Art DVD's. I knew it would be a very small screen, but I could get it close up in my work area, so when I found these treasures it blow me away. AC/auto were reasons also for this purchase, it was quite a ways down the list of DVD players...I'm so glad I kept looking...! Hope to come back later, after I'v used it awhile and update this.

Nice mobile dvd player

None for now ! Only one , i would like to have a mico sd card Included along with the Dvd player The model : PD728 Tenker upgrade. this is second review, the Dvd player has had a video display malfunction but tenker has honor their warranty policy , which i'm happy , the consultant JR was great at helping me get a Replacement , thanks JR & TENker
